Chapter 41 — Saved From Hell
Hailey POV:
“John?” I asked, my voice quite shattered.
“You recognize me, Hailey.” His voice was demanding with a hint of happiness.
I closed my eyes. Why was this all happening?
The light in the room suddenly turned on and I opened my eyes. He looked just like Robert, but he was a completely different person.
“Hello, Hailey.” He smirked at me. I diverted my gaze to the room.
Now that I could see, I saw it was a bedroom. It was a big spacious one. The walls are colored brightly, and the dark atmosphere suddenly turned into something different. But in my heart, I was tense as ever. The beautiful carving on the wall didn’t make me any happier.
“Like the room?”
I looked at him and rage filled me as I remembered how he fooled me. However, I should have been careful, but he thought he was so smart, didn’t he?
“What do you want?” I asked after I calmed my anger. I knew anger didn’t work on people like him.
“Well.” He walked towards me and then behind me. He freed my hands. “I don’t want to keep you like this.”
I didn’t say anything while he freed my legs too. Then I quickly got up and went to the door. As expected, it was locked. I sighed in frustration and looked at him.
“Let me go.”
“Well, Hailey, you are smart. You should know we don’t kidnap people to let them go for free.”
I smiled. “So, you need money? How much?”
“Well, the price I want can’t be paid with money.”
“What do you want!?” I asked, completely irritated.
He smirked and walked towards me. “You know, I liked you.”
“What?”
“I liked you, but Robert married you.” He kept moving towards me, so I backed away from him. “Today I am here to take what I deserve.”
“You deserve hell,” I whispered.
“Well, I’ll get heaven.”
I couldn’t react when he suddenly grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him. He looked at my terrified face and smirked. “It is our time, baby.”
I looked at him scared.
“L-let go!”
“Not this time,” he whispered and threw me on the bed. I got up and went back, but he pulled me again.
“You are so stubborn!”
“John, let me go!”
“No.” He smirked, but as he was about to touch me, his phone rang. He saw the name and put the phone down.
“No one can stop me today.” He took my face in his hands. “Do you understand?”
“I…John, why—”
“I love it when you say my name.” He leaned down to place a kiss on my neck.
I was completely scared. I wanted Robert to come and save me again.
“Shhh, babe,” he whispered and kissed me on my neck again, slowly biting it. I yelled at him, and his phone rang again. He simply ignored it.
Then he looked at my body perversely.
“Oh Hailey,” he whispered in my ear. “He must not have cherished you so much. I will.”
I tried my best to get away from him, but I couldn’t do anything. I even yelled at full volume, but it looked like we were either in an isolated place or the doors were soundproof.
As he was about to touch me more, his phone rang again. This time, he picked it up, frustrated.
“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG—”
He stopped, and after a second, he quickly got off me.
“What the…I am coming!” he yelled into the phone and quickly made sure he was looking fine. Then he opened the door and ran away.
I laid on the bed breathing heavily. I started crying. I can’t imagine what could have happened if that call didn’t come. How weak am I?
I didn’t waste time. What if he returned? I quickly got up too and gave myself a look and then went out.
The place was indeed isolated. As I got out, I noticed that it was just an old house surrounded by a forest. I should quickly find a way to reach home now.
