CHAPTER 28: Hatred lie

From where Diana was standing by the rail of the stairs, she could see Audrey smiling passionately at Elvis and her heart stung with jealousy. They seemed to be in a serious discussion that diana wondered what it could be about. However, it could be clearly seen that Elvis is smitten by the lady. She had charmed him with her beauty and meekness. If one did not know better, you would think that Elvis is her mate, but Diana knew better.

Elvis was only being friendly toward her because of the mistreatments she got from Melvin. Diana knew Elvis is too cold to harbor a soft spot in his heart for Audrey. Likewise Audrey, she wouldn't want to shame herself before the whole clan by loving her mate's twin.

Now that Diana was thinking about it. She came to realize how benefitting it would be if she could make him love Audrey. At least, she would have a chance with Melvin if Elvis and Audrey were to be together

She was well aware that it could make her mate dislike her but Diana cares not. As far as she could get closer to the one her heart desired.

"Do you think you would always have that Smile on your face? I told you I would make you cry and I promise to do it, just wait for my wicked skill, Audrey!!"

The moment Diana saw Audrey walk away from Elvis, she gave a sigh of relief. Now, it only remained for her to find a way to get closer to him. Afterall, he was not so kind and warm hearted to her. He was always glowering at her at every of their encounter. She couldn't just wait to dispose of Audrey to him.

She saw Elvis walk into the lonely corridor and her lips twitched with a smile. The passage was silent and void of people, exactly what she needed and wanted. She kept a silent and balance steps with him as she trailed behind him. She knew he was already aware of her presence. Yes, he was that smart and sensitive, no matter how quiet she might try to be. Despite it all, she couldn't stop herself from flinching away when he suddenly turned to her, his bright and intent gaze creeping into her soul and his sharp claws drawn out and ready to scratch and peel off her skin.

"It is me" she said with fear but it did not stop him from glaring so maliciously at her.

She took a deep breath, trying to gather some courage.

"Why are you hiding behind bars? Are you here to kill me? Lady Diana" Elvis cursed

"I have something to tell you" she said, expecting a change of demeanor but the man hardly moved, his gaze as fierce and angry as ever.

"I don't think I need any piece of information from you" he said to her in that same icy tone he has ever used with her, but it doesn't matter, she would just keep up with him for the meantime.

"I can bet it will stir up an emotion from your dead heart" she pressed on and in a blink of an eye, he was already before her, her neck in his grasp.

"Spill it out" he growled as he gave her neck a tighter squeeze and water gushed out from her eyes as she struggled to be free from him.

"Audrey has been keeping a strong feeling of passion for you, you are the mate she wants" she forced the words out of her mouth and she could feel it as his hands lessened around her neck and for the first time, she saw an emotion shone in his eyes, shock. However, it was gone as quickly as it had come.

"I don't get you, what do you mean?" Elvis asked

"I overheard Audrey and Kiara talking about it, they didn't notice my presence but I heard every single word they said. Audrey loves you not Melvin, she stopped loving Melvin when you became soft to her'' Diana lied. Elvis clenched his fist.

"I don't think so, she loves Melvin and I know about it" He could remember vividly when he had told her to kill Melvin, she didn't agree. But her answers were because she wasn't as heartless as an Alpha. But now she is an Alpha and she must want to be together with him because she was rejected by Melvin.

"Don't you see the way she looks at you? She has always been supportive of you the same way you are to her. When Melvin always makes her angry when she comes to you, what does that mean? She loves you and nothing all"

"Does she think I love her?" Elvis thought. All he wanted was to use her for his wicked scheme. But he doesn't need her anymore, she is now an alpha and would not do anything like that. Now all he has to do is cut all ties with her

"I'm sure you are not trying to break her heart, she loves you and I know you love her back, you are not like Melvin that was why she chose you" Diana added. Elvis looked at her.

"I don't remember having any business with you, you aren't allowed to get close to me just because you gave me an information, I would act on my will" Elvis replied

"You can go"

Diana looked at Elvis for the last time, before leaving him. She smirked as she walked away, now she had done what she has always wanted, to make Audrey cry. If Elvis likes Audrey it's a win for her, and if Elvis rejected Audrey it's also a win for her.

Elvis kept staring at her until she was out of sight.

"I have to sought this out before it gets out of hands, I'm really sorry Audrey but I would have to reject you just like my brother did, he has his own reasons and I have mine"
