Chapter 84 Despicable man
Grayson couldn't help but sneer, "Better than being fooled and paying someone else after being sold."
"You..."
"Oh, Teacher Larson...Heidi."
Victoria looked helplessly at the two of them, wondering how they started quarreling. Heidi's face was red with anger, while Grayson sat calmly inside, smiling faintly. His expression was playful and it was easy to make people angry.
Fortunately, Heidi glanced at Victoria on the side, giving her a face-saving expression and began to eat her food forcefully, ignoring Grayson.
Brandon also glanced at Victoria on the side and gave her a clear white eye.
Victoria saw it, but didn't care. She just ate her food and quickly thanked Grayson.
"Teacher Larson, thank you for everything. After acquiring our company, the company has decided to give me the project of the universe."
She showed a bright smile. Grayson glanced at his friend on the side and said, "It's nothing. Your talent is recognized by others, and it has nothing to do with me."
"Teacher Larson, you are really a good person, and you are so humble. People like you deserve to be rich and famous!"
Victoria's eyes sparkled with admiration.
Grayson felt the sudden chill from the man next to him and suddenly choked, coughing violently.
"Deserve to be rich and famous?"
He expressed his confusion about her words.
"Victoria said, 'Oh, this is a compliment, meaning that you should have money.'"
"Oh, kids these days, they don't talk like us, right, Brandon?"
Brandon ate his food and spoke coldly, "Nonsense."
Victoria glared at him fiercely, "This is a generation gap."
Brandon finally looked at her, "Well, I hope your design doesn't have a generation gap with me. After all, I am your client now. If your design cannot please me, the opportunity Grayson gave you will only be wasted by you."
Victoria choked.
Was he threatening her?
"Don't worry, I will do my best in my professional field. I am not a person who sacrifices public interest for personal gain, nor am I a person who cannot distinguish between public and private interests."
His eyebrows furrowed, "Are you implying that I am a person who sacrifices public interest for personal gain? You can rest assured that I am just strict in my company's design requirements. If you cannot meet my requirements, it just means that your ability is not enough."
"You..."
Victoria gritted her teeth silently, but also made up her mind that she must do well this time!
She wouldn't let this guy look down on her.
After they left, Heidi still looked unhappy.
Brandon left directly, and Heidi looked at their backs and cursed Victoria, "No wonder they say birds of a feather flock together. They can be friends because they are not good people!"
Victoria could only look at Heidi silently. As for Brandon, he really wasn't a good person, but Grayson was still a good person, right...
Brandon had to continue working on her designs from today onwards. She had worked late into the night and returned to her room to continue working. When Brandon came out, he saw Victoria's sleeping on the table with a pen still in her hand. As he approached her, he heard her muttering, "Bad guy, I will definitely...do it well." Brandon's eyes flickered. Was she cursing him? He walked over, intending to wake her up and question her, but upon seeing her sleeping face, he let out a sigh and picked her up, placing her back on the bed. Victoria murmured and turned over but didn't wake up.
As Brandon lowered his head, he noticed the faint marks on her neck that still hadn't faded away. They were like tiny green flowers, sticking to her tender white skin. Before he could react, his hand had already reached out to touch them. Brandon woke up suddenly, feeling someone touching her, and was scared out of her wits. She looked up and met Brandon's dark eyes. "What are you doing?" she asked. Hearing her voice, Brandon suddenly came to his senses. He looked at her frightened expression and his eyes dimmed. "What am I doing?" he snorted, sarcastically adding, "You can rest assured that I won't touch you. You, a woman who still carries someone else's child, are too dirty for me."
Her heart sank and she bit her lip in anger. "It's not like you haven't touched me before. You talk so nicely, but you're a hypocrite."
His pale face turned angry and his dark eyes glared at her.
"I think you're asking for trouble."
She quickly backed away. "What are you going to do? If you touch me again, I'll call my grandmother."
His eyes flashed and he grabbed her phone, throwing it to the ground.
"Ah... you!"
Brandon stepped on it without hesitation.
Victoria widened her eyes.
Then, he pressed her down and held her there.
"Call whoever you want. Let's see how you're going to do it."
His tone was condescending, as if he was humiliated. Victoria blushed and felt the rough fingertips rubbing against her lips. Suddenly, the feeling from that night came back, making her tremble.
He pushed her away fiercely and walked out.
Victoria leaned against the wall and closed her eyes, cursing him in her heart.
The next morning, a brand new phone was placed on the table beside her.
She bit her lip and looked at it. Even though it was new, it was not the same as before.
She went to the company and soon President Jenkins said, "Today, we're all going to Cosmos Group for the first meeting."
Victoria and Yesenia took the company car to the Universal Building with Victoria's design in hand. Yesenia couldn't help but marvel at the sight of the building. "No wonder it's a big company. Is this whole building owned by Brandon? It must cost a fortune." Victoria bit her lip, feeling a bit uneasy at the mention of Brandon's name.
As they entered the building, they were stopped by someone at the door. "Victoria? Yesenia? What a joke. What are you doing here at Universal?" It was their former classmate, Quiana.
"Yesenia greeted her, "Hi, Quiana. It's really you. I heard you got into Universal. Congratulations."
Quiana pushed them away, "I'm asking you two. Who allowed you to come into the company? No outsiders are allowed here. Are you here to look for a job? Security, get these two out of here."
