Chapter 29 leave it to her
Lucifer’s P.O.V.
“What did you say?” I yelled in shock, looking at Theo as if he just threw something very disgusting on my face.
“I am telling you what she said to me, Lucifer,” he replied to me while gritting his teeth.
He was angrier than me, but I was more confused.
“There is no way that she could be pregnant with my pup, Theo. I would have sensed it when I saw her yesterday.” I refused bluntly, fuming in rage, ready to go to the dungeons and kill that st.
“Don’t you dare go there?” Theo threatened me when I was about to move towards the exit.
We were in my personal gym for our early morning exercise.
It was our routine for years.
Theo and I had our personal gym in the pack house. We do morning and evening exercises here before going to the training ground.
Last night was a disaster, and I had a hard time making Anaya sleep well.
I was already sleep-deprived, and this blast blew up my mind completely.
“What do you want me to do, then? Wait and let her give birth to that btard.” I roared at the top of my lungs, Beast snarling aloud at the back of my mind, ready to take over the control at any time and kill that btch.
“You forgot that now you are not single. You have a mate now,” he roared back, startling me in the process.
Beast whimpered at the back of my mind at the same time.
I slumped my shoulders but snarled lowly.
“She is not going to get away with this stunt of hers,” I remarked in a determined voice.
He sneered and went back to punching the sandbag.
“Let’s go to the dungeons and finish that favorite toy of yours. I told you so many times that that she-wolf is nothing but trouble, but you never listened to me.
I didn’t want to argue with him.
So, I did the same thing that Theo did.
I went back to my punching bag and started hitting it harder than earlier.
For some unknown reason, the scar on my face started hurting a bit.
I grimaced in pain but didn’t stop hitting the bag.
“She also tried to hurt Evan.” I stopped hitting the bag, and my blood went cold for a few seconds.
I slowly moved in his direction, holding the bag tightly.
“I also learned last night. We….. we were so busy with other stuff that I didn’t pay attention to my family, and they suffered. The investigation is still going on, but so far, what we learned portrayed Bethany as the biggest bully in the pack.” He continued with a grim expression.
“Let me kill her,” Beast growled, but I blocked him.
“Take this to Anaya. As the Luna of this pack, this comes under her authority.” I instructed him coldly after a short pause of a few seconds.
“And after what happened between Anaya and Bethany last night, do you think that Anaya will take this decision of yours not as a provocation?” he asked me sarcastically, and I smirked coldly.
“This is not only for Bethany but for all those she-wolves who still have this illusion that they could be my Luna,” I replied to him and then took a deep breath.
“Let’s go. It’s time for the training.” I said to him while walking towards the benches to take my towel and water bottle.
I was about to take my towel from the bench when I felt a pressure at the back of my mind.
I opened the mind-link and heard Willow’s voice.
“Anaya has woken up.”
“Ask her if she wants to exercise. If yes, then bring her to the gym. We are leaving for the training ground.” I instructed her calmly.
I took the water bottle and took a big gulp.
I was still trying to suppress my urge to go and kill Bethany.
Evan wasn’t just Theo’s son.
He was my salvation.
That pup keeps me calm in a very critical condition or whenever my condition flares.
One word from his mouth, and both Beast and I felt at ease.
That’s why I declared him as my heir, and he was still my heir.
How dare Bethany hurt someone precious to me?
“I don’t think that she should exercise in her present health condition.” She suggested in a concerned voice.
“Let her decide that, Willow. She is not a prisoner here. With everything that happened in the past few days, giving her some space and some alone time out of the bedroom will be good for her.” I replied to her calmly.
“Okay, as you wish.” She replied in resignation before cutting off the mind link.
My god-sister didn’t even wait for me to say a word.
“I still think that you should handle Bethany,” Theo mumbled, and I furrowed my brows.
“She said that she is pregnant, bro. Anaya is already going through so much, and now if she learns that her mate has impregnated another she-wolf, how devastated she will be?” he argued.
I knew he was right, but I wanted to see how Anaya handles this situation.
“This is also a test for her to prove her intelligence, Theo,” I replied to him, and he scoffed aloud, looking at me with contempt.
“She has already proved her intelligence. The way she handled our situation in her pack, she already showed that she is the best Luna that our pack can have.”
I really don’t know why Theo was so protective of Anaya, but his argument made me both happy and jealous.
“Let her handle this, Theo,” I stressed my decision this time.
Theo wanted to argue further, but he closed his mouth and moved to the other side.
After taking a few more gulps of water, I closed the bottle and then wrapped the towel around my neck while going out.
"Is Derek already in the training ground?" I asked him while going towards the staircase outside the gym.
"No. He just went to sleep. In your absence, he has a lot of business work to handle." Theo answered, annoying me with his sarcasm.
"Right. That highway project." I mumbled when I remembered that I had an important project to discuss with my team.
We had businesses in both the werewolf and human worlds.
"Not only that, but also the bid for the Southbay township project is also in two weeks." Theo reminded me, and I groaned.
"So much work? When will I spend time with Anaya, then?" I grumbled, and he looked at me as if I had grown up two heads at that very instant.
I didn't pay attention to him and took my phone out of my trouser pocket to check the latest news.
"One more thing," Theo spoke again, and I just hummed in response, going through the business news.
"We received an invitation for the annual alpha gala from the royal pack." I glanced at him coldly when he finished speaking.
