Lair Lair Frederick
Kristen watched him stop and turn to face her, she had her eyes fixed on him, not wanting to miss any emotions at all.
The silence was deafening that a drop of a pin can be hard. A moment passed, another did and Kristen couldn't take the silence anymore plus the way he was staring at her like he was caught stealing what is his but who steals what they owe? "I don't know why you're watching me like that."She said and continued, "you looked uncomfortable and I wondered why you still don't want to tell me how you know my bedroom." She added with an annoyed tone "so spill, now."
He sighed heavily and put his hands in his pockets. Kristen could see he didn't want to do this, she had this feeling he wanted to avoid it just as much as she wanted to know.
Kristen took a step forward and demanded "now!"
How in the world will he tell her all that he knows, he can't say anything concerning both of them. Not only will it traumatize her, but it could also endanger her and the lost memories will be gone forever. Anything stressful isn't good for her.
"Nothing, I don't know. I was assuming that it would be this way." He said nervously and there Kristen caught him lying. She didn't know how she could tell he was lying but she knew he was lying to her.
"You are lying, I know this," she bluntly said and raised her brows so he could understand that she was waiting for him to answer her question.
Frederick didn't know what to tell her, he needed to come up with a truth so fast then he remembered her neighbor.
"You were once sick and I happened to be around, your neighbor brought me along to come to see how you were doing."
Another lie!
"My neighbor hasn't checked up on me for close to a year we both have been living here so you lied again.
Frederick groaned inside and scratched his head in frustration. He wouldn't tell her the truth yet he would have to come up with a truthful lie or convince her that what he told her was the truth.
Kristen gave Frederick a suspicious look when he did not say anything for the next few seconds.
"Are you going to tell me the truth or will you continue lying?" She asked while crossing her arms and raising one eyebrow "I won't hesitate from hitting you if you lie to me again." She threatened him. She didn't know why she was desperately wanting to hear they had done some adult thing in her bedroom before.
There was a long pause before he sighed and smiled, " you wouldn't know what Noami had become until you remember. I just told you the truth, I happened to be around the day you were sick, and Noami and I took care of you together, don't you remember?" He said with a hopeful expression on his face, he wasn't sure what else to say, there was nothing more to say. His smile widened when Kristen's expression didn't change.
"oh come on, what exactly do you want to hear, that I have been here without your neighbor and somehow we are some item?"
Kristen narrowed her eyes at him, "I would like to admit that, if not, why would your name be my password?"
Frederick was shocked to hear that from her. He couldn't believe that she had used his name as her password but how did she remember to the extent she knew it was his name that she used? Does that mean she remembered?
"I don't know why you will use my name, probably maybe you like me, that's why. Don't you think so?" He tried to flirt with her but she remained expressionless on her face. His Smiles faded when her expression remained unchanged. There was no emotion shown on her face even though she seemed confused. Did Kristen really forget about him? or she is playing him? Could something be wrong?
Frederick stood awkwardly waiting for her to say something at least and her reaction next surprised him, she chuckled and pointed at his face, "you should have seen your face. I wish I had captured that on camera." She laughed and shook her head.
"Still planning to head to my room or we could eat in my kitchen, dining room, or living room, choose a place." Her voice sounded normal and calm so it wasn't clear whether she had something to hide or she was pulling his legs earlier.
"I choose the dining room." As expected, that was his answer.
Kristen shrugged off her shoulders and turned to head to the dining room and foolishly as it may seem, Frederick pulled her to him and crushed his lips on hers. The kiss lasted too long to be considered a friendly or chaste kiss, it was full of feelings both had for each other. Kristen felt like she had done this with him, not just once but many times. She sensed the familiarity in his touch and the passion that flowed through their kiss. It was as if there wasn't anyone else in the whole wide world except for them at this moment, they were the only two beings on earth that could feel this kind of love. They didn't notice the door to the room slowly opening, they didn't realize how long they had been kissing till they heard a gasp, Kristen broke away first. She looked up to meet the owner of the gasping sound, she saw her neighbor standing there, staring at them. Frederick quickly released Kristen but nothing played on his face except disappointment, he wasn't expecting to see Naomi and therefore her presence ruined the moment. He hadn't expected to see Noami not until he was gone and now he didn't even know how to explain to her that it was not what it seems like when actually in the real sense he wanted to tell her the truth, that he is using her but Frederick knows that's telling the truth now will mean a lot of things will go wrong, firstly, Noami is a danger to Kristen and secondly, if Lucian finds out what just happened here, who knows what he might do next because the dude is a psychopath. And from what Frederick has seen of his behavior, he can kill to have Kristen. Forget that they broke the engagement according to Kristen but he knows that Lucian wouldn't give up so easily without doing anything. For him to even convince Kristen that he has been dating her these past two weeks she forgot means the guy was dangerous and anything posing as a danger to Kristen is what he would not want until he figures out how to protect her while he awaits her to remember him and who he was to her.
