When You Need to Win at Politics, Get Them Wetter than a Fire Hydrant
Fucking with Resa is unpleasant. She’s not a sadist like Roman, but she is far from attractive enough to merit my attentions. She’s tired and old, and thoroughly uninteresting, but she finds me completely invigorating, of course. She’s wanted me for centuries, but with Roman around it was 100 percent a ‘you may look but don’t touch’ scenario, on pain of bloody death. Yet now that the tyrant who so jealously regulated my activities with the other clans is gone, I’ve become Resa’s dutiful fuck-boy to keep her coven of hundreds from seizing my assets and slaughtering my progeny.
“I can’t believe you do this with the livestock,” she pants, at the usual endpoint of our annual, private audience.
“Yes, the stinking, disease ridden blood bags really do not deserve my attentions,” I play along seductively.
“Then act as a proper member of the Dulce clan, my lord of night,” she brings up, yet again. “Instruct your members to save their attentions for their own kind. Even the humans know it is perverse to fuck a chicken, or a pig.”
“You cannot turn a pig into a vampire,” I point out dryly.
“And a prael is a worthy bedfellow only after they are transformed,” she nonetheless insists. “Remaining mortal, they are food. Nothing more.”
“I respect the customs of your most ancient, esteemed line, but I need not be bound by them, do remember. You said I could keep my autonomy,” you old bag, “my queen,” I smoothly correct the almost slip up. “Grow too domineering, you are going to upset me, and I will cease giving you these long and loving gifts.”
“Then perhaps I will lock you up in this coven and never allow you to leave,” she counters, pinning me flat on my back with that unfortunate, ancient strength that far supersedes my own. “You’ll be starving for my affections in no time, or else just... starving.”
“Brute force and threats today, Resa?” I coldly respond. “That is far from your usual decorum.”
“Well today I learned some upsetting things,” she coos, squeezing at my mouth, as her hips start grinding down upon the flaccid, thoroughly uninterested member below. “But wipe that frown off these lips and get me in a better mood: exhausted enough to forgive you your sins.”
“Fucking with praels is only a sin to you peculiar, prudish Dulce,” I coldly correct, “and my coven simply must persist in its behavior. We must maintain the appearance that nothing has changed. After all...” I pull down her head and bury my face in her unpleasantly perfumed hair, trying to block out the stench of it and picture Leah in my mind, so I can firm up again before she starts calling me impudent. “If my clan were openly calling themselves Acoli Dulce,” I whisper in her ear, “then the Draugr would surely hear of it, discover Roman’s death, and invade. My progeny is the only thing that keeps them in line, do recall. He could force you in line…”
“Not before I tore his head off. I really aught to do it too. Roman had no permission to create such an abomination. All half breeds must die.”
“He did die,” I merrily correct. “I killed him. Now Gracen is not a half breed. He is fully turned, a fully legal member of the clan, sitting safe beneath my thumb.”
“Yet I hear word of another half breed…” Shit. I hate this brilliant hag. Her network of spies is far too extensive. “That livestock you’ve been fucking with,” she refers to Leah. “You must stop that immediately, my Luscious. And you simply must kill the offspring.”
“I have no mortal offspring,” I honestly reply, holding her gaze, as I drive in my dick and set her to squealing.
“Mmm. Yes, it is your progeny’s offspring,” she mistakes Gracen for the father. “Born with the same deadly gifting, I hear…”
“A gifting safely glamoured and controlled.”
“Oh, I know.”
You can never trust a warlock to keep your secrets. They always spread the gossip of their accomplishments and services. The second we paid to have a glamoured necklace made for Ben, separate from those glasses made for Gracen… Of course that drew attention and put the child on Resa’s radar. I’ll be killing that warlock for betraying my clear order of discretion, but first things first…
I shove Resa off of me and pull out long before climax, heading for the door. “You know, I have a wedding to crash, so I really cannot be wasting anymore time on someone who betrays all their bargains and tries to take my services without giving appropriate payment.”
“Don’t be like that, sweetness,” she coos, yanking me back up against her and kissing my cheek. “Your payment is power and status--”
“A bargain I had with Roman and am not at all interested in reliving,” I snap. “I already have power. I already have status. I did not give up those things when I allied with you, and my requirement--”
“Full autonomy. I know,” she relents, dropping her hands. “Keep your coven, keep Roman’s, and run them however you wish. Fuck with the praels… but destroy any half breeds that form from the unnatural union,” she concludes, her snake-like pupils growing all the more slitted with displeasure. “That is an agreed upon rule of every clan.”
“A rule repeatedly broken.”
