Chapter37 You Don't Belong to Me Yet
Linnea froze for a few seconds before realizing: Caius couldn't have specifically come to take her for her checkup, could he?
The huge surprise left her brain in a daze.
She stammered for a while, and only after Caius had the car driving smoothly did she carefully try to appease him. "Don't be angry, Caius. It's not that I don't care about my body. I just like you too much, so of course I'd consider your wishes more important than mine..."
"Are you trying to shift the blame to me?" Caius didn't accept this sophistry. "Linnea, you say you'll put my wishes above yours? Fine, then right now, I'll have sex with you in this car and fuck you to death."
Seeing him about to brake, Linnea felt threatened and had to give in. "I was wrong."
She quickly changed the subject. "Caius, how did you know I had a checkup today?"
"Why would you ask such a stupid question? Didn't the text message say so that day?"
"I thought you wouldn't notice."
Caius pulled at his lips, as if mocking her again, but in the end he still didn't step on the brake. After another stretch of road, he asked her, "Why didn't you just have Leo treat you? Leo and his team of doctors are infinitely more professional than the community hospital you go to, and you wouldn't have to pay medical fees."
Linnea was surprised again. "But he's your family doctor."
"If you want to use Leo, can't you just tell me?"
"Ah, ah..." Linnea stuttered. "But I didn't know how to ask you."
"For such a small matter, do you even need to ask? You just need to inform me."
How would she dare? With this temperamental tyrant, of course she wanted to cause as little trouble as possible. After all, she didn't want to damage the tiny bit of interest Caius had in her over some trivial matters...
"Linnea, you're afraid I'll find you annoying, so you don't dare casually involve me in small matters?"
Had this Caius planted a bug in her heart? He didn't leave her any privacy at all... Linnea awkwardly looked away. "Yes, so what? Other people wouldn't dare approach you casually either."
"But you're not other people. As my little cat, of course you can ask me for benefits."
Caius's tone was too frank. After hearing it, Linnea was stunned for a few seconds before she dared confirm the meaning in his words: He said she wasn't "other people"? What did that mean? Had he already included her in his territory?
But wasn't the setting for announcing such a "big thing" too casual? Just on this ordinary afternoon, in the car, with noisy car horns still sounding behind them...
Linnea didn't dare confirm how much of what he said was a joke.
She stole a glance at Caius. The corner of Caius's mouth also held a wicked light smile.
He wasn't making a sincere oath. He was definitely using this to tease her! While feeling frustrated, Linnea thought of a way to strike back.
"No, Caius, but you haven't agreed to that contract yet."
"So?"
"That proves... Right now, I don't belong to you at all. I'm not your little cat or dog!"
For once, Caius was speechless for a moment.
Just before he showed signs of getting angry, the car stopped in front of the hospital entrance. A clinic reminder simultaneously popped up on Linnea's phone, requiring her to arrive at the outpatient department within fifteen minutes. She quickly jumped up, about to pull open the car door and escape, flashing a smile of successful mischief.
"Caius, thanks for giving me a ride. I'm leaving first..."
Her wrist was forcefully grabbed by a large hand and pulled back.
Caught off guard, Linnea fell onto the lap of Caius in the driver's seat. Caius decisively pulled out the car key, pulled the door back and shut it tight, pressing her against the steering wheel. "Linnea, you've gotten bold again? Where are you going? Did you think I came here just to be your driver?"
"But you were the one who stopped the car on the roadside first."
"Stopping on the roadside means I'm letting you go?" Caius's hot breath sprayed on her neck, getting closer and closer, merging with her breathing. His kiss landed on her lips, about to deepen, when he said vaguely, "Stopping the car is of course to taste you."
In the end, Linnea did miss her original appointment time.
Only by relying on the VIP channel Caius had someone rearrange did she quickly enter the follow-up process.
Outpatient clinic, examinations, waiting for results. The process was tedious and lengthy.
What surprised Linnea again was that Caius never left.
When she did examinations, he sat on the bench in the hallway waiting for her. When she queued to pay and pick up medicine, he followed behind her, helping her carry those scattered pills...
Linnea appeared calm on the surface, but her heart was filled with doubt: Why was Caius accompanying her for the checkup? Was he at the hospital not because he happened to need to visit some important hospitalized business partner?
The time waiting for examination results was too long, and thinking about the logic behind Caius's abnormal behavior consumed a lot of her energy.
Finally, for no particular reason, Linnea sat on the hospital bench, pillowing her head on Caius's shoulder and fell fast asleep.
The weight on his shoulder increased.
Caius turned his head and saw her peaceful sleeping face, slightly stunned. She just fell asleep like that? That really didn't fit with the little cat's vigilant nature.
He thought that no matter how tired Linnea was, she would force herself to stay awake out of fear that he'd abandon her in some remote suburb. Was Linnea too tired, or was she finally willing to show him a bit of trust?
The broadcast was calling Linnea's name. She still needed to do one last examination.
A subordinate reminded him, "Do you need to wake Miss Linnea?"
Caius pulled her into his arms and pinched her waist. "Linnea, wake up."
Linnea mumbled in her sleep, "Don't bother me... I want to sleep."
Alright. Caius smiled helplessly. He gave up trying to wake Linnea. The hand pinching her waist loosened, moved down through her knee bend, and picked her up horizontally.
"The remaining examination... Forget it. Have Leo come to the beach apartment."
Half an hour later, Leo rushed over, scratching his head with a face full of guilt. "Mr. Caius, I'm really sorry. When I gave Linnea a routine checkup yesterday, I accidentally gave her a medication with side effects that increase fatigue..."
So she was forced to fall asleep after all?
Caius was inexplicably displeased. He cursed Leo without mercy.
"I pay you such a high salary so you can drug my woman? Looks like you really should go back to being an intern, earn a few months of pitiful wages, and let that pig-brained head of yours clear up a bit."
While apologizing in panic, Leo was also surprised: He never thought he'd be worthy of Caius spending energy to evaluate him, even if the content was extremely harsh. All because of this Miss Linnea.
Linnea happened to wake up at this moment. What was going on... How did she suddenly end up back at the beach apartment?
Seeing her wake up, Leo breathed a huge sigh of relief and quickly retreated.
Caius explained without courtesy, "You were drugged unconscious by that idiot."
She quickly realized it was probably Leo feeding her those unreliable medications again. She wasn't surprised by this, but seeing Caius's strange expression, she was certain Caius was annoyed again.
What had she done wrong this time? Ah, could it be... She understood.
So, just as Caius was about to call her up for dinner, Linnea suddenly wrapped her arms around his thighs. Through his suit pants, soft palms stroked up the root of his thigh, sliding upward.
Linnea's voice, still containing drowsiness, spoke up.
"Caius, I'm completely awake now."
Caius paused, a rare doubt spreading in his eyes. "What are you doing?"
"Seducing you, of course."
That restless hand was already trying to pull at his zipper. Linnea stared at him, her eyes hazy, asking him in a low voice.
"Just now in the car, didn't you say... You wanted to come home and fuck me?"
