Chapter 192 "Do You Think I'm Dirty? Do You Want to Clean Me Up Yourself?”
Chapter 192 "Do You Think I'm Dirty? Do You Want to Clean Me Up Yourself?”
"I was so disgusted at the time that I slapped you twice."
“Mason, were those two slaps too light, causing you to forget? Don’t forget—we have text messages to prove it."
As soon as Jennifer finished speaking, the entire room fell silent.
No one had expected Mason to be like this.
Meanwhile, Michael, who was listening from outside the venue, turned ashen the moment he heard Jennifer say, "You licked my ear."
He had no idea that Jennifer had gone through something like this.
Not only had her assistant failed to tell him, but Jennifer herself hadn’t mentioned a word about it either!
On the other side of the room, Mason—who hadn't expected her to actually speak these words aloud—turned ashen in an instant.
It all clicked into place!
No wonder Jennifer had suddenly sent him a warning text that day.
He hadn't replied at first but eventually couldn't resist her provocation and fired back a few insults.
Jennifer walked onto the stage and projected their text message exchange onto the ceremony’s big screen.
Mr. Wilson, regarding what happened that day, I hope it won't happen again.
Why didn't you refuse to ride in my car back then? Didn't you think about what might happen with just the two of us alone in a car? Who’s to blame if you don’t mind your own business?
So, in your eyes, riding in your car means it’s okay to be harassed and have my ear licked? I guess I really don’t understand workplace etiquette. I promise not to ride in your car next time.
Get lost.
Although Mason only replied, Get lost, that actually proved he admitted to everything Jennifer said.
Now, the colleagues who had spoken up for Mason looked uneasy.
They knew Mason was over this time.
Sexual harassment was one of the most notorious crimes these days, and no one dares to get involved. One by one, they fell silent and made excuses to slip away.
Jennifer watched the scene unfold with satisfaction.
She’d been itching to take Mason down for a long time but had never found the right opportunity.
First, she lacked evidence. Second, unlike sexual assault, sexual harassment rarely delivered a knockout blow.
With so many colleagues gathered today, she seized the chance to expose Mason’s hypocrisy once and for all. Even if she couldn’t send him to prison, she’d make sure his career was ruined for good!
At that moment, all of the students participating were filled with righteous indignation. They signed a joint petition condemning Mason’s behavior and some spontaneously recorded the scene and posted it online.
The live chat flooded with scathing insults directed at Mason.
News of Mason’s sexual harassment quickly shot to the top of the trending list.
One after another, women came forward, claiming that they had also been harassed by Mason, and demanding that he be blacklisted.
That night, both Jennifer’s victory and the harassment she faced became the hottest topics of the moment.
It was heartening, however, to see that, throughout the online discourse, there were no longer any victim-blaming comments.
On the contrary, everyone rallied behind Jennifer in her fight for justice and admired her courage.
Finally, to maintain order, the camp sent staff to evacuate everyone from the awards ceremony.
The celebratory dinner was canceled as well.
When the teacher went to speak with Jennifer about Mason’s harassment, her roommate told the teacher that she hadn’t returned to the dorm that night.
Concerned for Jennifer’s well-being, the teacher called her immediately.
The call connected immediately.
Jennifer's voice on the other end was not as fragile as everyone had imagined. Instead, it was gentle and warm, conveying a sense of peace and tranquility.
"Professor, I'm up on the mountain watching a meteor shower. I’m sorry to have worried you.”
The professor was taken aback. “Watching a meteor shower?”
“Yes, I heard it’s supposed to be a spectacular one this summer,” Jennifer said.
The professor scratched her head and said, "Well, that's good. Watching a meteor shower is a nice way to take your mind off things. I was just worried about you, so I called to check in.”
Jennifer replied, "Don't worry. I left right after the ceremony ended. I just didn’t have a chance to let you know.”
"It's okay. As long as you’re safe. Are you alone, by the way? Is it safe up there?”
Jennifer glanced at Liam beside her.
She also looked at Michael’s Maybach, which was making its way up the mountain road in front of her.
Jennifer replied calmly, "I'm with my friend."
The teacher said, "Okay, then stay safe. If you need any help, just let me know, okay?”
Jennifer replied, "Okay."
After a moment, the teacher added, "I also want to tell you that you did exceptionally well tonight, both in the competition and with the advocacy work!"
She admired Jennifer’s composure and courage. She wished Jennifer well.
Jennifer smiled. "Thank you, professor."
However, after hanging up, Jennifer felt uneasy.
She hadn’t realized that Michael was at the venue tonight.
She only knew he was there when she spotted the familiar headlights of his Maybach down the hill.
His car was driving right toward her.
She suddenly remembered what he’d said about the tent—that he wanted her to try it out in there to test its... She was worried he might misunderstand her relationship with Liam and come looking for trouble.
Liam thought Jennifer looked upset about what had happened at the awards ceremony that night.
He had thought she wouldn’t come, but when he saw her appear, he was surprised.
He had thought of many comforting words for her, but at that moment, he felt that no matter what he said, it wouldn't make up for her suffering.
He wasn't a girl anyway and could never truly understand some of the fears girls face in this world.
It seemed it wasn't the right time to confess his feelings tonight either.
With these thoughts in mind, Liam sat silently with Jennifer on the hilltop.
Just as Jennifer was about to speak up, she noticed that Liam had fallen asleep with his head bowed.
Jennifer froze for a moment.
But, remembering how busy the art department had been these past few days and how tired Liam must be, she didn’t rush to wake him.
Michael’s car should be arriving any minute now.
To avoid conflict, she stood up and walked toward the path Michael was coming from.
Before she could take a few steps, though, a large hand wrapped tightly around her waist and pulled her forcefully into the shadows beneath a nearby tree.
The man’s lips pressed hard against her ear.
In an instant, Jennifer recognized whose scent and body heat belonged to.
Unlike Mason, who had evoked resistance and revulsion in her, Jennifer had grown accustomed to this man’s body and the intimacy he offered, without realizing it.
So when he kissed her ear, she returned the favor without hesitation.
Her soft, sweet lips and tongue wrapped around his, opening to take in the sensitive skin at the side of his ear and neck. Then she bit down, returning the favor for the bite he had given her on the lips a few days earlier by the air conditioning unit.
Michael’s muscles tensed instantly, and a jolt of electricity seemed to run through his scalp.
Downstairs at the camp dormitory, he’d wanted to do this for a long time but had forced himself to wait until now. Even his movements took on a touch of brutality.
His fingertips gripped her waist so tightly that it felt as if he were crushing her bones.
She gasped for breath, her voice a faint whisper. “Do you think I’m dirty? Do you want to clean me up yourself?”
