Chapter 68 Bored of you

Chapter 68 Bored of you

Author’s POV

The next morning,

Eva slowly woke up with the sensation of warm breath brushing against her shoulder. For a moment she stayed still, her mind hazy with sleep. Then she shifted slightly and turned her head.

Rafael was lying beside her.

Fast asleep.

Their bodies were tangled together under the bedsheet, the warmth between them making it clear they had fallen asleep wrapped around each other sometime during the night. Memories from the night before flashed through her mind… his sudden appearance on the balcony, the way he had looked at her, the laughter, the teasing, the intensity of their reunion.

A cheeky smile slowly spread across her lips.

‘ That man is insane,’ she thought.

Just as she relaxed again, something suddenly clicked in her mind.

Her eyes widened.

Eva quickly turned her head toward the bedside table and grabbed her phone to check the time.

7:00 AM.

Her heart almost jumped out of her chest.

It was ‘ 7 in the morning’ .

And Rafael was still in her bed.

At her father’s mansion.

“Oh my God… oh my God,” she whispered in panic.

She immediately shook Rafael’s shoulder.

“Rafael… Rafael!”

“Hmm…” Rafael hummed lazily, barely opening his eyes. His voice was thick with sleep.

“Rafael, wake up,” Eva urged, shaking him again. “You need to leave. It's seven!”

“Why?” Rafael muttered grumpily, pulling the pillow closer and trying to go back to sleep.

Eva stared at him in disbelief. “Why? Because you are at my daddy’s mansion!” Rafael opened one eye slightly.

“And?” he asked calmly.

“And?” Eva repeated, almost choking. “My dad would kill you if he finds out you climbed into my room through the balcony!”

Rafael sighed as if she was disturbing the most peaceful sleep of his life.

“I will tell him I came through the main door,” he replied casually. “And that you opened the door for me.” Eva gasped and immediately smacked his arm.

“No! You absolutely cannot say that!”

Now Rafael opened both eyes and looked at her with amusement.

“And why not?” he asked.

“Because they won’t like it if they know I opened the door for you!” Eva said nervously.

Rafael stared at her for a moment.

Then his eyebrow lifted slowly.

“Oh,” he said thoughtfully. “So they are fine if you open your legs for me…”

Eva’s eyes widened.

“…but they aren’t fine if you open the door of the house for me?” He looked genuinely puzzled. Eva slapped her hand over his mouth instantly.

“Rafael!” she hissed. “Keep your voice down!” Rafael chuckled against her palm.

She pushed his face away and whispered urgently, “Please go before someone sees you.”

Instead of getting up, Rafael pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her waist again.

“No,” he murmured comfortably.

Eva blinked. “No?”

“I’ll leave when I get bored.”

“Bored?” Eva repeated, staring at him. “Bored of what?”

Rafael’s lips curved into a slow, mischievous smile.

“Bored of you.” Eva narrowed her eyes.

“That’s not what you meant.” Rafael leaned closer, his voice dropping lower.

“I will leave once I get bored of fucking you.”

Eva rolled her eyes immediately and pushed his chest.

“Oh please,” she said confidently. “That’s never going to happen.”

Rafael laughed softly.

“And that,” he said, tightening his arms around her again, “is exactly why I am not leaving yet.”

“ Rafael, it will make the situation worse. They don't like you,” Eva whined.

“ As if I like them,” Rafael countered back and Eva giggled.

“ I will be coming to your place. So why are you insisting on staying here?” She asked.

“ Eva, I am hungry,” Rafael said. “ You should go and get something back to the room. Go,” Rafael added.

“ No, you are leaving. You will eat your food at your mansion,” Eva said.

“ Oh,” he said but Eva felt bad.

“ Are you really hungry?” She asked.

“ Obviously I am,” Rafael replied.

“ Then wait here. I am going to take a shower and then I will go to bring something for you. Until then you stay here,” Eva said.

“ Good girl,” Rafael said and Eva tried to remove his hand which had circled her waist. Rafael freed her.

“ And Don’t you dare step out of the room,” Eva said and Rafael smirked.

“ So what will happen if I meet my dearest father-in-law and brother-in-law?” Rafael commented.

“ Ohh,” Eva coughed. “ Dearest father-in-law and brother-in-law? Only I know that if I leave all of you three together you guys will end up killing each other," Eva said and Rafael chuckled.

“ It's true actually,” Rafael replied.

“ So you better be here,” saying that she slid away from his body. Rafael opened his eyes to watch her. Her naked body ran to the washroom and seeing her running away he smiled.

He closed his eyes to take some more sleep.

After taking a shower and getting into jeans and top, Eva stepped out of the washroom. She saw Rafael was still sleeping.

“ I am going to bring your breakfast. Wake up and take a shower,” Eva said.

“ Okay,” Rafael replied. His eyes still closed. Eva walked out of the bedroom and closed the door behind herself without making any noise.

Eva entered the kitchen and walked over to the maid.

“Are Daddy and my brother done with their breakfast?” she asked.

“No, madam,” the maid replied.

“Okay. Actually, I’d like to have my breakfast in my room today, so please prepare a separate tray for me,” Eva said politely.

“Of course, madam. Is there anything specific you’d like us to cook?” the maid asked.

“Hmm…” Eva paused for a few seconds, thinking carefully. With Rafael on her mind, she listed the breakfast dishes she wanted.

“Alright, madam. It will be ready in about twenty minutes,” the maid replied.

Eva smiled warmly. “Thank you. Until then, I’ll help you.”

After thirty minutes, Eva walked toward her bedroom carrying a tray of food. She moved quickly through the hallway, making sure her father and brother didn’t see her.

She quietly opened the door and stepped inside. Her eyes immediately went to the bed… but it was empty.

“Rafael?” she called softly.

There was no reply.

She glanced at the chair where he had left his clothes the night before. It was empty too.

“ Did he leave?” she wondered.

Placing the tray of food on the bed, she walked to the bathroom door and knocked lightly.

“Rafael, are you inside?” Eva asked.

Silence.

Just then, her phone buzzed in the pocket of her jeans. She pulled it out and checked the screen.

It was a message from Rafael.

She opened it and as she read the message, her eyes widened.
