You won't rule us

You won't rule us
Sleep didn’t come again that night, not with the adrenaline coursing through me. My mind raced, calculating. If I stayed passive, they’d grind me into dust. But if I fought, I’d have to be smart. Kade had power, Harriet had influence, and the rest of the pack was caught in their orbit. The only way to survive was to find the cracks in their perfect world—and exploit them.

The first light of dawn crept through the barred window, and with it came the distant sounds of the pack stirring. My body ached, but I pushed myself upright, leaning against the wall. Whatever they had planned for me today, I’d be ready.

A sharp knock on the door broke the silence, followed by the sound of the lock turning. I tensed, half expecting another ambush, but when the door swung open, it wasn’t the girls or Kade standing there. It was a guard, his expression blank as ever.

“Get up. You’re needed in the kitchens,” he barked, motioning for me to follow.

I didn’t argue, didn’t hesitate. I needed to see more of the pack, to learn the layout of this place, to find the people who could help me—or at least, those who wouldn’t hurt me. I followed the guard down the corridors, my mind mapping every twist and turn.

The kitchens were a chaotic mess of clattering pots, shouting voices, and the thick smell of cooking meat. I was shoved toward a stack of dirty dishes, and the head cook a grizzled woman with sharp eyes looked me over with a snort of disdain.

“You’ll wash, you’ll scrub, and you’ll keep your mouth shut,” she said, thrusting a sponge and a bucket of soapy water into my hands. “You don’t, you’ll regret it.”

I nodded, biting back the retort that rose to my lips. For now, I’d play their game. For now.

As I scrubbed at the endless mountain of dishes, I listened. The kitchen staff gossiped freely, their words blending into the rhythm of their work. I caught snippets about Harriet’s growing tension with another pack member, about Kade’s increasingly harsh orders, about whispers of unrest among the slaves.

It wasn’t much, but it was something. And it gave me hope. Because if there was unrest, if there were cracks forming in the foundation of Kade’s pack, then I could use them.

After washing the dishes, they began to send me to take food to the upper class werewolf members and the warriors.

“Bring my food quickly”, As I walked back to cooking area of the kitchen , I heard someone say. It was the beta himself.

Yesterday he told miss Daniella that I wasn't allowed in the kitchen but here he was ordering me. I pretended like I didn’t hear him then went on with walking.

“You just a rogue in this pack and you have to respect me as the beta of this pack”, Out of the blue, my hair was in a tight grip and my locks were being pulled roughly.

“Respect me?”,

I hated those word.

“keep your hands to yourself!”, I snapped angrily and all the slaves who were working turned to look at me with their mouth open. This was going to be another fight. I didn't want to fight and face the stupid Kade but I was tired of being disrespected.

“You really need to be taught a lesson”, He hissed out.

“Am ready for it”, I retorted and the other slaves gasped in shock. “Be careful. I will beat the crap out of you”, He threatened. “Go on”, I retorted.

He chuckled, “Ah, you still stubborn even after everything, l am gonna beat you this time seriously, I'm not merciful like Alpha Kade", he taunted, all of his ego appearing in the grimace plastered on his face. “Bite me,” I hissed.

Ugh. What a way to start a day. I will show him, the true me.

“I’m waiting”,

I ran my fingers through my hair and looked away from his face. The more I stared, the angrier I got. I wanted to strangle him. I was fade up with being disrespected.

“This rogue doesn't respect anyone, Alpha is surely

going to kill her this time ”,

I heard one of the slave speak but I ignored her. My claws instead emerged and sharpened out of my hands, I released my fist and whirled my hand over their beta's face, however, before my claws could bruise him, he grabbed my hand and stopped me. Quickening my instincts, I buckled my knee to his crotch and he grumbled, grabbing himself and releasing my hand. I threw my leg at his stomach and with force, he flew off the kitchen doorway and crashed against the wall outside.

“What a bitch!” I heard him growl as he wiped the blood of his lips. When he raised his head, I saw red-nothing else.

When he stood up, holding his stomach and limping towards me, I backed away. Male wolves could heal quicker as they had the strength and power too. And secondly I was no longer that strong since I hadn't eaten anything since yesterday.

In a flash, he was standing in front of me, and before I could use my reflexes, he threw me against the mirror with full force, causing the mirror to shatter into my back. The pain was inevitable, ongoing as the sharp shards tore my skin apart. I rolled on my stomach and bit my lip to contain the scream but some omegas were already running out of the kitchen afraid.

“A rogue like you won't rule us", He said, pushing his boot towards my head and moving it back so I could meet his gaze. “Now be a good slave and bring me food,” He knelt down and spat out at me.

I didn’t reply to him. I just closed my eyes but all I saw was his blood. The fire inside me was boiling.

A second later, I heard him scoff as I didn’t fight back until the last very moment. I dashed away from the ground and grabbed his throat, slamming his head against the tile, thrusting my claws inside him and drawing his blood out. His mouth hung open as he tried to choke out words but failed to do so.

“Let me tell you something, Henry,” My claws deepened inside his throat as I leaned beside him. “Men like you-they only know how to blabber. Don’t ever underestimate a rogue like me, that’s if I let you live after this.”

“Alpha Kade will kill you if you kill me..” He coughed out.

“Do you think I give a shit about him?” Well, I did. But I didn’t want to show my weakness. I honestly feared him and what he was going to do next to me.

“Who don’t you give a shit about?”, I i’mmediately froze when I heard that voice.

It was the Alpha himself.

Shit! I was dead.

He already ordered for my starvation and here I was in another fight .
