CHAPTER TEN

Amanda sighed softly as she glanced at Kayden again. The latter had, had his head on his locker ever since the moment she stepped into the class. His band mates weren’t in the class and the class was super noisy. Not even once had he raised his head upwards. She sighed again as she turned to Drew who shook his head at her.

“See, I feel like he knows I’m here so he won’t raise his head” Amanda said as Drew chuckled.

“Who are you to think that he would be doing back because of you?” Drew asked as Amanda swallowed her saliva.

“Shut up and listen to me” Amanda said as Drew glared at her.

“You are an asshole” he said as Amanda nodded.

“But you are stuck with this asshole for the rest of your life” Amanda replied as Drew shook his head.

“Right now; I feel like you are a bigger asshole” Drew said as Amanda grinned at him as Drew gnashed his teeth wishing he could swat her across the face but it was just playful feeling but no matter how much she annoyed or irritated him; he dared not, he couldn’t. the live he lived was now all thanks to her brother. Since he had promised to protect her, he would.

“So how are you going to apologize?” Drew asked as Amanda hitched closer to him.

“This is on you” Amanda replied as Drew furrowed his brows.

“Why am I apologizing in your place?” drew asked as Amanda’s mouth formed a pout.

“You can’t apologize in my stead?” She asked as Drew shook his head.

“I’m not going to” Drew replied as Amanda pinched him while Drew winced.

“All you are doing is making sure you get him to the rooftop later so I can apologize” Amanda said as she rolled her eyes.

“How can I let you apologize for me?” she asked as she scoffed.

“You suck at apologies anyways” she said as Drew turned to glare at her.

“There’s no bigger asshole than you” Drew said as Amanda nodded as she hitched closer to Drew.

“So here’s the plan” she said as she lowered her voice as she started whispering to Drew.

This as the exact scene Kayden saw when he finally opened his eyes and raised his head. He glanced at the class and his eyes came to a rest on a familiar girl and another good looking but unfamiliar guy. Their heads were almost pressed together and whatever they were saying had so engrossed that they didn’t even realize he was already staring daggers at them.

Reluctantly, he pulled his eyes away from the duo as the irritation that he had been trying to hold washed all over him in waves as a big frown creased all around his face as he opened his phone and tucked in his ear pods as he started playing music. Another glance at the duo with their head still pressed together made him stand up from his seat and walk out of the class.

“He’s gone” Drew said as soon as Amanda finished talking. The latter turned to see that Kayden was indeed no longer on his seat. She looked around as she sighed.

“Where did he go just now?” she asked no one in particular as Drew shrugged his shoulders.

“I’m going to look for him” Amanda said as she rose to her feet but the teacher entered as soon as she stood up and Amanda snarled at the teacher who wasn’t even looking at her in the first place as she sat down while Drew tried to stifle the laughter at the edge of his lips.

“Don’t you even dare to laugh” Amanda said as Drew bent down, buried his head in his bosom and burst into quiet laugh while Amanda stared at him unbelievably. The other students began to stroll into the class and Amanda immediately sat down well and tried to meet Kayden’s eyes as soon as he walked into the class but not just didn’t he look at her; he wore a frown that told Amanda that she wouldn’t like it if he looked at her with that kind of look. She swallowed her saliva as she kicked Drew.

“Don’t you dare forget everything we’ve planned” Amanda whispered as Drew nodded as he wore a straight face.

The teacher nodded as soon as all the students in the class had sat down. Laura winked at Amanda and the latter nodded without even glancing at her as she turned to face the teacher again. She turned to look at Kayden again and he still had that frown on his face and she watched as Elon spoke to him as if trying to get off the frown off his face but the latter wasn’t even bugling at all. She swallowed her saliva as she tried to listen to what the teacher was saying.

“So you have paired with each other and you are expected to submit the assignment in two weeks. Take your time and be careful” the teacher said as he walked towards the class noticeboard and pasted the white sheets on the board.

“After I leave the class, you can check for your partners, meet up and decide what theme to use and what plans to carry out. Good luck” he said as he walked out of the class.

Drew turned to Amanda as he nudged towards the board “Let me check if we were paired together again” Drew said as he stood up and walked towards the board. His eyes ran swiftly over the board as he raised his eyebrows and chuckled.

“I got paired with Elon?” Drew asked no one in particular as he heard a voice that seemed to be tickling his ears.

“You are Drew?” someone asked as Drew turned to see Elon standing in front of him with a small smile. He swallowed his saliva as he nodded.

“Yes” Drew replied.

“Give me a minute please” he said as he walked towards Amanda. He wasn’t a fan of the boys but he had come across their videos and pictures and he had to admit that their pictures and videos although edited under placed them. They were thrice as handsome and sexy in person than in their videos.

“Seems like we won’t be needing your plan” Drew said as he slid his hands into his pockets.

“Why?” Amanda asked as Drew chuckled.

“I guess God likes you” Drew replied as he laughed again.

“Kayden is your partner” Drew replied as Amanda’s eyes widened.

“Are you serious?” Amanda asked as Drew nodded.

“I somehow got paired with Elon, Cameron and Ryan got paired together” Drew replied as Amanda chuckled as she turned towards Kayden who at the same time also turned to her before he stood up and walked out of the class.

“Your plan was crappy anyways” Drew added as Amanda glared at him before running after Kayden.

“I thought they were friends” Cameron said as Ryan shrugged.

“They indeed looked close when she came to drag him away yesterday so what happened?” Elon asked as Ryan chuckled.

“You know Kayden won’t say a word” Ryan replied as Drew gave the boys a small smile as he turned to Elon.

“Let’s talk” he said as Elon stood up.

“You are close to Amanda? I saw the both of you in class” Ryan asked as Drew turned to him nodding slightly.

“Yes why?” Drew asked as Ryan chuckled.

“What’s your relationship?” Ryan asked as Drew furrowed his brows.

“I don’t know why you are curious about that” Drew said as he slipped his hands into his pockets.

“She’s more like my sister. What about it? You like her?” Drew asked as Ryan burst into laughter.

“You are so straight forward” Ryan replied as Drew shrugged.

“It’s makes me avoid complications and makes a lot of things easier” Drew said as Ryan nodded.

“You have a point though” he said as Elon suddenly threw his hands over Drew’s neck.

“Don’t mind Ryan. He’s just been nosy. Let’s go” Elon said as Drew chuckled as he glanced at the arm Elon had thrown around him and opened his mouth to talk but on the second thought didn’t bother saying anything.

Amanda closed the door behind her as she turned to face Kayden who was leaning on the railings. She just knew that he would be here. He still had a frown on his face and Amanda couldn’t help but swallow her saliva. Kayden was dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a black and white sneaker. He had worn a round neck and a shiur ton it not bothering to button up the shirt at all. The necklace eon his neck shimmered in the sun and the face cap that covered his entire pile of hair only leaving a few strands of hair made him sexy. There was only one thought in Amanda’s mind.

How come she didn’t notice him before?
