Chapter 32- Dance With Me
Aria was about to walk over to Adrian when Miles and Jenna both walked over to her hand in hand.
“We’re enjoying the party so far, what about you?” Miles asked with a small smile, before he drank some of his drink. Aria smiled and looked up at him,
“It’s good isn’t it” she said as nice Christmas songs played in the background. Jenna smiled and looked at her,
“Yeah definitely, we also met Adrian’s parents” she said excitedly. Aria smiled and looked at her,
“His dad looks a lot like him doesn’t he” she said about Cengiz. Jenna smiled,
“Yeah, just a lot less serious” she said, and it was then Adrian walked over to the group and heard what she said nice and clearly as Jenna wasn’t the quietest of people around.
He rested his hand on Aria’s lower back and looked at Jenna,
“What did you say? I didn’t hear you properly” he said quietly, making her pretty brown eyes widen. Miles looked at him and smirked,
“If you didn’t hear that then you need to get your ears checked out” he said quickly, making both of the girls laugh. Jenna looked at Adrian,
“I’m sure you heard what I said” she said, hoping he didn’t question her further. Adrian looked at her amused,
“You’re right, your voice isn’t hard to miss” he said before he turned to his attention to Aria who was rather quiet.
Aria felt her heart skip a beat the moment her eyes met his dark ones.
“What’s on your mind?” Adrian asked her quietly before he kissed her on the side of her pretty face softly, thinking even after everything Hunter had told him, he still wanted to hear it from herself.
“Maybe you” Aria said with a small smile, before she reached up and kissed him on the lips softly, with her heart hammering against her chest. Adrian kissed her back and looked down at her with a serious look,
“Your hearts working faster then it should beautiful, relax I won’t question you, well not right here” he said in her ear quietly, making her pretty eyes widen.
It was in that very moment Aria realised that Hunter had definitely told him something and she suddenly felt very suffocated. She moved back from him and looked up into his dark eyes,
“What did he tell you?” she asked, although a part of her didn’t want to know. Adrian looked down at her,
“Who?” he asked with a hand on his chin, although he knew very well who she was talking about.
Aria looked away for a second before she looked up at him with a serious look,
“Hunter, I saw him talking to you” she said quietly. Adrian pulled her closer to him and looked down at her,
“He was concerned about your health, not hiding anything from me are you beautiful?” he asked. Aria felt her heart skip a beat as she looked up into his dark eyes,
“There is some- “she was about to say when Jenna rushed over to her and pulled her away from Adrian who didn’t look too pleased.
“Come dance with me” she said to her with a smile, not knowing that they were both in the middle of a very tense conversation.
Adrian took a step back and watched her drag Aria away, thinking he’ll talk to her later. Aria poked her eyes out at Jenna,
“Could you not see that we were having a serious conversation” she hissed. Jenna looked at her,
“That’s the reason I dragged you away, he looked scary, what was he saying?” she asked curiously, hoping it was nothing too serious. Aria looked at her with a serious look,
“Hunters told him something about me, but I don’t know what” she said quietly once she let go of her arm. Jenna listened,
“I don’t trust that guy, you should have seen the face he made earlier when you told him that you were going to come here with us” she said quickly.
Aria fixed the thin strap of her pretty dress and listened to her quietly,
“Neither do I, he is quiet strange, but I don’t know why Adrian doesn’t see that” she said before she looked towards him and felt a dull ache in her heart as she saw him talking a pretty woman who looked in her thirties.
Adrian drank some of his water and looked down at Victoria as she talked about her father’s company. She was the daughter of his dad’s best friend, and someone who he saw as a younger sister.
“I am this close to losing my mind, could you please help me out with sorting out the financial side of stuff” Victoria asked him with a small smile, hoping he agreed. Adrian listened quietly,
“I don’t have that much free time on my hands, to run your company and my own” he said with a serious look, thinking this was exactly why women shouldn’t run businesses as they clearly couldn’t handle the pressure.
Victoria took a small sip of her drink and looked up at him,
“I know but I also know you will give in to these eyes” she said as she battered her eyelids. Adrian shook his head and looked down at her, thinking she looked silly.
“I’m afraid not, you look more stupid then anything else” he said bluntly. Victoria started laughing just as Aria walked over to them both, wondering what Adrian had said that was so funny.
Adrian rested a hand on her lower back and introduced her to Victoria,
“Aria, my woman” he said quietly. Victoria smiled at Aria and gave her a nice quick hug, thinking it was clear Adrian was serious about her, if her introduced her as his woman.
“Nice to meet you, you’re gorgeous, now I totally understand why he’s smitten with you” she said about Adrian.
Aria hugged her back but didn’t smile,
“I’m sure it’s not just my face he likes” she said quietly, and from her tone of voice alone Adrian could tell she wasn’t happy. He leaned down slightly and kissed her on the side of her neck softly,
“You’re right beautiful, I love everything about you, especially the parts of you that only I get to see” he said in her ear quietly, making her whole body heat up with pleasure.
Victoria watched them both quietly as he whispered sweet nothings in her ears and made her cheeks blush,
“You guys do look very sexy together, I’ve known him for a long time, and I’ve never seen him like this with anyone else before” she explained to Aria about Adrian. Aria listened quietly, feeling a little guilty she wasn’t as bad as she was expecting her to be.
“Maybe you’re just saying that because he’s your friend” she said with a small smile. Victoria looked at her,
“I wouldn’t say we’re friends, but he is a good guy, never let go of him” she said before she drank some more of her drink.
Adrian slowly ran his hand up and down the side of Aria’s waist, thinking she looked stunning. He wondered if she had got the wrong image of Victoria before as she seemed fine now.
“I’ll take your word for it” Aria said Victoria with a small smile before she looked up at Adrian with love, thinking she didn’t want to let go of him, but for her unborn twin’s sake she might have to make that sacrifice one day.
Victoria watched them both as they looked into each other eyes, with nothing but endless love and admiration.
“This is the kind of love I would love to have one day” she thought to herself before she excused herself from them silently and let them enjoy their little moment. Adrian looked down at Aria,
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure I sensed a little jealousy from your side when you first walked over” he said to her quietly with a very small mocking smirk on the corner of his lips.
Aria rested her head on his shoulder and looked up at him, just as a nice love song started playing in the background.
“You sensed right, you’re only allowed to make me laugh not some random girl who I have never met before” she said quietly, sounding more cute then serious. Adrian looked down at her amused,
“That random girl is family and don’t worry beautiful I’m all yours” he said before he leaned down and kissed her on the lips softly, thinking he liked seeing her jealous protective side.
The rest of the party went by pretty quickly and it was almost near eleven when Adrian and Aria both took their leave hand in hand. Aria thanked his parents for everything and said her goodbyes to all his family before she followed him out of the mansion.
“Here take my jacket” Adrian said to her the moment they stepped out to the falling snow. Aria felt the cold air hit her bare arms and back,
“Thank you” she said quietly, the moment he wrapped his jacket around her shoulders and lead her to his car, hoping she didn’t get unwell as it was pretty cold.
Hunter puffed on his cigarette and watched her Aria get into Adrian’s car, thinking with each day that passed he was getting more and more closer to getting her alone. He had a plan ready, now he just needed to put it to use.
“Enjoy what may be your very last night of passion with your man” he thought to himself as he watched Adrian run his hand down her bare back teasingly and whisper something in her ear from behind.
