Chapter 93 Heidi's boyfriend
Brandon said, "Am I really a good person? Haven't you heard the rumors about me?"
But Victoria replied, "Yes, I have heard them, but I don't think they're true. You can be a bit domineering, a bit arrogant, a bit impatient, and have a bit of a temper, but other than that, you're fine."
"..."
Was that a compliment?
Brandon furrowed his brow again.
Victoria continued, "At least you wear your flaws on your sleeve. Unlike those who pretend to be your friend but stab you in the back, those are the real villains. You're just strong-willed and don't stoop to their level. You always face things head-on!"
Brandon felt a little better after hearing that.
Victoria glanced inside and asked, "But is Diana okay? Did Madam Duncan trick her into something?"
Brandon also looked inside, thinking she was asking if their conspiracy posed a threat to him. "It's nothing to worry about," he replied calmly before walking away without changing his expression.
What kind of answer was that?
Victoria quickly went to work, but when she arrived at the door, she saw Felix waiting for her.
"Felix? Are you looking for Heidi?" she asked. But Felix replied, "No, I'm here to see you. I wanted to thank you for saving me last time. I heard you work around here, and I live nearby, so I came to say thank you."
Victoria was speechless. Why did this guy come to her to say thank you? He could have just said it to Heidi. "It's okay, Heidi and I have been friends since childhood. I'm helping her, not you," she said.
Felix walked over. "It's different. We're just dating, still independent individuals. Oh, by the way...do you have time? I have some questions I want to ask you."
Victoria felt uneasy, but if she refused, she didn't know what he was up to. So she hesitated for a moment and said, "Just tell me what you want to say."
"Let's go over there and chat while we rest," Felix said.
He took her to a coffee shop and bought coffee for both of them. It seemed that Heidi was reliable and didn't tell Felix everything, so he probably didn't know she was pregnant and couldn't drink coffee. Victoria didn't refuse and looked at him. "What do you want to talk to me about? I still have work to do."
"It's nothing. At first, I thought Heidi and I were a perfect match, but lately, I feel like there are always problems between us. She's becoming more and more unreasonable, pushing what she wants onto me. I'm thinking about how to talk to her to make her stop. I don't want to take the postgraduate entrance exam. My dream since I was young was to be an artist who travels like the wind."
The more Victoria listened, the more dumbfounded she felt. Why was he telling her all this? "Are you thinking about breaking up with Heidi?" she asked.
"I'm just considering it. It's not good for incompatible people to be together. Hey, your temper is pretty good. Her temper isn't as good as yours. So I don't dare say these things to her. If she could learn from you, that would be great."
Victoria's face darkened. This guy's words were so strange. She felt that there was a problem and could only go along with him. "So what do you mean? Do you want me to persuade her?"
"It's not that. I don't think she can persuade her either. Her family background should be pretty good. At first, I didn't know, but later I realized that this is probably the result of mismatched backgrounds. She has been influenced by money and has lost her way a bit," Felix explained.
Victoria chuckled, "I just checked the time, it's getting late and I have to go to work. How about we exchange contact information and you can reach out to me if you need anything?"
Felix apologized, "I'm sorry for keeping you."
After exchanging contact information, Victoria left. Felix immediately made a phone call to someone.
"I contacted her, just like you asked," Felix said. The person on the other end asked, "Are you confident that you can get her?"
"Who the man is doesn't matter. He's already her husband, and he's cheating on her with other women. She must be lonely and in need of affirmation and comfort. I've seen many women like her before. Plus, she's like Heidi, a rich girl who hasn't experienced much. She's easy to fool," Felix replied.
The person on the other end didn't say anything else. Victoria arrived at work and Grayson suddenly came to see Brandon.
"Hey, I'm here again," Grayson said.
"Are you that free lately, big artist?" Brandon didn't even look up.
"I bet you don't want to chase me away this time. I know who your wife met today. Aren't you interested?" Brandon finally looked up, "Who did she meet?"
"I've been following Felix lately, and today he went to see your wife," Grayson said.
Brandon tapped his fingers on the table, "Heidi's boyfriend? Why are you following him?"
"It's all because of that little girl, Heidi," he said, raising an eyebrow and looking at Grayson with a perfectly timed expression of doubt.
Duncan Grayson quickly interjected, "It's not that I'm interested in her, it's just that she never believes what I say. She thinks Felix is so amazing, and I just want to show her how foolish she is."
"Okay, you don't have to explain it to me. Keep going," he replied. "Oh, Felix went to talk to Victoria. Look, I recorded the video for you. He was being so attentive, buying her coffee and dessert, and even exchanging contact information. This guy must have some ulterior motive. In my years of experience, when a man is so attentive to a woman who is not his girlfriend, it's usually because he's up to no good. Some men even like to go after their girlfriend's friends, especially when the friend is as beautiful as Victoria. You need to keep an eye on her."
Brandon watched the video, his brow furrowing more and more as he watched.
"Hmm," he said, taking the phone and heading out.
Grayson jumped up, asking,"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to find Victoria."
"Okay, go ahead, but give me back my phone."
Brandon paused again before leaving. "Never mind," he said, looking up at Grayson. "You keep an eye on him."
He didn't want to confront Victoria and risk being called overbearing again. She hadn't forgotten her evaluation of him.
Grayson took out his phone. "Why are you still staring? Get that man out of High City right now. Don't regret it if something happens. These young girls are all very naive. Felix looks like he knows how to play the victim and appeal to a woman's sympathy."
Brandon furrowed his brow even more.
He didn't know how Victoria would handle this.
In theory, she wouldn't continue to see him if she cared so much about her friend.
But maybe it was all an act, and there was nothing he could do about it.
When Victoria arrived at the company, she heard the Duncan Family's butler say that Mid-Autumn Festival was coming up and they were going back home to celebrate.
