CHAPTER 2

I didn't need to feel the sun on my face to know it was morning, my body knew when it was time to wake up even without an alarm. As I opened my eyes, the long dark curtains that covered the windows made it look like it was still dark out, but I knew better. As I made a move to stand up, the hand on my waist stopped me. How can one have such heavy arms?

I turned to look at the owner of this arm, and my eyes almost came out of their sockets. If I thought this man was gorgeous at night, he was definitely gorgeous-er in the little light seeping from the curtains.

That's when I felt it, the banging headache. The dizziness came shortly after. I softly peeled Antonio's arm off my body and got out of the bed. Noticing that Aliya wasn't on the bed, I glanced at my bikini laying on the floor. I winced when I saw the shape of my now torn bikini bottom. There was a dress shirt laying close to my bikini bottom. It had to be Antonio's. Seeing as he had oh-so-gracefully tore my bikini bottom, I grabbed his dress shirt and slipped it on.

It was three sizes too big and fell to around mid-thigh. At this point, I was thanking God for my height. I grabbed my purse and my stilettos, then I walked out of the room.

I wandered barefoot around the house, trying to at least find Aliya. The house was seriously massive and painted white, with a touch of brown everywhere. The only room that wasn't painted white was the one I just came out of. Antonio's room was painted grey, and the curtains, black. I gave up trying to find Aliya—I'd probably get lost in this place—so I did the next logical thing, I tried to remember the way out of this massive house, which only caused my head to bang harder. I almost forgot I had to deal with this hangover.

Hangovers are a bitch.

I held my head as I walked to the living room, where naked people were sprawled on the rug.

"Going somewhere?" A voice said behind me. I smiled at the voice.

"Aliya," I called. She looked more beautiful than she looked yesterday. I envied her comfortable clothes, wishing I had them on.

"Aren't you gonna stay for breakfast?" She asked me, and I shook my head. I regretted it immediately. I winced, holding my head together like it was about to crack open.

"I can't, sorry. Thanks for the offer though," I told her and she smiled. "At least have an Advil before you go. I don't want you passing out on the street," she offered, walking to the kitchen. I followed after her, taking the drug from her hands and sending it down my throat, after which I drank some water.

"I'm never drinking again," I groaned and she laughed. "We always say that the morning after a wild night," she said and I agreed. I can't remember how many times I've sworn never to even sip alcohol after a night out.

"It was really nice meeting you, Aliya," I told her, giving her a hug. "I gotta bounce," I said, and she nodded after telling me it was nice meeting me too.

We exchanged numbers and I left the house. I don't even know why I didn't call an Uber, the thought of walking to the gate and waiting for a taxi was depressing me.

I did it anyway, and luckily for me, I got a taxi immediately. I got out of the house, I told him my address, and relaxed in the car. I couldn't wait to be in my comfort zone and away from people.

I didn't hate people, but I didn't like them either. I just tolerated them, but Aliya, she was something else. The confidence she had was beyond me. I felt like she was just like me, she didn't hate people, but she didn't like them either, only close ones I guess.

My mind wandered back to the sleeping man I left in the house and the mind-blowing sex last night. His stamina, his confidence, his voice, his body, his dick, his thrusts, his lips, everything about him was perfect. I had the best night of my life last night. I don't think my sex life will ever be the same. Ever.

The taxi stopped right in front of my apartment. I paid the man and hurried out of the taxi and into the hallway because the people around here were very judgmental and I wasn't really dressed appropriately. Irritated looks aren't what I signed up for this morning.

When I got into my apartment, I made a beeline for my room and straight to my bed, needing the comfort it gave. I took my phone out of my purse to see if I had any missed calls or notifications. I only had one from my dad. I decided I'd call him later. Right now, I need more sleep.

----------------

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing and I cursed under my breath at the person calling me.

When I saw the caller, I rolled my eyes.

Anabeth.

"Anabeth, how lovely of you to call me while I was sleeping," I spat into the phone. Anabeth—or Ana as we called her at the office—was the secretary to the CEO of the company I worked at. She was a bitch and a know-it-all. Everyone, including myself, hated her. She liked to gossip so much that I wonder how she actually gets any work done.

"Haha, very funny, Sewa," she shot back and I rolled my eyes, wishing she could see me do it.

"Why'd you call me?" I asked. I didn't like talking to her and I wanted this to end so I could continue my sleep.

"I sent an email to you about the deal we're about to close. Frank needs those finance papers, like yesterday," she said quickly. I noticed how she said Frank, not Mr. Blue, like we all call him.

"Okay, Anabeth, I'll send you the conclusion so you can send it to Frank, or do you need me to do it?" I asked in a fake voice, just like hers.

"Send it to me. It's Mr. Blue to you, you know. But I'll let this one pass, Sewa," she spat and I hung up. I just couldn't handle her ass at all.

I grabbed my laptop and went to work immediately. I didn't want Mr. Blue's wrath tomorrow. Mr. Blue was a gentle soul most of the time, he only lost his cool when things weren't done right or when he was anxious or nervous.

I was done with my work in no time and I sent it to dearest Anabeth. Thankful that I could go back to bed again, I adjusted myself on my bed. But just as I was about to close my eyes, my phone started ringing again.

God! Who could it be this time? And what's with people keeping me from my precious rest?

I grabbed my phone; it was Aliya calling.

"Hey," I said as I picked up the phone.

"Hey girl, you busy?" She asked and I told her I wasn't.

"Well, I want us to meet somewhere for lunch. I have a lot to tell you," she squealed into the phone, and I accepted, I couldn't say no to gossip coming from Aliya. We set a time and a place and she hung up.

I stayed on the bed for a while before I dragged my lazy ass to get ready, seeing as I didn't have much time anymore.

I got dressed in skinny jeans and a black halter top. I decided to leave my natural Afro out, as I've been wearing wigs for a while now, so I packed my hair in a high bun. I like packing my hair this way because it brings out my face.

I grabbed my bag, inserting my phone, cash, credit card, and lip gloss into it. I have an unhealthy love of lip glosses. I ordered an Uber and waited for my ride to arrive. Once it did, I got in quickly, checking the time on my phone.

12:05 it read. I was late by 5 minutes already and it definitely would be 15 before I got to the restaurant. I wasn't wrong; I was late by 15 minutes when I walked into the restaurant.

Aliya saw me before I saw her. She waved her hand to get my attention and I walked over to her.

"Sorry I'm late," I told her as I made myself comfortable on the chair.

"No problem," she said.

We ordered fries and ketchup and joked while we waited for our food to come.

"So, about the thing I said I'd tell you," she started. I could tell from the way her eyes started to water, she was about to laugh.

"Shortly after you left, Antonio woke up. He looked angry, like someone had taken his candy. I asked him what's wrong, but he didn't answer me. He was cursing at something. I asked again, then he told me it was you that was wrong. At first, I was confused, but he went on about how you just left without saying goodbye, leaving just your bikini on the floor. He complained like a seven-year-old girl would. Oh, I wish you had seen his face!" she said and we laughed.

"He kept asking if I knew your address or something to locate you, so I gave him your number," she smiled.

"I'm sorry, what?" I almost yelled, earning looks from the people beside us.

"I'm sorry, I just had to. He looked like he was going to kill me if I didn't give him something," she protested and I sighed.

As if on cue, my phone started ringing; it was an unknown number.

I picked up and I wish I hadn't.

"Cara," the person said. I didn't need a fortune teller to tell me who it was, that voice could only belong to one person.

Antonio...

Somebody kill me now.
