Chapter 39 To The Airport
"And that's all," Evelyn smiled, closing the laptop. "What do you think?" She faced him, their hands brushing a bit.
"The profits are interesting. Worth my investment," Cassian replied, checking his phone.
"I knew it." Evelyn spread out her hand in the air. "So, is that a yes?"
"I'll need time to decide that."
"It's fine," she scooted her butt forward, and picked two glasses of whiskey. "Cheers for a successful partnering."
Cassian lifted his brow. "I haven't agreed."
"Then cheers to you considering my idea." She handed him a glass.
Cassian took it from her, and they met together with a soft clink. "Cheers."
They pressed their lips to the glass cup at the same time, gulping a bit.
Evelyn's lips paused on her own as she looked at Cassian with a dirty smirk playing on her lips.
Sipping half of the wine, they dropped their glass at the same time.
"Since that is done, I'll take my leave," Cassian said.
"Wait." Evelyn grabbed his hand. "Don't go yet."
Cassian glanced between her and his hand that she was holding. "What are you doing?"
"I..." She trailed giving a slow, seductive smile. "I want you."
Cassian gave her a death stare, snatched his hand away from her before standing up.
"Do not try to ruin the partnership you are trying so hard to build."
"Partnership?" she scoffed. "They were made up stuff to get you here." She stood as well, and came to his front. Her manicured nails traced his arm to his chest. "The only partnership that will be happening is the one between you and I. Your dick buried into me."
Her eyes went to his, lust clouding in them as she ran her hand on his chest. "You have no idea how I want you. The first time we met, I fell for you, and since then I've been looking for an opportunity like this. You came to my hotel, and I knew it was my chance. Sadly, you had to have a thing with your lowly secretary."
Cassian's eyes immediately flickered to her.
She nodded. "Yes, I know. The night you walked into the hotel carrying her in your arms, I happened to see you. I thought it was because of her dress which I paid the waiter to ruin, but I saw how she was all over you. Pecking and kissing you, and you seemed to love it all. Then, I knew it was my time to strike. I can't watch you slip away from me when I know she's nowhere near to me."
Cassian held her hand, and brought it down forcefully. "You think you are anywhere compared to her? I'm only letting you off because you gave us a reception in your hotel. The next time you appear in front of me, I'll ruin everything you think you've achieved," Cassian's eyes burned with darkness as the strong will to achieve his threat hit him.
He doesn't let people like them off. He makes sure he destroys them until their tears would be used to soak their remains.
He took a step forward, his body feeling strange, when she spoke behind him.
"You think I did nothing knowing how you are, Cassian," she laughed, coming to stand in his front. "The game started a long time ago, and it's interesting that I have completed the second round. It's time for the round three."
Cassian felt a strange hotness in him, sweat appearing on his forehead. "What do you mean?"
Evelyn smirked. "You are sweating, which means the sedative is already taking its effect."
The hotness in Cassian's body grew worse, and they all rushed straight to his cock making him feel weird, and strangely turned on.
He staggered, and gripped the table to hold his balance.
"I'm going to destroy you," he seethed.
"You can." Evelyn dragged him to herself by his collar. "After tonight you'll belong to me."
She let him fall on the couch behind and stood before him with that lustful, seductive smile.
"Tonight will be special for the both of us, and everyone who chose to listen..." In slow motion she peeled her dress, revealing her underwear, letting the dress pool at her feet. "I chose the balcony especially for this."
Cassian's breathing rose as he refused to stare at Evelyn's body.
Evelyn walked to him, and knelt before him. "Don't fight it," she whispered, kissing his chest. "Tonight it's just you and I."
She straightened her body and began bringing her head close to his face for a kiss.
Before she could kiss him, his hand shot up, and grabbed her neck in a tight choking hold.
Her eyes bulged, almost popping out of their sockets as she gasped for breath.
"C... Cass..." Tears forced their way out of her eyes.
