Chapter 89 New beginning
Chapter 89 New beginning
Ruan refused to let go of Aysel's waist, he stayed on his knees on the bathroom floor, pressing his face harder into her shirt and crying loudly, his shoulders shook with every breath.
"Ruan, you are going to break my ribs," Aysel laughed softly, crying happily along with him, running her hands gently through his hair.
"I don’t care," Ruan choked out, his voice muffled against her stomach, he refused to pull away. "I am never letting go of you again, Aysel."
"You cannot live on the bathroom floor, baby," Aysel whispered, wiping her cheeks and gently tugged on his shirt to pull him up.
Ruan finally lifted his head, his face was red and covered in tears, he looked up at her with hope in his eyes.
"Are you sure?" Ruan asked, his voice shaking. He reached up to touch her stomach with trembling fingers. "Is the test really real, Aysel? Or Is it a mistake?"
"It is real," Aysel promised, she picked up the pink plastic stick from the counter and showed him the two bold lines again. "I am late, I feel sick, Ruan, we are really having a baby."
Ruan stood up quickly, his body towering over her, he wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her off the ground and buried his face in her neck, holding her so tight she could barely breathe, but she didn't complain, she just wrapped her legs around his hips and held him back.
"I am calling Dr. Aris right this second," Ruan said quickly as he carried her out of the bathroom and walked straight to the bed. "I want him to check your blood pressure, I want an entire medical team sitting outside this door."
"Put me down, Ruan," Aysel ordered softly "And put your phone away, we do not need a doctor today."
Ruan set her gently onto the edge of the bed and dropped to his knees in front of her, his hands resting on her legs, he looked stressed.
"What do you mean we do not need a doctor?" Ruan asked, his eyebrows pulled together in worry. "You need vitamins, you need rest, and you need a safe bubble, Aysel, I have to protect you."
"Look at me," Aysel said, taking his face in both hands to make him look into her eyes. "I am not broken, Ruan, I am just pregnant, I do not need a safe bubble, and I definitely do not need a medical team standing in our hallway."
"But what if something goes wrong again?" Ruan whispered, a tear slipping down his cheek. "What if I lose you both again, Aysel? I will not survive it this time."
"Nobody poisoned me duhh," Aysel said, wiping his tear away with her thumb, she spoke slowly so he would believe her. " It is just you and me."
"I just want to keep you safe," Ruan cried softly, resting his forehead against hers.
"I am already safe," Aysel smiled, kissing his nose. "You promised you would not build another cage for me, Ruan, Remember? You promised to let me breathe."
Ruan closed his eyes, taking a long, deep breath to push the panic out of his chest forcing himself to be gentle.
"You are right," Ruan agreed, opening his eyes. A small smile finally touched his lips.
"Exactly," Aysel nodded, kissing his lips sweetly. "We will go see the doctor next week, but right now, I just want to celebrate with you."
"I love you so much," Ruan murmured, leaning forward to kiss her deeply. "I want a little girl, Aysel, I want a daughter with your beautiful brown eyes."
"I want a boy," Aysel laughed against his mouth, playfully pushing his chest. "I want a stubborn, bossy little boy who looks just like you."
"If he acts like me, we will be in a lot of trouble," Ruan chuckled, sitting up on the bed next to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close. "We should tell Kai and Mina."
"Call them right now," Aysel gasped happily, her eyes lighting up. "Mina is going to scream so loud she will break the phone speaker."
Ruan pulled his phone out of his pocket and quickly dialed Kai's number, he put the call on speaker so Aysel could hear everything.
The phone rang twice before Kai answered. His voice sounded tired and sleepy.
"Ruan, it is too early for business," Kai groaned through the phone, he heard Mina mumbling something sleepy in the background. "I am still in bed, call Cole if you need to yell at someone."
"Get your ass out of bed, Kai," Ruan laughed, unable to hide the joy in his voice. "Bring Mina to the island right now, I need you both here today."
"Why, what happened?" Kai asked, his voice changing instantly, turning sharp and fully awake. "Is it an emergency? Did someone attack?"
"Just get over here," Ruan said simply, looking at Aysel with a huge grin. "And bring some good food, we are celebrating."
Ruan hung up the phone before Kai could ask any more questions, he threw the phone onto the bed and pulled Aysel back into his arms, kissing her neck over and over again until she giggled uncontrollably.
An hour later, the front door of the house banged open, loud footsteps echoed down the hallway, making Ruan and Aysel look up from the sofa.
"Who is trying to kill you now?" Kai shouted as he ran into the living room, holding his car keys like a weapon. His eyes scanned the room wildly. "I drove ninety miles an hour, Ruan, where is the threat?"
Mina ran in right behind him, wearing a sweater and looking terrified, she was breathing fast.
"Nobody is dying, Kai," Ruan laughed loudly, standing up from the sofa and keeping his hand on Aysel's waist. "Put your keys away, and there is no threat."
"Then why did you call us sounding like a crazy person?" Mina asked, placing her hands on her hips and glaring at Ruan. "You scared me half to death, I thought Arthur came back from the dead!"
"Arthur is burning in hell," Aysel smiled, standing next to Ruan and reaching into her pocket. "We called you here because we wanted to show you something very important."
"Did you buy another hotel?" Kai groaned, running his hands through his messy hair and dropping his keys onto the table. "Because if you dragged me out of bed for a real estate deal, I am going to punch you in the jaw."
Aysel didn’t say a word, she pulled her hand out of her pocket, holding the plastic stick out in front of her.
Mina stopped breathing, her eyes went wide as she stared at the stick in Aysel's hand, she took a slow step forward.
"Aysel," Mina whispered, her voice cracking. "Is that what I think it is?"
"Look at it," Aysel cried happily, handing the test to her best friend. "Look at the lines, Mina."
Mina looked down at the two bright pink lines, her hands shook so violently she almost dropped the stick onto the rug, she let out a loud scream, dropping the test and throwing her body at Aysel, hugging her so hard they stumbled backward.
"You are pregnant!" Mina screamed, jumping up and down, hot tears poured down her face. "Oh my god, Aysel, you are having a baby!"
"I am having a baby," Aysel sobbed, hugging Mina back, she laughed and cried at the same time. "We are going to be parents, Mina."
Kai froze near the table, staring at Ruan, his eyes were wide with shock, unable to speak.
"A baby," Kai breathed out, taking a slow step toward his friend, he shook his head in disbelief. "You are actually going to be a father, Ruan."
"I am going to be a dad," Ruan smiled, tears filling his eyes again, he stepped forward to pull Kai into a big hug, slapping his friend hard on the back. "We finally got our miracle, brother."
"I am so happy for you," Kai laughed roughly, hugging Ruan back and feeling tears sting his own eyes. "A tiny Ruan running around the city? The world isn't ready for that."
"He’ll be so much better than me," Ruan said seriously, pulling back to look at Aysel, his heart swelled with so much love it ached. "He'll be kind and gentle because he has her for a mother."
"Or she," Aysel corrected playfully, wiping her tears. "It might be a little girl, Ruan."
"If it’s a girl, I’m buying a shotgun tomorrow," Ruan growled softly, pretending to be angry. Everyone erupted in laughter. "No boy is getting within ten miles of my daughter."
"See, he’s already turning into a protective dad," Kai joked, wrapping his arm around Mina's waist. "We’ll have to save that poor kid from him."
Together in the living room, they laughed and cried, sharing the amazing news, feeling like a real family. As Ruan pulled Aysel into his arms, he knew their beautiful, peaceful future was just beginning.
