Chapter Seventeen
Serena's Pov
Soon, we got back to the hotel room and we both sat on the bed to talk about our experiences while having fun.
“You look like someone who hasn't really been in many relationships? I mean, that is before you met your fiancé. "Am I right?” Eunice asked me, then folded her legs to get more comfortable on the bed.
“Uhm… Yeah, you're right. I guess it's so obvious,” I said with a slight smile on my face.
“Well, it depends on the person looking at you. "As for me, I can just tell due to the little time we've spent together,” Eunice replied and tucked her hair behind her ear.
I chuckled shyly and cleared my throat to get a hold of myself. The topic was a little sensitive for me, since it only reminded me of times when I was hurt a lot from the way Killian prisoned me as his housewife, and I still didn't get the right treatment from him.
I never really got to date anyone else because I only had eyes for him.
“What about you? "You seem like you've been in relationships.” I spoke, directing the topic from talking about me to talking about her.
“Hmm. You're correct. I've been in a lot of relationships and they were all sweet people. One had these pretty eyes that calmed me down whenever I was mad and the other used perfume that smelled like flowers. "Until now, I always remembered him whenever I perceived that particular flower-scented perfume that was used in the course of our relationship,” Eunice said, and twitched her lips.
I was quite surprised that she didn't take too long before she could open up to me about her past relationships. I guess she really feels like she could trust me, and that's a good point for me.
“So, who broke up?” I asked inquisitively.
“That was me. I found it difficult to trust. It felt like I was being cheated on sometimes, so I had to call it quits. As for a particular one, I had a memorable time with him.
Eunice told me all about her relationships and there was one thing I noticed was common with their descriptions. They all seemed to be feminine. I guess she likes feminine men. That wasn't bad either. But then, she seemed to show interest in Adrien the first day we met and Adrien is definitely a manly man.
Probably seeing Adrien made her change her taste or something. So, I decided to ask her.
“What do you think of Adrien?” I asked her in a straightforward manner.
“Ugh! Adrien? No. Absolutely not. I don't think anything about him, especially if you're talking about feelings. "Come on, how could I?” Eunice said and waved it off.
I chuckled and covered my mouth in a modest manner.
“I'm sorry, I just had to ask.” I chuckled, and it turned to laughter, but I immediately stopped it from going far.
“It's fine. You know what? I think I like our conversation, and it's been really nice, so how about I show you my hotel room? "In case there's something you want to talk about next time, you'll be able to reach me easily,” Eunice suggested.
My eyes widened in surprise as I never really expected her to draw me closer as much as this in this friendship, but since she was okay with it, it wasn't bad either.
“Alright then.”
We both exited my room and headed to hers, which was a floor higher than hers.
As I stepped in, I was struck by awe due to how nice her room really looked. It was top-notch. The decorations were all beautiful.
My eyes fell on the nice and big comfy bed and my eyes drifted to the nice dresser, pretty lamps and even the room smelled really nice like roses.
“Wow. "This place is really nice,” I complimented as I looked around with a smile on my face.
“Thanks. You can have your seat.”
I had my seat and fiddled with my fingers as I was no longer in my space, so I felt a bit more reserved.
“Yeah! So, do you know what's funny? "My brother, Simon, prefers dominant and fierce partners when it comes to romance,” Eunice revealed to me.
I didn't know why she was so confident in revealing all these to me, but it was nice to know that I was trusted.
“Cool. So you both have different preferences when it comes to choosing partners.”
“Yes, we do. Despite how close we are and how much we relate, we turn out to have different preferences when it comes to choosing partners. "I laugh about it sometimes.” Eunice giggled and I chuckled.
“Well, sometimes it happens. It's not weird.”
“I know, right? So, enough about me. "What about you? "What's your preference?” Eunice asked me and I blushed.
Hmm. My preference in a man.
“I’m simple when it comes to that. But the kind of man I like is a man who is strong, independent, resilient and would do anything to ensure that things are okay for him and those he loves. A man who is tall, has a nice physique, loves things related to fashion, kind-hearted, knows how to apologize and make his woman feel loved and protected.”
“Wow. "Your list is really long,” Eunice exclaimed and laughed.
I blushed and continued fiddling with my fingers.
“Anyway, I'm starving again. "I'd love to get pizza. "Want some?” She offered as she rose to her feet.
“Yes.”
“Alright then. Wait here. "I'll go get the pizza.” Eunice urged me and exited the room.
I looked around, taking in more of the beauty of the room. It was exquisite and exclusive. I bet it took a lot of money to get this room. Money doesn't seem to be a problem for them anyway.
I rose to my feet and began to look around, since leaving me here would only mean I was going to be facing boredom until she comes back.
Things seemed to look interesting here, so I decided to look around. My eyes drifted from paintings to other things until I saw a particular drawer that was left open.
I decided to help her close it, but instead I saw Adrien's photos; a lot of them.
What the hell does this mean?
