Chapter 223 A Vagina Bigger Than A Whole Pack
Chapter 223 A Vagina Bigger Than A Whole Pack
I nodded, fighting the bile rising in my throat as Noah's ego swelled. His grip on my hand tightened, and I could see the hunger in his eyes.
"You know what I love most?" Noah's voice dropped to a whisper as he pulled me closer to his chest. "I love seeing she-wolves desperate. It makes me feel so... powerful."
My skin crawled, but I forced myself to stay calm. This was exactly what I needed—him to reveal his true nature.
"What about Mallory?" I asked softly, letting him think I was jealous.
Noah laughed, the sound cold and calculating. "Mallory? She's just a transaction, sweetheart. I don't give a damn about her or those Blackwood brothers I supposedly care about." His hands moved to my waist, squeezing possessively. "My only goal is to steal everything they have."
Jesus Christ, he's actually admitting it.
"But the engagement—"
"Is all about getting her father's shares," Noah interrupted, his breath hot against my ear. "And keeping my father happy. Lord Blackwood needs to see me as the perfect son-in-law material."
I pulled back slightly, meeting his eyes. "You don't love her at all?"
Noah's grin turned predatory. "Love? Please. The engagement is pure business. As for Mallory..." He paused, his expression twisting with disgust. "My mother complains to her friends about this whole arrangement. And honestly? Mallory's been with so many guys, I swear she could accommodate an entire pack down there—"
His words were cut off by violent pounding on the door.
Noah's face went white. "What the hell?"
"Noah!" Victoria's voice shrieked from the hallway. "Open this door right now!"
The door exploded inward as Ethan's shoulder slammed into it, splintering the frame. His eyes blazed with mixed colors—human brown swirled with wolf gold—as he launched himself at Noah.
I stumbled backward as Noah hit the floor, Ethan's fist connecting with his jaw. Through the doorway, I could see a crowd gathering in the hallway, guests murmuring in shock.
Lord Blackwood burst into the room, his face thunderous. The first thing he did was lunge for the sound equipment on the table, frantically shutting off what I now realized was a live microphone that had been broadcasting Noah's confession to the entire party.
"What in God's name is going on here?" Lord Blackwood gasped, staring at the chaos.
Alexander appeared behind him, grabbing Ethan by the shoulders and hauling him off Noah. "Ethan, enough!"
Oh shit. Noah had no idea he was being set up. His words just went out over the speakers to every single guest downstairs.
Victoria tried to approach Lord Blackwood, her face pale with panic. "Richard, please, let me explain—"
He held up a hand, stopping her in her tracks. "I need a moment, Victoria. Just... give me a moment."
Noah struggled to his feet, blood trickling from his split lip. "I don't understand..." Then reality crashed over him like a tidal wave. His eyes widened in horror as he realized what had happened. The shock on his face was almost comical if it weren't so devastating for Lord Blackwood, who looked like he'd been slapped across the face.
"We need to get downstairs," Victoria said urgently. "The guests are waiting."
Lord Blackwood's shoulders sagged. "I don't even know how to face them anymore."
Before anyone could respond, Noah lunged toward me, his face twisted with rage. "She planned this whole thing!"
Ethan moved like lightning, catching Noah's shirt collar and slamming him against the wall. This time, Noah didn't fight back much—he knew he was screwed.
Footsteps echoed in the hallway, and Mr. Vance appeared in the doorway with Mallory beside him. Her father looked uncomfortable, his jaw tight with disapproval.
"Well," Mr. Vance said grimly, "this is unfortunate. Such a shame this event turned into such a mess."
Noah's eyes latched onto Mallory desperately. "Baby! Don't believe anything she made me say!"
Mallory tilted her head, her expression almost pitying. "She made you say those things? Does that mean she threatened you somehow?"
Noah nodded eagerly, grasping at the lifeline she'd thrown him.
Mr. Vance's face darkened. "Are you serious, Mallory? Don't give him excuses to make a fool of you."
"But Dad—"
"No." Mr. Vance's voice was firm. "I heard every disgusting word that came out of his mouth. I've met Dominic several times, and he's a genuine, decent man. I will not let my daughter become Luna Queen to someone who won't even respect her."
Mallory's eyes filled with tears. "Daddy, please. Once he marries me, I can make him love me."
Mr. Vance stepped closer to his daughter, his expression softening but his resolve unwavering. "Listen to me, sweetheart. That boy just admitted he's only marrying you for money and political gain. He's not some god you need to please. Go find an Omega if you want, but make sure he respects you."
He turned to Lord Blackwood, his tone respectful but final. "I'm sorry, Lord Blackwood, but I will never marry my daughter to someone like this. If any of your other sons would have her, I'd be honored to unite our families. But not this one."
With that, he guided a sobbing Mallory out of the room.
I bit the inside of my cheek to keep from smiling. Holy shit, it actually worked.
Lord Blackwood stood in the aftermath, his face a mask of disappointment and shame. He looked at Noah without meeting his eyes directly.
"Do you understand what you've done today?" His voice was quiet, deadly. "You've not only shown disrespect for women and hatred for your brothers, but you've also revealed all those lies your mother and her friends spread about me."
Lord Blackwood swallowed hard, looking away. I could tell he was lying about the gossip being untrue—my mother had complained about the same things Victoria apparently discussed with her friends.
Good. I'm glad to see this terrible man exposed for what he really is.
"After everything you've done today, I'm starting to think—God, I wish I hadn't—" Lord Blackwood's voice broke, and he left the room without finishing his sentence.
