CHAPTER 171
CHAPTER 171
The room is Xerxes leans over Ciel on the bed, kissing him deeply and slowly, the kind of kiss that speaks of longing and starvation. Their clothes are scattered across the room, forgotten, the sheets warm underneath, and their bodies tangled in a soft rhythm.
“I miss having you like this, Xerxes,” Ciel gasps, his back arching as Xerxes thrusts into him, his hands going to tangle in the man's hair and crawl up his back.
Xerxes breathes on his neck. “You're so tight, kitten.”
Ciel shuts his eyes as pleasure shoots through him, owning every part of him. “I love you so much, Xerxes. Please, fuck me harder.”
Xerxes dips low and captures his lips in a kiss, both of them. Completely getting lost in each other, unaware of the world around them, it's like they are the only thing that exists until a small, soft voice shatters the glass.
“...Dada?”
Both men freeze.
Ciel’s eyes widen. “Did you hear that?”
Xerxes immediately snaps his head over to the door, and instantly he pulls away from Ciel and bolts off, covering himself and Ciel with the sheets, their eyes wide as they stare at the toddler who crawled into the room with wide, innocent eyes.
“...Dada,” the toddler says again, looking at both of them.
Ciel gasps and laughs, covering his face with his hand, while Xerxes gets out of bed and finds his pants. Slipping them on, he walks over and scoops him up.
“What was that, little man?”
“I can't believe he's talking; it's his first word, oh my God!” Ciel also gets out of him, slips on the first shirt he finds, rushes out of the room, and returns a few seconds later with the other twin.
Xerxes laughs. “Well. Bad timing, though, little man.”
Ciel giggles as they make their way back to the bed, setting the twins down.
“Come on, Rune, say it again,” Ciel urges, grinning widely as he waits to hear the word again.
“Dada!”
Ciel claps wildly, immediately kissing his face all over and making sure to give the other one the same treatment. “This is the cutest thing ever, Xerxes!” He squeals.
Xerxes chuckles at the sight. He grabs Ciel's face and pulls him into a deep kiss and pulls away seconds later with Ciel's face flushed. “I love you,”
Ciel goes brighter than a tomato and shyly tucks a strand of hair behind his ear, then playfully hits him on the shoulder. “Not in front of the kids, Xerxes.”
“They will have to get used to it.”
Ciel beams, then he grabs Xerxes' face and pulls in for a deeper kiss. “I love you, too, Xerxes.”
The twins squeal in delight while Xerxes and Ciel chuckle.
They are happy, whole, and together. Ciel doesn't know how he got this far, but they did it. Maybe they will keep smiling, but life is all cruel and always has a way of reminding people that peace never truly lasts. Storms always wait behind every sunrise, but tonight, the stars stay a little longer, and as they lie in bed with the kids between them, Ciel hopes this moment will last forever.
They began in chaos. They survived the war. And they ended in each other’s arms. Everything is worth it.
The End.
