Chapter 78 THE END PROMISE
Author’s POV
Her heart started racing. “Rafael… stop joking.”
“I’m not joking,” he said, his gaze locked onto hers. “Answer me.”
“Why are you even asking this?” she demanded, her voice trembling.
“Because they just asked to talk,” he replied, holding up his phone. “And in my world, that usually means one of two things… negotiation… or betrayal.” Eva swallowed hard, fear and confusion mixing in her chest.
“They’re my family,” she said softly. “You can’t just..”
“I can do anything,” Rafael interrupted.
The car fell into a heavy silence as Eva stared at him, realizing just how serious he was.
“And that’s exactly why I’m asking you first,” he added quietly.

“ I don't want anything,” Rafael said looking at Robert who was sitting across the table. Hearing his statement everyone in the meeting room gasped and their eyes widened.
Did they hear correctly? They couldn't believe their ears.
“ What?” Robert asked.
“ I don't want anything. Nor the money-neither any other revenge. I just want one thing and that is the destruction of the generational curse of exchanging daughters just to maintain peace between 2 families,” Rafael said.
“ This curse should end with me and Eva. And I also don't want you to destroy my house just because of sick revenge. I am trying to be more peaceful. Just don't bother me with your stupid act otherwise you know that what I did with Bianchi and Romanos,” Hearing the names of Bianchi and Romanos everyone present in the room shivered. Rafael gave them a very nasty death, especially to Bianchis.
“ I want to give the same treatment to you guys too but I couldn't because of my woman. She doesn't want anymore fights and revenge. And in my household we respect our ladies’ decision a lot. So I am dropping my revenge of killing you all,” Rafael looked into Robert’s eyes and then to Abram.
“ I also don't want that money because instead of the money, I want one thing and that is you guys getting out of my life and my family's lives,” Rafael said. “ If you can do this much then I am ready to drop my revenge,” Rafael said and gestured to Calo. Calo immediately walked to Robert and placed a paper and pen on the table. He also placed a pen and paper in front of Abram on the table.
Rafael places his gun on the table.
“ If you want me to take revenge then just tear the paper and if you want peace then give me the signature,” Rafael said and Robert understood the cunningness of Rafael. He wasn’t just talking to them, he was forcing them to sign the paper after placing the gun on the table. Robert knew that if he tear the paper then Rafael can kill him at the same place.
“ Dad,” Abram said.
“ Sign the paper,” Robert said and Rafael smirked.
“ What?” Abram said.
“ Yes. Sign the paper,” Robert said and looked at the paper. There was only one sentence written.
“ Kill us ( Miller ) if we bother you ( Vladimir)”
Reading it Robert looked at Rafael. Rafael looked unbothered.
Robert took the pen and signed on it. He turned the page and a second line was written.
“ No more exchanging of daughters just to maintain peace between Miller and Vladimir,”
Robert even signed on it. Calo immediately took the paper. Robert looked at Abram. He hadn’t signed.
“ Sign it,” Robert said and then Abram Sign on those 2 papers. Calo also took those paper and walked to Rafael.
“ Here,” Calo gave those papers to Rafael.
“ I am glad that you guys understood me,” Rafael inspected the papers.
“ Now I don't want you to show your face to me,” He stood up and took the gun.
“ Don't worry. I will let Eva meet you guys occasionally,” Saying that he turned around.
“ By the way,” he looked at Robert. “ Your daughter is a gem,” After saying this Rafael walked out of the meeting room of his building.

Meanwhile Eva was sitting in her class while her mind was in chaos. She had 2 bodyguards standing behind her and 2 bodyguards standing outside of the classroom.
She had her eyes red as if she had cried. Indeed, she cried while begging Rafael to leave her family alone… Alive. She had seen how angry he looked while she begged for her family.
“ Okay, class. That's all for today. Let's meet in our next class,” The professor said and Eva came to reality. The professor smiled while looking at her and then walked out of the class. All the students present there turned around to look at Eva.
Eva smiled, gathered her books and left from there. Her bodyguard carried her bag. As soon as she stepped out of the classroom a bodyguard said-
“ Boss is waiting in the parking lot,” she heard it and her body got goosebumps. Her heart started to pump blood across her body. She immediately started to walk towards the parking lot.
As soon as she entered the parking lot… her eyes started to look for Rafael and there she saw him smoking a cigarette while standing near his car.
“ Rafael,” she called his name softly. Her eyes roamed over his body. From head to toe. He looked clean. No blood.
Seeing her, Rafael threw the cigarette on the ground and crushed it with his shoe.
She walked to him. Her eyes were already gathering tears.
“ What did you do?” She asked.
“ You remember your promise?” He asked looking into her eyes.
“ Yes,” she replied.
“ Then get into the car,” he said and there Eva breathed in relief but felt bad for herself.
“ Okay,” she said and Rafael opened the car door for her.
Eva got into the car and there she got the remembrance of her promise-
“ I promise, I will live with you happily when you leave my family alive without any fight. I promise, I will give you a happy family if you let my family be happy,”