"Your biggest mistake would be trying to trick me," he growled increasing his grip on her throat.
His eyes burned with hatred, and disgust at the sight of her body.
"Cassian..." she started crying, feeling air knocking out of her lungs.
"What happened?" his gaze darkened so much as he kept increasing his grip. "Round three has just begun. Let's play," he growled in a deadly, dangerous voice, determined to choke the life out of her.
"I... I can't breathe," she cried, coughed, gasped for air as she held his hand.
Cassian stared at her dangerously before he let go of her, and stood straight remembering he had taken a pill before coming to visit her.
Whenever he has a one on one meeting with a female client, he always takes the drug. Call it trust issues, or a part of a memory he hasn't forgotten. The pill has always saved his life from people like Evelyn.
He stared down at Evelyn that's still struggling to catch her breath, as she cried.
"You are only breathing because I let—" a text came to his phone, interrupting him.
He took out his phone, to see it was a picture.
Clicking on it, his eyes darkened.
Without sparing Evelyn another glance, he left the place in cold steps.

Still carrying that smirk, he walked over to them, eyes fixed specially on Lalissa.
"Am I?" he repeated.
Lalissa returned the gaze, face filled with confusion, and something else she knew very well.
He just caught her with Alex.
"You don't have to question her like that? She doesn't have the timer to track when you'll end your meetings," Alex spoke up before Lalissa.
Cassian turned to Alex, and asked again. "Is that it?"
Lalissa needed no fortune teller to tell her that his questions were directed to her.
"It is what it seems," Alex replied, facing Lalissa.
"Why are you quiet? Speak up. He doesn't get to control your movements because he's your boss. I don't want to believe he left his meeting, and came all the way here for you," he said, throwing emphasis on the for you.
"Ehm... It's not what you think. He's my boss, and..."
"There are some places boss can't go in your life. I also manage a company, and I don't follow my employees every where they go," Alex insisted.
Lalissa stole a glance at Cassian, not knowing what to say. She could see he was smirking meaning he was enjoying her speechlessness.
Jerk.
"Mr. Reid is different from other bosses. He cares about his employees, and I... I believe he came here for me because we're in a new country. Yes... New country. It's my mistake for not informing him before leaving." And again, she just told a perfect convincing lie with little to no stuttering.
His presence has deeply affected her in ways she could never imagine.
"You think so?" Cassian asked. "I care about my employees?"
"Y... Yes," she replied, and their eyes met.
His eyes held all the words he needed to say. The warning. The possession. The disobedient. The punishment that awaits her.
"That doesn't amount coming here himself. A simple text would do. He's your boss. Once he demands your whereabouts, you'll have to tell. I really think there was no need coming here."
Cassian having had a fun watching Lalissa answer questions while trying to keep their relationship a secret, interfered.
"Boss and employees have different levels of relationship. I chose to come here myself, how is that supposed to be an issue?" His eyes locked coldly on Alex as he asked.
"Doesn't make it right," Alex defended.
Cassian turned to Lalissa. "Are you coming, or would you stay chatting with your new friend?"
Her heart skipped a beat as she noticed the difference in his tone.
"I... Yes."
"Lissa," Alex faced her. "You have barely started your shopping and you want to leave because he asked you to. He is only your boss. He can't control you the way he wants."
"No, it's fine," Lalissa laughed awkwardly. "It was fun shopping with you, but I have to leave."
Cassian had already started walking away before she could finish talking.
Lalissa gave Alex an apologetic look. "I really have to go now."
Hurrying to the cashier table, she paid for the things she bought.
By the time she got outside, Cassian was in the car waiting for her.
She took in three consecutive breaths, trying to calm her heart and nervousness before heading towards the car.
She got in with a gulp, and fastened her seatbelt.
Cassian having made sure she was settled turned to the driver. "To the airport."
Lalissa's eyes flashed to him, confusion swirling in them. "A... Airport? Why?"
"We are going back to Canada."
