Chapter 79 The child is safe
When Dylan came out, he saw Victoria sitting on the ground with a pale face. "What happened?" he asked.
Erica ran up to Dylan with a frightened expression on her face. "I accidentally bumped into Victoria and she fell down. She can't get up and wants to go to the hospital," she explained. Dylan frowned. "Victoria, are you playing this game again?" he asked.
But Victoria suddenly looked up and shouted, "Take me to the hospital, now!"
Dylan was scared by her sudden outburst and turned to Erica. "Erica, you go back first. I'll take her to the hospital," he said.
Erica grabbed his clothes and looked worried. But Dylan's heart softened when he saw her fragile expression. "It's okay, be good and wait for me to come back. She seems really sick," he said.
Erica glared at Victoria. How could she pretend to be so fragile? But she didn't want to disobey Dylan, especially after the plagiarism incident earlier that day. Dylan quickly approached Victoria. "Did you sprain your foot? Come on, let me carry you to the hospital," he said.
But Victoria didn't dare move. "No, I can't move. I have to wait for the doctor," she said.
"Don't take advantage of the situation, Victoria," Lü Xijue frowned in anger.
"I'm pregnant!" Victoria shouted in pain.
Dylan was taken aback. He suddenly remembered something that happened at the bar some time ago. After a brief moment of contemplation, he quickly called an ambulance. A few minutes later, the ambulance arrived. Meanwhile, Brandon was on the phone with Grayson. "Is everything resolved?" he asked. "Yes, but I'm curious. You were the one who bought it, why did you make me be the good guy? Don't you know that Victoria was so grateful to me that she treated me like a benefactor?" "It's none of your concern," Brandon replied, frowning. Victoria still felt grateful to him? Just then, Elijah rushed in. "Sir, something's wrong. Miss Victoria seems to have been injured and taken to the hospital." "What?" Brandon stood up abruptly. "She was fine just now." "It just happened." "Which hospital did she go to? Take me there." "Yes." When they arrived at the hospital, Victoria's face was covered in sweat. She looked at the doctor with a worried expression and grabbed his arm. "Doctor, what about my child? How is my child?" "It's okay. I've given you the injection. It seems that your child is fine. You need to stay calm." Victoria felt relieved, but she still couldn't completely relax. "Really...then why does my stomach hurt a little?"
"Having an impact after falling is certain, but don't worry, rest well, the child is not that fragile," Victoria breathed a sigh of relief.
It was only then that she noticed Dylan's complicated gaze beside her. He looked at Victoria and asked, "Whose child is it?"
Victoria lowered her head and murmured, "It's none of your business."
"Last time I asked if you were pregnant, you denied it,but you lied to me. You really are pregnant. Whose child is it?" Dylan pressed.
Victoria raised her head slightly and said, "It's not yours, so why do you care?"
"Is it your husband's?" Dylan asked.
Victoria's fingers moved, but she denied it and said, "No, let's just say the child is mine. The child almost died because of Erica. You don't want me to go around telling people that she almost became a murderer. Please don't tell anyone about this."
"You..." Dylan couldn't understand, but he looked deeply at Victoria and said, "Then are you not going to tell your family? The child doesn't have a father. Are you going to raise the child alone? Why not just get an abortion?"
Victoria looked at him bitterly and said, "I have no family. My biological father is a scumbag who didn't want me. My adoptive parents sold me to someone for 30 million yuan to be their wife. Now I have a child, and he is my only relative. Are you asking me to abort him? No, I want to give birth to him."
Dylan's heart sank as he looked at her. He moved his mouth but felt inexplicably irritable. "Okay, I promise you that I won't tell your parents about this, but as an exchange, I hope you won't mention the plagiarism incident again," Dylan said. Victoria glanced at him and said, "In the end, you will still stand on Erica's side, even if the evidence is conclusive."
"You..." Dylan's eyes flickered. "She has suffered so much and lost weight outside all these years. Naturally, she wants to perform well when she comes back. Besides, she started in design halfway and has been working hard. After all, you have studied longer than her..."
"Okay." Victoria nodded. "I promise you, this matter ends here."
Erica really understood Dylan.
She was about to get up, but Dylan quickly came to protect her. "Don't move around. The doctor said that although the baby in your stomach is still okay, you can't move around casually. If you move and cause premature labor, how can you be a mother?"
Outside...
Elijah looked at Brandon standing on the side with a stiff expression.
What on earth was going on?
Madam is pregnant?
They had just arrived and unfortunately heard Dylan's inexplicable words. Elijah didn't even dare to look at Brandon's expression anymore.
Brandon stood there, seeming to slowly turn into a sculpture. He looked like he had no expression, but those ink-black eyes made people feel chills all over.
He turned and walked out.
Elijah hurriedly said, "Sir, we may have misunderstood something."
Brandon said, "Go to the hospital and ask why she came in."
Elijah went to ask, but in just a few minutes, he walked in slowly like a frost-bitten eggplant.
Brandon sneered, knowing exactly what Elijah was going to say without him even opening his mouth. After resting in the hospital for a while, Victoria received a call from Brandon.
"Brandon."
"Where are you?"
"I'm...at the company, about to head home."
"At the company...so busy."
"Yes...just handling some things." She replied with some perfunctory words and hung up the phone, feeling guilty and anxious.
Feeling like she had rested enough, she quickly left the hospital and returned to the villa.
The villa was eerily quiet today. She quietly entered and changed her shoes. "You're back."
Victoria was startled, seeing Brandon sitting on the sofa without making a sound.
"Why didn't you make any noise? You scared me." Victoria patted her chest and walked in, looking at Brandon with his usual expressionless face. "What are you doing sitting here so late?"
However, the next moment, a medical case was thrown directly in Victoria's face.
