Chapter19 Pushing Amy into the Sea
Caius sneered.
She better pray she was nothing more than a waitress. Otherwise, he couldn't guarantee what he might do!
Linnea, that stupid little kitten, did she even realize she was his exclusive toy? His toy, yet she went off to flatter and serve other men... Another vase shattered on the floor.
"Bring the yacht to the shore."
"Yes, sir!"
He wanted to see just how this seductive little cat dared to flirt with other men right in front of him!
---
Meanwhile, Amy had also infiltrated the yacht.
Tonight, even Jax was coming aboard. He would send his subordinates to ensure the plan to expose Linnea's dirty secrets went off without a hitch. Right now, Amy was outside the VIP room Linnea was serving in.
She slipped inside, acting as the most inconspicuous server, helping open and close the door, all while aiming a miniature camera at Linnea.
Linnea hadn't noticed.
Just dealing with this group of men—who were low in status but incredibly crude in behavior—had left her completely exhausted.
They had been ordered by Kevin to continuously harass Linnea for two hours.
After Linnea managed to dodge the last glass of wine spiked with an aphrodisiac, the men finally drank themselves into a stupor.
Taking advantage of a server coming in with a new bottle, Linnea quickly escaped.
She didn't dare relax until she reached a secluded bathroom and locked the door. Only then did Linnea finally let out a weary sigh.
She went to the sink and checked the tear in her dress using the mirror. The rip had started as just a finger-width, but it had gradually grown with every move. Now, it climbed from her waist all the way up to just under her chest, barely covering her bra...
Looking at her distressed reflection, Linnea gave a self-mocking twist of her lips.
A wave of sadness washed over her.
Just six years ago, she was an innocent little princess, always clinging to her mother. She'd never experienced anything dark. The strongest drink she'd ever had was the cherry wine her mother had the cook brew. The cherries were picked from the garden, and the taste was sweet. Linnea hadn't learned how to drink back then and would always pass out drunk.
But now, her throat was clogged with the bitter, spicy taste of alcohol, tobacco smoke, harsh perfume, and body odor...
She had lost her mother and was now forced to endure this humiliation!
And the root of all this suffering was her own blood relative! Her devilish, cold-blooded father had ruined everything!
Linnea couldn't bear it anymore. Clutching the edge of the sink, she gagged violently.
She hadn't touched a drop of alcohol all night, so all she could spit up were pools of sour bile.
How could she not hate that family of devils?!
She would definitely make all of them pay!
Cupping one last handful of water to clean her mouth and face, Linnea put on her impenetrable professional smile once more.
Her mind was fully focused on the battle ahead, but her peripheral vision caught sight of a sneaky figure—Amy?!
"Stop right there!"
Without time to think, Linnea took off in pursuit.
Amy's body jolted, and she instinctively ran away.
In the dead of night, the corridor was empty. They ran onto the deck without disturbing anyone. Linnea cornered her against the railing.
Behind Amy was the deep, black ocean. In the darkness, it looked like a giant beast ready to swallow everything.
Fear began to creep into Amy's heart.
But was she afraid of Linnea? No way!
Linnea was just a weak bitch who had to rely on men to make money for her part-time job. What power did she have? Did she really think Linnea would dare to push her into the sea? She didn't have the guts!
Linnea's eyes scrutinized her.
Using her experience from working in nightclubs, she quickly spotted the camera emitting a faint red light. She pressed her lips into a thin line. "Hand over what you have."
Her dress had been torn in the VIP room. She didn't know if Amy had snapped indecent photos of her!
If Amy leaked those photos and Caius found out... she would be finished!
Amy sensed Linnea's anxiety and smirked triumphantly:
"Are you talking about my micro-camera? Oh, I don't mind giving it to you."
"But even if you destroy it right now, it's useless! Those flirtatious photos of you intimately tangled up with those men, with a big tear in your dress, have already been backed up online through its network function!"
"Oh," Linnea said. "So, you want me to beg for mercy?"
"Beg for mercy? Not a bad idea." Amy laughed. She was sure Linnea wouldn't touch her, as she held a perfect card against her. "How will you beg me? Give me money? Or lick my shoes?"
Linnea stared at her, enunciating every word:
"You lick my shoes and beg me for mercy right now, and maybe I'll still give you a way out."
"...What do you mean?"
"Idiot, the yacht is a signal-jamming zone," Linnea finally couldn't hold back a laugh. "And you, someone who snuck onto this yacht, do you know how to bypass the jamming network?"
Amy's heart stopped.
She quickly looked down at the signal light, desperately hoping Linnea was just trying to scare her...
No, the signal light was really off!
Her entire body stiffened. The sheer panic prevented her from hearing the subtle sound of a cap being opened in the air.
Amy desperately pressed the camera button. When she realized the camera hadn't actually managed to transmit the "flirtatious photos" online at any point, her face went pale. But just as she lifted her head—
"Pfft—"
A sharp, pungent smell assailed her.
The next second, Amy's limbs quickly went limp!
"Linnea, what did you do to me?"
Amy screamed helplessly, completely unable to resist, letting Linnea grab her arm.
Linnea met her gaze again. This time, her eyes were frighteningly calm:
"Ms. Amy, you secretly snuck onto this yacht, didn't you? So, nobody on this entire yacht knows a bitch named Amy was ever on board!"
"Besides, in a shady place full of rich people, would the death of a server who crossed a rich man ever become headline-making news?"
Amy finally understood, and a look of sheer terror spread across her face.
She had never imagined that the seemingly kind Linnea had a side that was pathologically insane!
"Are you going to kill me? Linnea, don't be rash..."
"Don't worry, this drug's effect only lasts for one minute. You'll quickly regain mobility in the sea, but you won't be able to swim out of the ocean. Even if rescuers fish you out, they'll only rule it as a normal drowning. They won't suspect foul play."
Linnea leaned close to her, delivering words that sounded like they came from hell, all in a gentle voice.
For a moment, Amy saw Caius's shadow in her.
Linnea and Caius were exactly the same person!
The instinct for survival crushed her desire for revenge. Amy finally wanted to beg for mercy, but it was too late.
Linnea shoved her hard against the railing, grabbed her ankle, and flipped her over—
She pushed Amy right into the sea!