“Not by the Dulce,” She holds up her finger. “So remedy the error, and kill that half-breed child, or else my men will do it in your place. They were already outside this ‘Leah’s’ apartment, preparing to right this crime…” My eyes grow all the colder. “Then your pretty painter dared murder them, just this past hour.” So Julian was babysitting Ben when her men attacked, fucking fantastic. “You know I have every right to execute him for that.”
“You have zero right.” I wrap my hand around her throat, speaking right up against her ear. “Even the threat that you would dare lay a hand on my property is unforgivably rude, Resa. I don’t respond well to such uncourteous coercion.”
“Perhaps sending my men over there was… premature,” she concedes, easily peeling off my hand. “I will forgive your man defending your territory into which we were intruding. Still, I will require you to remedy this situation, Luscious. Have your painter come make amends to me.” My eyes darken. “If he is pleasing, he will pass into my service along with another vampire of your choosing as payment for the two enforcers he shot--”
“He is my husband.” I hold up the silver wedding band on my finger, and Resa arches an eyebrow. “That makes him my equal, far outranking your enforcers. He was defending himself, defending my territory, and keeping safe my future weapon by shooting those men, so he will not pay penance and you will not lay a hand on him.”
“I’d heard that wedding ring was to bind you to your prael,” Resa challenges, seizing hold of the offending finger. “A most ridiculous and unnatural commitment...”
“There is hardly a commitment involved,” I counter. “It was a three way marriage. We just did the honorable thing, putting a ring on the finger of the woman we intended to keep fucking with forever. And it remains a fully open marriage. All it did was gift me certain benefits.”
“Regardless, you really must turn that girl already,” Resa sniffs.
“Oh, I will, my mistress,” I swear. “I’ve held off these past two years only so as not to disrupt certain needs of human biology.”
“While she was growing and feeding that abomination of a child you mean?” Resa guesses.
“That useful tool of a half breed, yes. He needed his mortal mother exactly as she was. But now that the little sprout is up and walking, chewing solid foods, I intend to make my Leah one of us this very evening.”
“Then you will cease being a pig-fucker,” she crudely approves, smoothing her hand over my ass. “Still, you must promptly strangle the creature that emerged from this soon to be undead bride’s womb, before he becomes a threat to us. That is my ruling.”
“There will be no threat, because I will turn him fully the second he comes of age,” I counter. “I would even let you turn him,” I entice. “He could be your commanded progeny, an invaluable tool for negotiations.”
“Tempting. But to give my most sacred blood to an abomination would make me an absolute hypocrite,” she insists. Then I get down between her legs and get her wetter than a fire hydrant, before drilling into her until she’s too delirious with pleasure to resist me.
“Trust me,” I press the words moistly right into her ear. “I never misidentify a threat for an asset. Either let me turn him, or turn him yourself, when I allow it. Either way, that boy will be one of us before you know it. And we will need him, Resa, the same way we need Gracen, to deal with Adebisi and the Draugr…”
“Ten years,” she bargains.
“Sixteen, at the minimum,” I insist, quickening my rhythm, until she’s screaming her giggling agreement.
“I suppose children never do survive the transformation, being such weak little things… Very well. You have until the day he turns sixteen. And if the boy does anything, and I mean anything, to draw attention before that time, you are to kill him immediately.”
“What a merciful ruling, my queen,” I subtly mock, pulling out of her and wiping myself off on her thousand thread count sheets. “Now, I am late for another engagement.”
“A wedding you said?”
“Yes. My progeny is trying to interpose himself into my union with Julian and Leah.”
“Well he is fairly easy on the eyes,” she breathes. “I suppose you’ve already treated yourself a hundred times, after he became yours to command.”
I don’t correct that assumption. Much as I despise Gracen, he is attractive enough that I would put him on bottom in an instant and we could have a long, passionate hate fuck, if only he swung that way…
Though I did see some most interesting videos of just what Gracen treated himself to with Alex and Jason and all of my praels, both male and female, right after he turned them.
If I could persuade him to remember that side of himself, dear Leah would be ecstatic. It’s what she’s always fantasized about, having all of us at once. Now we are all three of us going to be legally wedded, bound to one another…
“My dear bride forgets anyhow that she is in sore need of someone to walk her down the aisle and give her away to her new groom.”
“Have you let your claim on her grow weak while leaving her a human?” Resa dryly pries. “You leave her to live outside your coven, nested with that former half breed and their new abomination…”
“It was a temporary arrangement, nothing more,” I vow. “My word is my bond, my lovely mistress. Leah shall be made into one of us this very night, and her child shall become your groomed and perfect weapon.”
...unless I find a perfect, peaceful method of murdering this old demon sometime before that sixteen year time limit ticks down.
