Chapter 35 When Expectations Broke
Victoria trembled, "I wasn't ready for you to come. I was about to send them away."
"Send them away or stir up trouble?"
He didn't want to interfere, but he overheard her conversation with Diana when he arrived.
With a hint of disgust in his deep eyes, Victoria's heart sank.
"That was just me venting. You didn't take it seriously, did you?"
"I only believe what I see."
Brandon didn't want to look at her anymore, which made Victoria feel even worse.
Melanie still didn't understand what was going on. "Who are you, blondie?"
Brandon's cold eyes looked over, making Melanie feel uneasy.
"You're causing a disturbance here. Do you not see that you can't afford it? Elijah, I don't want to see these people again."
"Yes, sir."
Elijah's eyes narrowed as he quickly approached.
Melanie immediately shouted, "What are you doing? Do you want to hurt me? Be careful, or you'll be stuck with me for life. If anyone touches me, they'll have to take care of me for the rest of their life."
She pulled out her usual tactics and lay down on the ground. A hint of mockery appeared on Brandon's lips, "You want me to take care of you for life? Just a touch doesn't seem enough. Elijah, since she wants us to take care of her for life, let's fulfill her wish. Break her limbs so she can lie in bed for the rest of her life."
"What?" Melanie never expected that the usual approach that worked for most people didn't work on Brandon's.
"You...you dare not scare me. You dare not hit me?"
Carson, however, realized that something was different. "Let's go," he said anxiously. "I don't think this person is easy to deal with. Let's forget it." "Why forget it? You useless man, you gave birth to a useless daughter. She despises you for being a carpenter. She wishes she were the daughter of the Griffin Family, but she's not."
She pushed Carson to the ground.
Brandon glanced at Victoria, frowned slightly, and didn't want to listen to them quarrel anymore. He said directly, "Aren't you going to do anything?"
The people who followed him were not weak like the servants in the villa. They were muscular bodyguards who walked forward one by one. Their fierce faces made people believe that they could kill if necessary.
"You...you dare not. I don't believe it," Melanie said nervously.
Victoria looked at her coldly. "When you came to cause trouble, did you even bother to ask whose place this is? He is Brandon, haven't you heard of him?"
Melanie was stunned.
The young and handsome man in front of her was the richest man?
So, not only could he afford to break the limbs of her entire family, he could also afford to raise them. In an instant, Melanie was dumbfounded.
Carson's legs gave out and he knelt down. "We didn't know, we really didn't know it was the billionaire..."
Melanie's face turned pale and she trembled as she said, "It was my mistake. Please don't hit me. I was just playing around. I didn't do anything. I won't do it again."
Brandon was annoyed by the noise and gave Elijah a signal. Elijah didn't hesitate and quickly pulled everyone out.
Victoria pursed her lips and watched him handle everything efficiently. She said, "Brandon, I really didn't instigate them to come. I don't know..."
"I don't want to hear your explanation," Brandon interrupted her, not even bothering to look at her. He turned around and looked at Diana, who was in a mess. "Call someone to clean up and you go inside."
Diana was naturally overjoyed. She glanced at Victoria, who was pale, and proudly tossed her messy hair. Unfortunately, she didn't realize how bad her makeup looked on her face. When she smiled at Brandon, it was a bit scary. She thought she was beautiful, standing there posing, but Elijah couldn't help but feel repulsed. Fortunately, Brandon seemed to have noticed and turned his head with a frown. Victoria stood still and watched as he took care of Diana and came out. She said, "Brandon, if I had brought them here to make trouble, would they still say those things about me? Didn't you hear what they said about me?"
"Victoria, that's enough. I've said it before. I only believe what I see. We have no other relationship, and you don't need to explain anything to me. Our cooperation is over, and you can disappear from my sight. So, what kind of person you are has nothing to do with me."
After speaking, Brandon walked out without looking back. Victoria watched his cold and indifferent figure disappear through the door, biting her lip. He was such a cold and detestable man. Diana looked at herself in the mirror and was startled. "Ah...why do I look like this?" She had appeared in front of Brandon just now with such a ghostly appearance. She was already jealous of Victoria's natural beauty, but now with her face dirty and compared to Victoria’s clean and pure appearance, the contrast was even more stark. But it didn't matter. Brandon didn't seem to mind her appearance, which meant that he loved her for her inner beauty. Feeling indignant, she went outside and saw Victoria still cleaning up the mess. This only made her more angry.
"Why are you still here?" Diana asked.
"I was told to clean up the mess," Victoria replied calmly. "This place is a mess, so I'm having someone clean it up."
Diana laughed sarcastically. "Oh, so you're here to be a maid. Well, clean this and clean that. I don't want to see a speck of dust. If I do, you'll regret it."
Victoria glared at her and threw the cloth down. "Diana, who said I'm here to be your maid? I'm only cleaning up because my situation has caused trouble for you. And let me tell you, Brandon is not yours. He may be kind to you, but you're just a tool to him. Don't think you can get away with disrespecting me. I'll tell him everything."
Brandon eyes flickered. "Do you really think he'll believe anything you say? You're so full of yourself."
"Yeah, he believes everything I say. That's how much he loves me. Look, I told him you sent them to find me, and he believed it, didn't he?"
"And you also said you got a million from me, right?"
