Chapter 101 Captured
When Victoria woke up, she found herself lying in a dirty and smelly corner for who knows how long. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Felix, who looked disheveled.
"Felix, what do you want?" she asked.
Felix had beer bottles scattered around his feet. "What do I want? You can see for yourself. You ruined my life. Heidi won't talk to me anymore, I failed my graduate exam, I got rejected by universities, my art exhibition fell through, and my family is being harassed. I can't go on living like this, so of course I'm going to take you down with me to hell."
Victoria sneered at him. "You forgot to mention one thing. The person behind you, who's manipulating you, isn't talking to you either."
Felix's expression changed. "How do you know that?"
"Only the guilty need to hide their tracks. If you weren't up to no good, you wouldn't be in this situation," Victoria replied.
He walked over to her angrily, grabbed her hair, and forced her to look up at him. "You're in my hands now, and you still have the nerve to say these things? Just wait to die here."
Victoria didn't believe him. "No, Heidi will notice I'm missing and call the police. You'll get what's coming to you."
"Hahaha, you wait and see. I bet no one will care about you. I've already checked on the Duncan Family, and your husband hasn't done anything. Who do you think you are?" Felix laughed.
Victoria was stunned. Brandon? Why would he care about her? Felix had the wrong person. She felt bitter inside but didn't say anything, just stubbornly leaned against the wall.
No one came to find her for days, maybe even weeks. Felix looked at Victoria with an evil grin on his face.
"You see, you thought too highly of yourself. You're going to die here and no one will even care," he taunted.
Victoria bit her lip. "Heidi probably thinks I went back to the Duncan Family, that's why she hasn't come looking for me. But I'm not like you, I have friends."
"What about your husband?" Felix laughed. "He's still going to work every day, and he seems even happier without you."
Victoria fell silent again, and Felix's satisfaction grew with each passing moment. He laughed maniacally, his face twisted with glee.
Meanwhile, Brandon had been working overtime at the company for two days straight. Grayson couldn't help but ask Victoria about it.
"Aren't you going to look for her?" he asked.
"She blocked my number after I did what I could. There's nothing else I can do," Victoria replied.
Grayson sighed. He knew how difficult it was for Brandon to act this way, but he couldn't help feeling a little sorry for Victoria .
"She hasn't talked to you in two days?" he asked. Victoria nodded, and Grayson decided to call her himself. However, what he heard on the other end of the line was...
The phone was also turned off. "Did she block me too? This is ridiculous," he said in surprise. He immediately called Heidi. "I'm busy working to earn money. You've been bothering me every night, and now you're calling during the day?" Heidi snapped.
"What has Victoria been up to these days?" he asked.
"Why are you asking about Victoria ? Didn't she go home? I haven't been able to contact her these past few days. I thought she was busy arguing with Brandon," Heidi replied.
"What?" Grayson looked up. Brandon stood up and snatched the phone. "Victoria isn't with you? When was the last time she contacted you?"
"The day before yesterday, in the afternoon. She said she finished work and was going to a gathering, and that was it..."
It had been two days, and she wasn't with Heidi or with him. His expression instantly turned dark. Where could she have gone?
"Send someone to find her. Check all the surveillance cameras near her location and see if there are any suspicious people," Brandon quickly ordered.
Soon, Elijah brought the investigation results. "Sir, this is not good. We found this person who appeared suspiciously near Miss's company," he said, showing a photo of Felix, who looked a bit different but they immediately recognized him.
"Felix..." Brandon's fingers crumpled the paper.
"Contact Felix," he said immediately.
In the room, Victoria , who hadn't eaten for two days, leaned against the wall and watched Felix, who was drunk across from her.
He sneered at Victoria , "Do you want some too?"
Victoria licked her lips. "No, I don't need to numb myself. I'm fine being sober."
"Hahaha, you don't need it? You're going to die here soon, and I'm so happy just thinking about it."
Victoria turned her head away.
"Look at how much of a failure you are. No one has come to check on you these past two days," he snickered as he leaned closer to her.
"You're wrong. I never wanted to rely on Brandon. He doesn't owe me anything, and we're not together," Victoria said.
"Haha, you're his wife, I checked," he said.
"Rich people like him and people like us are not on the same level. If you're trying to use me to find Brandon, you're barking up the wrong tree," Victoria said with a bitter smile. She didn't want to deal with this now, but Felix's phone suddenly rang. Felix hesitated, looking at the number before answering.
Brandon's low voice came from the other end. "Where is Victoria ?"
Felix's face froze for a moment, and then he looked at the phone again in disbelief before bursting into laughter. "Brandon, right? Victoria is with me, no mistake about that. Do you want to talk to her?"
"Bring her back safely. I can give you whatever you want," Brandon's voice grew even colder. Victoria 's dry lips parted slightly. Why did Brandon have to show up now? She thought he would be happy if she stayed away.
Felix's voice was smug. "I don't want anything. She hasn't eaten or drunk anything for two days. She won't last much longer. She's in my hands now. I want Duncan to come in person. If anyone else comes or if you call the police, you'll only see her dead body. When you arrive, I'll tell you what I want to do to you."
Brandon was silent for a long time. Victoria listened quietly, wondering if Brandon would really come. No, maybe he just wanted to know the address and then send someone to rescue her.
Grayson looked at Brandon as he hung up the phone and said quickly, "Let's send someone to rescue her."
"No, Victoria is in his hands. If we send someone, she might be hurt," Brandon said.
"What do you mean? Do you really want to go there yourself and listen to that psycho?" Grayson asked.
"She's pregnant," Brandon said. "If anything happens, the baby could be lost."
Grayson had nothing to say to that. "I said the baby isn't mine, but I won't let anything happen to it," Brandon added.
