Chapter 65 Setback at work

Chapter 65 Setback at work
"What do you mean by saying that I'm a newcomer who likes to take shortcuts? You should know that if there is any trace of plagiarism found when you're just starting out, your future will be ruined," Victoria sneered at Holly.
"You think that just because someone else does something well, it's plagiarism. The imagination of our seniors is getting worse and worse," Victoria continued.
"What did you say?" Holly
exclaimed. Victoria didn't give her face and picked up her bag and walked out.
Yesenia hurriedly came from behind, "Victoria, why did you offend her? Let me tell you secretly, our company's CEO is her father."
Victoria was surprised for a moment, "No wonder she's so arrogant. Anyway, I've already offended her. I'll just deal with it when I see her next time."
However, at the meeting the next day, the supervisor praised Holly and said, "I have reviewed everyone's proposals, and we have decided that our designer Holly will be in charge."
Victoria was taken aback, but then she saw Holly standing proudly in front of everyone, smiling and nodding. "All other designers will follow Designer Holly's arrangements and cooperate with her work. The meeting is adjourned," Holly said.
Holly walked over to Victoria and said, "Victoria, your design is okay, but there are still some major problems. Starting tomorrow, work with me to design well. If we win the bid, I will consider giving you a larger share." "You..." Victoria was angry, but Holly just flicked her hair and walked out.
Yesenia came over and said, "Victoria, I'm used to it. That's just how she is. After all, the whole company belongs to her."
"Then why do we even need to design anything ourselves? Just let her do it," Victoria complained. "Can her garbage designs even be used? Let me tell you secretly, she probably bought her qualifications and doesn't know anything. But because her father is the CEO, she has the right to sign off on every design," Yesenia explained.
"It's so unfair!" Victoria was angry at the fact that her name was not included in the list of architects who designed the building, even though she had contributed to the design. She remembered how generous Brandon had been to promise her credit for her work.
Days had passed and Brandon had just returned home to find Victoria sitting in the kitchen, looking upset. She gulped down a glass of water and vented her frustration, "You bosses are all vampires, capitalists who only care about their own profits and don't care about the lives of the people below them."
Brandon was taken aback but soon realized what had happened. He chuckled and asked, "Did you get bullied at work?"
Victoria looked up, "You think my design is good, don't you? But they didn't let me be the lead architect. Instead, they chose the boss's daughter to be the lead architect and made me work under her. That means all my designs will have to be credited to her name."
Brandon shrugged, "Well, you can choose not to draw or just go along with it. Your company has more than one designer, right?"
Victoria sighed, "It's not that simple. You've never worked for a company before. If I don't draw or don't do well, I'll be eliminated. I'm still an intern and if I don't perform well, I'll be kicked out of the company. It took me so long to find this job." Brandon sneered, "It's your own choice. You thought working outside was so easy?"
Victoria was taken aback, remembering how she had refused to work at Huan Yu when Brandon had offered her the job. Brandon stood up and said, "Since it's your own choice, you have to deal with it yourself." "You...of course I know!" Victoria replied.
She didn't ask him for help. However, when he returned to the room, Brandon frowned and picked up the phone. "What's going on with Victoria's company? Take a look." Elijah murmured from under the covers, "Yes, sir." The next day, Brandon saw the company information and said, "They're bidding for the project around the Gulf engineering?" "Yes, many companies are bidding for the supporting buildings around the Gulf engineering, and their company is also among them." Brandon snorted and threw the information on the table. "Keep an eye on it. Victoria is still too young and naive, she doesn't have enough insight and doesn't even know when she's being taken advantage of." Elijah smiled and said, "Sir, you still favor the young lady." Brandon's face froze for a moment. "I just don't want her to embarrass me." Elijah wisely backed away. Victoria arrived at the company and, although unhappy, continued to draw. When it was time to leave work, President Gray came to Victoria and said, "There's a company party tonight, come with me." Victoria looked up and said, "But I don't know how to drink." President Gray replied, "You can learn to drink. Practice makes perfect." "No, I really don't know how."
President Gray furrowed his brow and thought for a moment before saying, "Well, you don't have to drink at the party. This is an industry gathering, and many companies bidding for the Cosmos Group project will be there. How will you know what other companies are up to if you don't go and see for yourself?"
Victoria could only nod at his words.
Following President Gray and Holly, Victoria looked up and saw someone inside the party.
It was Erica Shen, and she was here too.
Erica also saw Victoria and hesitated for a moment, but then seemed to understand something as she smiled and walked over.
"Victoria, what are you doing here?" she asked.
Holly was surprised to see Erica talking to Victoria. "Miss Griffin, do you know each other?" she asked, trying to be polite and flattering towards Erica, who seemed elegant and refined.
"Yes, we know each other. Victoria works for you, right? Are you also bidding for the Cosmos Group project?" Erica asked.
Victoria's face tightened. "Yes, I am. Even someone who steals other people's designs can participate, so why can't I?"
Holly was confused. "Victoria, what are you talking about?"
"I think you know what I mean, and so does she," Victoria said, squinting at Erica.
Erica, however, remained calm and looked at Victoria in surprise. "Victoria, why would you have such a misunderstanding? I know I started in design late, but I won an award before you did. I understand that you may feel unbalanced, but you can't just say things like that."
Victoria regretted submitting her design anonymously.
Holly noticed that there was some tension between the two and coldly said, "Miss Griffin is the future mistress of the Clark family and a rising star in the architecture design industry. It's normal for people to be jealous of her. Victoria, look at yourself before you compare yourself to Miss Griffin. You're just being a nuisance here."
Erica looked at her and glanced over at the corpulent and unattractive business manager on the other side, a hint of conspiracy flashing in her eyes.
"Victoria, I have something to tell you."
