"I didn't mean to, do you think he is jealous?" Although she asked with a sincere voice, her face was showing mischief. She smirked and took a sip of her wine.

"Take it easy on the alcohol," Santiago said.

"I'm not going to get myself drunk and even if I do, I have you take care of me.." she wiggled her eyebrows.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment you all have been waiting for." A voice plastered through the speakers, and everyone faced the stage where Mateo was standing to give a word or two.

"Good morning again everyone, I'm happy to see that you all honoured the invitation I sent, Thank you for being here with me today." He bowed his head.

"I'm not going to waste your time with boring speeches, Please let's begin." He passed the mic to the MC.

"Let's give a round of applause to Mr. Mateo Lopez.." Everyone clapped and cheered, some of them knew that Mateo wasn't who he claimed to be while others were blinded by the image he had painted of himself.

"We are going to be bidding on jewellery, some were made by my children in the home for all foundation and others were made by one of the famous jewellers, I'm not going to call to mention her name but I know someone of you will be able to recognize the maker of this jewellery and it's worth."

This made everyone to be impatient to see the jewellery that will be on display today.

"The first Jewelry is a bracelet made by a beautiful girl in the Homes for All foundation. She spent a lot of hours making this Jewelry, and above all she made it with love." The MC said.

The bracelet was made with thread, and it had beads with letters on it. "This bracelet is going for twenty thousand dollars..." He trailed waiting for them to start bidding.

"Twenty-five thousand dollars!" A woman yelled.

"I heard twenty-five thousand dollars, can I hear twenty-seven thousand dollars?"

"Twenty-seven thousand dollars!" A man yelled raising his bid number.

"I heard twenty-seven thousand dollars from the dashing young man in black, can I hear twenty-eight thousand dollars?" The MC yelled.

"One hundred thousand dollars!" A woman suddenly yelled

The crowd gasped, they couldn't believe she bided one hundred thousand dollars for a bracelet made with thread and beads.

"One hundred thousand dollars going once... Sold to the beautiful woman in blue!" Everyone cheered for her.

The children's jewelry was sold all only one was left, Ruth and Dera were looking in amazement, Andrew had bought an anklet for Dera. Her eyes beamed when the anklet was showcased, he didn't waste any time to start bidding until he had worn it.

"The necklace was made by a little boy, he is someone who is always quiet and would prefer to keep his distance from the children. We never expected him to join us in making these jewelry and we didn't expect him to be this skilled." The MC had a faint smile on his face while he was talking about the boy.

The necklace was made with blue beads, it had a pendant hanging down. "Can I get twenty-five thousand dollars?" The MC started...

"Twenty-eight.."

"Twenty-nine..."

"Thirty thousand dollars..."

Santiago looked at the necklace and he could see himself in the boy who made based on his description. He was about to ask Ruth if she liked it when he saw her staring at it, her eyes were beaming.. he didn't have to ask her if she liked it anymore, her eyes told him already.

"Forty thousand dollars..." Lorenzo yelled. He wasn't buying it for himself, he too saw Ruth staring at it.

"Sixty thousand dollars.." Santiago yelled.

Sixty-five thousand dollars.." Lorenzo yelled again.

"Seventy thousand dollars!"

"Seventy-two thousand dollars!"

"One hundred thousand dollars!"

"One hundred and five thousand dollars!"

"This is getting boring I'm done playing with him," Santiago muttered.

"Six million dollars!" Everyone gasped, they didn't expect him to raise the price to six million dollars. Why would he spend millions on such jewellery? That was the question running on some people's minds.

Lorenzo dropped his bid number, he badly wanted to win that Jewelry for Ruth but it looks like Santiago was also determined to get it from him.

Six million going once, going twice... Sold to Mrs Robert!" The crowd cheered.

"Ladies and gentlemen thank you for buying the jewellery made by the children, they will be thrilled to find out the amount of money their hard work has made... Let's move on to the next set of jewellery.."

A lady rolled a little table with jewellery covered in it, everyone could see what was inside since what was used to cover it was transparent.

"The Aurora Green diamond... Yes, it was made by the one and only Aurora Gem, the owner of the Aurora diamond collection."

"Can I hear five million dollars?" The MC began.

The bidding went on until the jewellery was bought for eighteen million dollars. Other collections of Aurora were displayed, they were bought for a high amount of money. Santiago wanted to bid on the Aurora diamond but Ruth stopped him, she didn't want to wear that kind of jewellery, she was happy with the necklace he won for her.

"Thank you, everyone, The bidding is over, but that's not all... We will be distributing presents to everyone was has graced us with their presence."

Everyone received a little box, Inside that box was a bracelet made with diamond, it was a thank-you gift from the almighty Mateo.

They were on their way out of the building when someone called Ruth, she stood waiting for the person to come meet her. "Lorenzo," she smiled.

He took hold of her hand and guided her outside so they wouldn't block the road for the others who were going out. Santiago's blood was boiling inside of his body. Lorenzo had the guts to grab her hands off his woman in his presence.

"Calm down boss," Andrew whispered in his ear.

"I'm sorry I couldn't get you the bracelet, Santiago beat me to it." He murmured.

"It's not a problem, I still got it anyway." She smiled.

"I won't take much of your time, I can feel his glare from behind me. I can tell he loves you so much, once again I was late." He lowered his head, a bitter smile marred his lips.

"I wish you happiness, I think it's time I move on and accept that you were not meant for me. If only I wasn't a coward back then...."

Ruth raced his head with the index finger and smiled, "Don't worry Lorenzo, you'll find the perfect one for you." She stood on her toes kissed his cheek and smiled. "Bye Lorenzo, until we meet again." She waved and left.

Santiago's hands formed into a fist, Without a word he caught hold of her hand and gently pulled her to the car, he glared at Lorenzo before entering the car.
