Chapter 26 Have you been drinking?

Chapter 26 Have you been drinking?
His grip on her hand tightened visibly, causing her a faint pain. Her beautiful eyebrows furrowed in discomfort, and the more she struggled, the tighter he held on.

"Brandon," her voice trembled.

"What's the name of that man?" Brandon had already investigated everything about her and naturally knew that the man was Dylan, her childhood sweetheart.

"What man?" Victoria replied, trying to hide the truth.

"Don't lie to me," Brandon's gaze grew colder as he leaned in closer.

"That's all in the past," Victoria said, looking at this despicable man with anger. Did he have to force her to reveal her scars?

"Do you think everyone is like you, with all those strange women outside?" Victoria retorted.

What strange women?

Brandon wasn't even thinking about himself at this point. He saw her arguing with that noblewoman and smelled the alcohol on her.

"Who did you meet today?" he asked.

Looking at his expression, Victoria's heart ached.

This man was too despicable, always forcing her.

"What does it matter who I met? Aren't you supposed to be getting a divorce from me? I'm just your fake wife on paper!" she said, her gaze flashing.

His handsome face drew closer to hers, "So you went to drink with your ex-lover?"

She was forced to the innermost part of the car, with no way to retreat. Elijah was still watching, but dared not say anything. He had the car pulled over to the side. Although he sympathized with Victoria, he couldn't bear to look at her and could only silently exchange glances with the driver before exiting the car.

In the cramped car, only Brandon and Victoria remained. She pressed against the car door, staring at the man leaning towards her, emitting a faint anger that made it impossible to look directly into his pitch-black pupils.

Why was he so angry? Victoria didn't understand. She pushed his chest in surprise and said, "Let go of me, let go."

"Heh, you don't like me touching you? Do you wish that the boy with barely any hair was in front of you instead of me? What were you doing in the bar just now? Did he hold you, touch you, and grope you like I did?" His voice was soft, but every word he spoke gave people a bone-chilling feeling. The car lights passing by outside shone on his perfect profile, which was supposed to be pure and beautiful, but now had a chilling expression.

His cool fingertips touched her arm, causing goosebumps to rise. He slowly traced her delicate skin, and she trembled slightly, her voice weak, "How could that be? You're talking nonsense. Let go of me, don't touch me."

He stared at her lips and suddenly pressed down on them forcefully.

"Don't allow it? No one has ever dared to say that to me." Victoria was completely stunned.

Her fingers dug deep into his leather seat, leaving long marks. Even after he released her, she remained in shock.

Brandon rubbed his lips against hers and held her chin, looking at her intently. There was no hint of alcohol on her breath, indicating that she hadn't had too much to drink.

"Even though you're only my wife in name, don't let me catch you fooling around with other men. Neither you nor that man will have a good ending, understand?" he said, squinting his eyes.

Brandon looked bewildered until her chin began to ache, then she finally understood. Even though they were only married in name, Brandon's possessiveness and pride wouldn't allow her to have any flaws in this regard.

She nodded obediently, her sharp tongue now tamed. Her compliance improved Brandon's previously bad mood.

Releasing her, he said to the people outside, "Alright, let's go back to the car."

The driver and Elijah exchanged a bitter look, feeling helpless, but they still got into the car obediently.

As Victoria watched the car drive towards the villa, she suddenly remembered something. "But how did you come here? Were you looking for me?"

Brandon's expression stiffened slightly, but he remained calm. "Just passing by."

"Passing by?" Victoria nodded in understanding. "What a coincidence."

She realized that he couldn't have come to find her.

Elijah sat in the passenger seat, stealing a glance at Brandon's expressionless face through the rearview mirror. He naturally didn't dare to reveal his boss's true intentions.

After realizing the misunderstanding, the husband of the family didn't ask anyone to bring Victoria back. He seemed upset all day and suddenly announced that he was going out in the afternoon. He drove around the streets for a while before finally seeing Victoria. He said, "I just happened to pass by."

Victoria said, "By the way... I didn't mean to break your piano. I'm really sorry. I'll work hard to earn money and buy you a new one."

Brandon's expression didn't change when Victoria brought up the piano. He just moved his hand slightly, which was resting by his side. "Okay. Then come back and draw for me properly. Earn some money and then buy the piano."

Victoria exclaimed, "Do you want me to come back?"

Brandon turned his head expressionlessly and said,"Where else can you earn money to buy a piano?"

Victoria was stunned. "But I found a job at Heidi's house."

Brandon frowned and sneered, "Huh, you just started working here for a few days and now you want to find a job somewhere else? With that kind of indecisiveness, do you still want to be a good designer?"

"I'm not like that," Victoria quickly defended herself.

Brandon glanced at her with displeasure and said coldly, "Don't go there. And with the amount of money you'll get from the Miller Family, you won't be able to save enough money to buy a piano in your lifetime."

Victoria's face turned gloomy. He really wanted her to pay for the piano. "How much does the piano cost?"

"Three million," Brandon thought for a moment and didn't say it was too high.

But Victoria's little face had already collapsed completely.

"So expensive!"

Does she really have to sell herself to him to afford it?

Brandon looked at her expression, turned his face to the side, and his lips curled slightly where she couldn't see.

When they arrived at the villa, Victoria saw that the annoying Finley was gone.

She was once again arranged to stay in her original room.

At night, she returned to the room and found that it had been locked.

She still wanted to see what brand of piano it was.

She wanted to save money to buy one like it. At this moment, Elijah walked over from behind.

"Assistant Wang, I have no intention of going in."

Victoria quickly said.
