Can't remember anything

ADRIAN'S POV.

I haven't heard anything from the police. I was there most of the night making a statement. I told them everything that was needed but they didn't manage to give an update on Alexa. My phone through out the night was going crazy from Justin and Ms Bethany calling. I ignored both of them . Enough was enough . I didn't want to talk about work .

With Alexa on my mind , I didn't sleep . Everytime l closed my eyes , l could only see her down on , lying unconscious on the floor . This was perhaps my fault . When I called at the hospital they didn't give me any information. I wanted to go and see her myself but the thought of her hating me kept me from going .The only thing I did throughout the night was to nurse the bottle of wine in my hand as I recalled her body .

The door soon enough banged open and I knew straight away who it was. " What the hell are you playing at man?, I have been calling you since yesterday but you didn't answer me , you have got a phone man pick it up asshole", His outburst made me turn my attention to the door and it was no one else but Justin . " Mr Thompson has been abusing us , asking us why you haven't given him the right information but look here you are seated ", He continued as his made his way to me .

Hearing him yell again , l only shook my head and turned my attention to the bottle . I had no time to shout with him . The company issues were serious and everyone was stressed . Noticing my silence , he lastly sat next to me . With the way he looked at me , I could tell that he was worried about me.

" What happened Adrian. ", His brown eyes bore into mime . At his question , l cleared my throat ready to tell him . I knew it that I don't tell him , he won't leave . Without hesitating , l began to tell him everything that has gone off between me and Alexa . The way l was stressed about work and got her nearly raped . Luckily l got her in time but still it was useless .

" Fuck is she okay?, Mark hasn't said anything, he has been at work all morning but then am not surprised he doesn't give a fuck about her",Justin was shocked at the revelation. Hearing him mention Mark's name made me to clench my fists in anger. I demoted him but it wasn't even enough .

Alexa was in the hospital with him pretending to work hard . The thought of Alexa not having anyone around her made my chest to ache in pain. Even her friend might have left . " You love her , don't you ?", Justin's question made me turn my attention to him . I was kinda surprised to hear him ask me that so l didn't respond sooner.

" I have never seen you Iike any woman like this", He continued in a low voice . " The company is declining", l tried to change the subject. " You know what happened between me and Michelle , l kept pushing her away , l tried to fight it but in the end l knew she was worth every single stress , l know it's different to you , she is married... ", He murmured and paused .

" But she feels something for you Adrian , otherwise she wouldn't be fucking you , she is broken Adrian , I knew it when l first met her at the hospital all those years ago and I saw it even now ", As a talkative person ,he went on with talking as l listened . " Don't let that fucker Mark stand in your way ", This time he removed the bottle of wine from me and took a sip of my whisky.

" All I'm saying is that don't let Mark win , yes he is married to her but you have seen the way he treats her and at the end of the day Adrian you have a heart go and see her , she is yours ", He continued to talk but this time I wasn't pissed off at him . Justin has never spoken to me like that . He was always against me , advising me to stay away from the married woman . I was now happy that he could see how much l loved her .

I now wanted Alexa to see what l mean . I can't hold back anymore .l was now ready to go and fight for her . I know it's not just her , her kids are involved and l will fight for all . Everything l said about leaving her was useless . How could I forget her when she is all l think about .

ALEXA'S POV .

My head hurts . I felt so hungover . " What the hell did l drink ? I slowly opened my eyes then shockingly saw that am not in my bed . Panicking ,l looked around . " What the hell happened ", l inwardly asked myself when my eyes fall on Bella . She was asleep on the chair still in her clothes she wore yesterday . " Bella ", l tried to call her but my voice was dry . I needed a glass of water .

As soon as she heard him , she jumped up so fast that her chair fall backwards . " Oh my God. , You okay ? How do you feel?", She asked startled . "What the hell were you thinking about to walk outside on your own? , You scared the shit out of me ", l shook my head when I heard her say that . I wasn't remembering anything .

The only thing l did recall was seeing Adrian with a blonde haired lady and the memory of it made my heart to ache in pain. " I don't recall what happened , l don't know why l even drank that much ", l lastly groaned after pushing the memory of the blonde haired lady at the back of my head .

At my response , Bella's face instantly dropped and tears formed in her eyes. That only showed that whatever happened wasn't good . " Bella what is it ?", I asked . " Am going to go get the doctor , l will be back in a minute ",she ignored my question and walked out. With her gone , I tried to think back but every time l did my head hurt.

I only had one thing in my mind " Adrian and the blonde haired lady"
