Chapter 104 Still Mindful
"Victoria said, 'It's okay, Brandon won't touch you after what he said, so you can rest assured.' Diana's mouth twitched as she looked at Victoria with anger. Victoria looked up at Brandon with a gentle expression and said, 'Isn't that right, husband?' The word 'husband' made Brandon feel a little ticklish. He frowned at Victoria, wondering what this woman was up to. Victoria thought to herself that this ice block didn't know how to cooperate with her even at a critical moment, how boring. She pulled him to sit down on one side and said, 'You've had a long day, husband, sit down and rest.' Then she looked up and said to the two of them who were watching them, 'Mother-in-law, Miss Evans, please sit down. If you need anything, just sit down and say it. Miss Evans, especially you, you're pregnant, so treat this place as your own home and don't be polite.' Diana couldn't refute her for a moment. She could only say, 'It's okay... I'm still pretty healthy, I just feel like vomiting... but I asked someone, and they said that those with big reactions might have a boy.' 'A boy, then he'll be our eldest grandson,' Lisa exaggerated. Victoria, however, remained expressionless and sat on the side, looking at the fruit next to her. She picked up some lychees, nodded, and peeled them before putting them in front of Brandon. 'Husband, have some lychees.'"
Brandon lowered his head and looked at her deeply, but in the end, he opened his mouth and bit the lychee in her hand, eating it. "Good boy," Victoria smiled and pinched his arm, snuggling up to him intimately.
Diana gritted her teeth and hugged the pillow in her arms, which had already changed shape unconsciously.
Brandon looked at her like this, with her soft body leaning against him, and found a comfortable position to snuggle up together.
He couldn't help but feel hot as her fragrance wrapped around him. Diana looked at Brandon, surprised that he didn't resist or push her away, letting her have her way.
How could he spoil Victoria like this?
Victoria continued, "By the way, Miss Evans, where do you feel uncomfortable?"
Diana snapped out of her thoughts and wanted to glare at her fiercely, but couldn't bring herself to do it.
"It's just a little unstable fetal heart rate, and the baby is a bit restless. I've been feeling nauseous, and..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Victoria suddenly exclaimed.
"Ah...what are you doing?"
Everyone was shocked to see Victoria looking at Brandon with a shy expression. "Stop it, don't move around outside. There are so many people watching, it's not good if my mother-in-law sees it."
"......" Brandon looked bewildered, not knowing what expression to make in front of Victoria. Diana, who was interrupted, visibly sank in her face. Did Brandon really lose control and make advances towards Victoria outside? This couldn't be true. He was always very reserved and never showed any interest in women. How could he lose control like this with Victoria? Brandon quickly noticed the strange looks from the people around them. Even he, who was usually taciturn, understood what they were thinking. Victoria deliberately called out to them just to make them listen! And he was used as a tool by Victoria. Brandon pursed his lips and glared at Victoria. Victoria secretly pursed her lips, but seeing Diana's expression, she felt satisfied. She quickly hugged Brandon's arm and said, "Then let's rest here tonight." Brandon wanted to take her in and question her about what she was up to. So he agreed immediately. Victoria smiled and pulled Brandon towards the inside. "Let's go back quickly, I'm so tired."
Watching the two disappear into the living room, Lisa couldn't help but curse, "What a despicable person! I've never seen anyone so despicable!"
Diana was both angry and aggrieved, and had already cursed Victoria from beginning to end in her heart.
Victoria followed Brandon into the room, and as soon as they entered, Brandon grabbed her collar fiercely.
"What are you doing?"
Victoria's eyes widened, "Of course I'm venting. If they don't want to see something, then I have to show it to them. Didn't you see Diana's face? It's even darker than the bottom of a pot. And your stepmother, she must be cursing me in her heart."
"Then why did you call out just now?"
"I...your acting skills are too poor, so I had to improvise."
"So you're just using me as a tool?" He approached dangerously. "No, no..." Victoria kept backing away. "That's not it..."
Was he doing this because he didn't want to be used as a tool? Or was he still concerned about her, even though they had broken up?
Maybe he had feelings for her, and even though they had separated, he still couldn't bear to see her hurt.
Just then, Victoria suddenly heard a faint sound from outside.
Although the sound was small, Victoria heard it.
Was someone eavesdropping outside?
Victoria suddenly signaled to Brandon, telling him that someone was outside.
Brandon was stunned, while Victoria's eyes flickered before she suddenly moved forward and hugged him by the neck. Brandon was pushed onto the bed by her sudden move. She smiled at him and shouted loudly outside, "Honey, what's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?"
"..."
Brandon's pupils widened.
"You can't do this. If you do, I will make noise and people will hear us," she teased him while rubbing against him.
But she saw the man beneath her staring at her in disbelief, as if he had seen a ghost.
Victoria quickly lowered her voice and whispered in his ear, "Just play along. Your acting skills are terrible."
Brandon's eyes flickered slightly, and he rolled over, pressing Victoria down.
Victoria was stunned, but she felt her hands being grabbed by him and lifted high above her head.
"I never act. If I want it, I want it for real," he said.
What?
Victoria's eyes widened again. Did he really want her?
Outside, Diana, who had heard the commotion, pressed herself against the wall and felt even more jealous. How come she had never noticed how good Victoria was at seducing people? For so many years, she had been with Dylan, pretending to be so pure and innocent, but it turned out that she had saved herself for Brandon.
Thinking about how she had used all sorts of tricks and still couldn't get close to Brandon, only barely managing to take off his clothes, but never getting his affection, and now he was inside with Victoria, she couldn't help but want to push the door open and kill Victoria, so that she could take her place.
