23. DARE ME.
"Truth or dare"
Her hands clasped the bottom of her wine glass, and she sucked the round edge with her succulent lips, the red stained it before swimming down her throat and Olivia cleared her throat.
"Truth." She muttered, crossing her legs on the ground, and he was sitting on the chair, his gaze on nothing else but her. One hand of her dress had fallen past her shoulders and her eyes began to twinkle with seduction. "What did you and Sam do that night?" Damien asked with intention, like it was a question that haunted the back of his mind. Olivia let out a chuckle, looking in his eyes. "Nothing." She whispered. "Nothing but talk"
"And he tried, but—"
"But what" Damien leaned closer to her. "There was another person, there was always another person" Her words slurred, and Damien was up his chair, holding up her face in his hands. This wasn't a dream, nor a nightmare. It was real, and she felt it in the depths of her stomach. "Who?" He asked.
"You're only allowed one question, remember?"
He pulled away from her, sitting on the carpet as well. And he took a shot of his whiskey, his eyes still on her. "Truth or dare" She asked, like they were two drunk teenagers on the edge of a building, with a raging party beneath them. She downed one more glass. "Dare" His words were laced with a passionate tone.
And Liv sat up, his eyes falling to his knees. "I dare you" The red in the room tampered with her vision and she managed to make out his figure in the dark between them. She bit into her lips, only moving a few inches forward. "I dare you to take off your shirt"
Damien looked at her, letting his hands fall to the hem of his shirt and from the bottom, he slowly loosened the buttons. Olivia pushed a lump down her throat, a glint of mischief in her amber eyes. She could see him a million times shirtless, and she would never get tired. He reached the middle, letting each side fall to the side of his muscled torso. His skin glistened in the lights as he pulled out his arms. She didn't break eye contact, although staring at his happy trail was a temptation she resisted with all the self control that she had
"Anything else?" His stuck his hands into his hair, resting back on his arms. And Liv took a sip of her wine with shaky hands—he was like a god before her, somewhat submissive. And the fact that she could tell him to take off his clothes and he would was a turn on for her in that moment. "Yes" She mumbled, and he scoffed jeeringly like she was scared to go any further.
Scared that her self-control could only go so far. He just sat there, letting her sulk into the view for what was already the third time since Vienna. "My turn?" His voice was husky and dry and he took it as a cue to have another shot.
"Truth"
Her answer was no surprise to him, it was the only response she ever gave but by the smirk in his eyes, you could tell he was no stranger to people like Olivia Sanders—nor was he to this game. I mean they played it during summer camp. She was only a few years late, but looking at him, it was somewhat worth it. He could turn even a truth to a dare.
He licked his lower lip. "Are you a virgin?" His question stung her ears as color filled her cheeks, not that he could see anyway but she was immediately embarrassed. "I'd take that as a yes" He referenced her silence and she sat forward. "You're never had anything inside of you" He blatantly uttered and she cleared her throat. "You've never known anyone—"
"Only myself" Came a shrill whisper. And his eyes shimmered in the dark. "What does that mean?" He said, and she smirked. "A girl never shares her secrets, but i'm not a stranger to pleasure, Mr Archer" Her voice was low and he hummed. "Oh really?" He was quick to ask and she held up her champagne glass.
"Is that another question, Damien?" She was slightly drunk, they both were but for a minute she placed the glass away, fixing her gaze solely on him. She twirled the crystal that hung around her neck and his eyes darted to it. "Your turn." There was a crack in his voice. "Truth or dare." She asked him.
And he blew raspberry. "You already know my answer." He said and she held up her hair. "Make it worth it" He whispered. "For you or for me?" Was her punchline and he couldn't get enough.
"I dare you—" She paused, cutting through his words. "I dare you to show me something you haven't showed anyone in your life" She said and Damien chuckled slightly. "Your darkest secret—" Her whispers echoed in the room. "Your worst sin."
"I should show you" He muttered and she bit into her lips. "Don't tell me, show me Mr Archer." He got up, stretching out his arms and she looked into his palms. "Where are you going?" She asked, looking at the silhouette his tattoo created in the red light.
"You asked."
"Come with me" He tugged her hands and Liv almost tripped on her steps but he held her close, walking out of the room and into a separate corridor. One opposite the floor that held both their rooms. He stuck his right hand into his pockets, hefting out a bunch of keys. Olivia looked over her shoulders at the empty house, her heart falling in her chest as they came to a halt in front of a large, black metal door. And they locked eyes again.
"Are you sure?"
She ravaged her head for the worst case scenario but yet she nodded, out of curiosity. To see a part that no one else knew. A chamber—a story to his mystery. He sought answers, answers that may be behind that door. And he slid the key into the lock, and a clang shot up her ears. He still held her wrists firmly in his as he pushed the door open and a sharp scent went up her nose.
His fingers flipped the switch and the light was blinding that she had to cover her eyes. He let go of her hands and for some reason, Liv fell to the ground. The first thing she saw was a strap of handcuffs lying next to her, alongside a pair of gloves. She jolted to her feet, holding unto a bed that stood in the center of whatever room this was. She took her time to sulk it in, turning slowly around and letting her gaze feed into every item. Damien was quiet as she did so.
The sheets were silk red, with a black lace across it, and there was a rod that pressed into it. A black one, like every other thing in this room. When she heard the metal door close, she turned around to him, unable to see him the same way. There were many of those rods, all shapes and sizes, alongside masks and toys decorated on the headstand—dildos, cubes and chain. A stick, a cane and a whip falling to the carpet. She gasped, twirling the edge of one and he inched closer to her, letting his words seethe through her ears. "You like?" Came a mysterious whisper and Liv pushed a lump down her throat. She was speechless, and the tug in her stomach was louder than her voice.
"What is this for?" She held up a whip to his face and he took it from her naive grasp. "I can't tell you." "What do you do here?" She took one more look around, and further down another room to her left and all he said was what he'd already said before.
"I can't tell you."
She was insistent, persuasive with her glare. "But you can show me" Damien backed away from her, but she held his arms back.
“I want you to show me."
