Chapter 255 Identity

Chapter 255 Identity

Alan was holding onto a woman wearing a scarf.

Sophia looked at the woman, quickly stepped forward, and pulled down her scarf.

But unexpectedly, this woman was also not Vivian.

Sophia turned around and found a woman behind her holding Samuel, with a knife pressed against his neck.

"What's going on?" Alan was a bit helpless seeing this scene: "Is everyone here a criminal?"

Sophia calmly said, "No, only her."

Alan took a step forward and immediately shouted, "Drop the weapon now."

At that moment, the scarf on Vivian's head had fallen off, revealing her cold expression and somewhat fierce eyes. She scanned the surroundings, "You better not move, or I'll kill him."

Sophia stepped forward, "Don't be impulsive, if you have any demands, we can talk."

Vivian replied, "I need a car, and you will drive."

Sophia nodded, "No problem."

Alan stepped forward and said, "No need to waste words with her, just arrange snipers outside, she won't be able to escape."

Sophia turned her head and said seriously, "She can't die. I have some doubts that need to be resolved."

Alan hesitated, "But I'm worried you won't be able to handle it. If you encounter danger, wouldn't it make us look very incompetent?"

Sophia patted him, her eyes firm, "Trust me, I only go into battles I'm sure about."

Alan nodded, "Then it's up to you."

Saying that, he handed his car keys to Sophia.

Sophia shook the car keys in her hand and walked towards Vivian.

Alan stood next to James and asked, "Aren't you worried about her?"

James placed his right hand on his waist and said seriously, "I'm more curious about how well she is hiding."

"You don't mean Ms. Brown, do you?" Alan asked in surprise.

James didn't speak.

When Sophia was almost beside Vivian, Vivian suddenly shouted, "Turn around."

Sophia obediently turned her back to her, and then a cold knife was pressed against her throat.

Vivian's voice was still cold, "Come with me."

Seeing this, Alan's eyes widened from a distance.

"It seems her target is not Samuel, but Ms. Brown. If I had arranged snipers just now, her arm would have been shot through the moment she ran over."

James calmly remarked, "You have to trust her; she should have her plan."

Vivian slowly walked out of the church with Sophia.

Then the two of them got into Alan's private car.

Sophia drove the car away and asked, "Where do you want to go?"

Vivian thought for a moment, "Anywhere safe will do."

Sophia said, "If you want to go to a safe place, we probably have to abandon the car and go on foot. You should know better than I where it is safe, right?"

Vivian looked at her in disbelief, "Why do you say that?"

Sophia looked ahead, her pupils intense, "Actually, you are not a regular girl, are you? Your skills—hiding, vigilance, adaptability, and anti-surveillance—are not what one would expect from a young girl."

Vivian smiled, "I thought you were unusual from the beginning, and I was right."

"Tell me, you must have a purpose for bringing me here." Sophia touched the knife, "You can take this away."

Vivian's tone dripped with menace, "What if I don't?"

Sophia exhaled, moved her right hand, and skillfully grabbed Vivian's wrist. Vivian tried to struggle, but it was too late. Sophia exerted force, and with the sound of bones, Vivian's wrist was dislocated, and the knife fell onto the car.

Vivian's eyes widened in disbelief. "Who are you? Escaping from my grasp is almost impossible unless you have undergone hundreds of training sessions. And you must be very talented."

Sophia turned her head, "Who I am is not important, who you are is what matters. You have calluses on your wrist, which means you often hold a gun."

Vivian's pupils contracted, she leaned back in the seat, and looked out the window.

Sophia added, "Don't think about escaping, I've locked the car doors. You just need to chat with me and tell me what I want to know, and maybe I'll let you go."

Vivian sat there and asked, "What do you want to know?"

Sophia said, "The course of events."

Vivian replied, "Those people were killed by Jade; it has nothing to do with me. she likes to control people."

"Is Samuel's matter also related to her?" Sophia asked in disbelief.

Vivian nodded, "Someone gave her a large sum of money to control Samuel."

Sophia couldn't understand, "Why?"

"I don't know either," Vivian analyzed, "Maybe the person behind it wants to understand you through Samuel. You can think about whether you have any enemies."

Sophia thought of a possibility, but she couldn't be sure yet.

She pondered for a moment and asked, "Why did you kill her?"

Vivian answered, "Because she was about to discover my identity."

Sophia turned her head and looked at her seriously, "What is your identity?"

Vivian replied, "Knowing it won't do you any good."

Sophia probed, "Why did Jade drive those men away?"

"Because I used some means to make those men control her, and they did some bad things," Vivian responded.

Sophia leaned back, "I always had a suspicion, but I didn't know if it was correct. Can you take off your shoes and let me see your feet?"

Vivian laughed, her smile wide and knowing, "No need, your answer is spot on."

"Then that explains everything. You bought the bronze statue, so you are familiar with everything inside. And you helped her manage the entire church, so you must be very familiar with it. I even suspect you have the keys here." Sophia stared into her eyes, "Right, Violet."

Her smile widened, but her features contorted, creating an unsettling aura, "You're right; besides me, I doubt anyone else could pull this off."

"After you killed Vivian, you disguised yourself as her, and during the ten days you disappeared, you had plastic surgery. No wonder her parents always felt she had changed." Sophia rubbed her temples and said, "You're so eager to conceal your identity; it must mean your other self is something truly extraordinary, huh?"
