Chapter 112 Obey your every word
Brandon looked skeptical. "Why do we need to go shopping if you just tell us what gifts you want?"
Elijah patiently explained, "Sir, there's a different feeling and meaning when you personally go shopping for gifts. You may not enjoy it, but women do." Well, women can be quite troublesome.
The next day, Victoria had just woken up and was planning to go to work when she saw everyone getting ready to go out. Brandon was at the front.
"You're awake. The plane is ready, and I'm taking you to Ning City for a little trip."
"What?"
"The scenery there is beautiful, and you can relax and soak up some sun at the beach. It's good for your health to get some sun." He smiled and touched her translucent white skin.
Victoria was taken aback. "But I want to go to work."
"Elijah has already informed them, and your current condition isn't suitable for work." Victoria wanted to argue, but Elijah kept giving her signals from the side.
Seeing that everyone was ready, Victoria felt like she couldn't refuse. She could only nod. "Okay then."
Muttering to herself, she followed Brandon outside.
Looking at him, Victoria asked, "Why are you suddenly being so nice to me? Is it because you feel guilty?"
Brandon didn't answer. "Is it wrong to apologize?"
"Money talks louder than sweet words." Victoria didn't care about Brandon's kindness, she wanted something practical.
Brandon was confused for a moment before he understood what she meant.
"Oh, I can give you this card."
"..."
Victoria looked at the black card he handed her.
"You'll give it to other women after me? No thanks."
"This is the main card, not the supplementary card."
Victoria was stunned, her eyes unconsciously moved. He was giving her his main card?
The supplementary card had a credit limit, but the main card had no limit...
"Aren't you afraid I'll spend all your money?" Victoria couldn't help but ask.
Brandon just smiled faintly, "If you have the ability, go ahead and spend it."
"..."
Victoria suddenly felt insulted.
But, it seemed to be true...
He was the richest man, and a very wealthy one at that. Who knew how much money he had.
Victoria snorted, but still returned the card. Although the temptation of money was great, she still wanted to divorce him. She didn't want to be indebted to him.
"This is something you don't want." Brandon looked at her unexpectedly.
"I can earn money myself, I don't need your card. When I become a great designer like Lawrence, I can design a building and earn billions!"
He smiled, "Okay, I believe you'll have that day."
His tone was perfunctory, and he really didn't have any talent for praising others.
But she didn't care.
Meanwhile, Diana returned to the Wanjing Villa, only to find that Brandon still ignored her. Did she have the child for nothing?
It was all because of Victoria. She had discovered that Diana was with another man, otherwise the child could have stayed a little longer.
She thought about contacting Brandon, but the butler answered the phone instead.
"Where's Brandon?" she asked in surprise.
"Sir took the young lady out. He's been out a lot lately," the butler replied. What?
Diana was completely drained.
They went out together? Ning City was a famous resort city, so did he take Victoria on vacation?
As Victoria and Brandon got off the plane, they were greeted by Heidi waving at them.
"Victoria."
"Heidi?" Victoria said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
Grayson followed behind and said, "What, do you think we're interrupting your alone time? Don't worry, you guys have fun, we won't disturb you."
"It's not that...did you bring her here?" Victoria asked in surprise. Grayson glanced at Brandon beside him and said, "Yeah, Brandon was afraid you'd be bored, so he asked me to bring her along. I had no choice but to come."
Heidi linked arms with Victoria and said, "Great, let's share a room then."
Grayson protested, "What nonsense! They're a couple, and you want to intrude. It's already good enough that you came. Don't push your luck."
But Victoria held onto her and said, "It's okay, let's share a room."
Brandon spoke up firmly from behind, "No, we can't."
Victoria turned back to him and said, "What are you doing? You know I'm not feeling well."
He couldn't be so shameless as to do something with her at this time. No way, she would never let him touch her again!
Brandon looked at her and said, "I know, that's why I want to take good care of you." He pulled her towards him, his expression dominant.
Heidi swallowed and said, "Okay, okay, since President Duncan is reluctant, let's forget it."
Victoria could only grit her teeth and look up at this man who seemed more gentle in expression but more domineering in behavior than before, unsure of what he wanted to do.
The group eventually entered the room.
Cosmos Group had booked two villas for them, one for themselves and one for Heidi and Grayson.
Heidi grumbled, "Why do I have to share a villa with you? There are plenty of other villas in the resort."
This vacation resort had dozens of villas owned by Ava, so they couldn't have all been fully booked.
Grayson said, "Our villa has two rooms, one for you and one for me. It's not like we'll be sharing a bed, so you should be the one worrying."
"Pfft, are you saying that I'll barge into your room? No way, I'm not that reckless. I'm very particular about looks, and besides, you're five years older than me. I'm not interested in old men, I only like younger guys who are smaller than me!"
"You..."
The two of them bantered back and forth before leaving and tidying up their rooms. They then went out to eat together.
Brandon cleared his throat and said, "I heard that girls like to go shopping. Where do you like to go? I can take you there."
Victoria looked at him in surprise. Heidi immediately chimed in, "Of course, we prefer the more expensive...cough, I mean, the more luxurious places that suit President Duncan's style. But we don't really mind."
But in her heart, she was ecstatic and secretly messaged Victoria on WeChat, "President Duncan is treating us today, we have to buy something amazing! Wow, I didn't expect President Duncan to be so good to you!"
Good?
It's probably just compensation for feeling guilty.
"What's so good about it?" Victoria replied.
"Why not? I feel like he's listening to everything you say," Heidi said.
Victoria really wanted to snap her out of it and ask what gave her that impression.
After eating, Heidi happily took Victoria shopping. They went all out at the mall, with Brandon and Grayson following behind like bodyguards. Although they didn't participate, they were there the whole time.
