Chapter 97

Chapter 97

"Alright," Jason didn't insist.

He shrugged, looked at me, and said, "Then I'll just have to come over every day to sweep the floor myself."

"This is my home."

"I know, but I just love helping people. No need to thank me too much." Jason replied.

After staring at him for two seconds, I helplessly handed him my phone.

Jason took my phone to connect it to the robot vacuum.

Jessica had just finished her shower and came out. Seeing the robot vacuum, she asked curiously, "Daddy, what are you doing?"

"This is a robot vacuum. Once it's connected to the phone, it can help Mommy sweep the floor."

When talking to Jessica, Jason's tone became much gentler.

Jessica was curious. "Can you teach me? I want to learn how to use it too!"

"Sure," Jason pulled Jessica over and patiently taught her.

I watched quietly from the side.

Jessica was smart and learned quickly, operating the robot vacuum with the phone herself.

After playing with it for a while, she yawned.

I said, "Jessica, go to bed. It's already late."

"Okay." Jessica nodded obediently.

My gaze fell on Jason as I said, "I need to rest, too. When you leave, remember to turn off the living room light and lock the front door."

After saying that, I went straight to my room.

After closing my bedroom door, I didn't know.

Jason didn't leave. Instead, he called out to Jessica, who was about to go to her room.

"Jessica, how about I sleep with you tonight?" Jason said with a smile.

Jessica looked him up and down and shook her head. "Sorry, Daddy, my bed is too small. You definitely won't fit. You should go home quickly. If you go home too late, Grandma Cooper will definitely worry about you."

Jason could only watch helplessly as Jessica quickly went to her room and decisively closed the door.

Jason looked around and finally walked toward the sofa with big steps.

His legs were long, making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep on the sofa.

But Jason still quickly fell asleep on the sofa.

The next morning.

I got up to prepare breakfast in the kitchen.

As soon as I came out of the bedroom, I saw Jason sleeping on the sofa. I was stunned at first, then frowned slightly.

There wasn't even a blanket on the sofa. Jason had just lain there all night.

It was already winter, and the nights were quite cold.

Jason hadn't woken up yet, but his body was curled up from the cold.

I shook my head, turned back to my room to get a new blanket, and carefully covered Jason with it.

Jason suddenly opened his eyes.

"Sue, good morning..." Before Jason could finish his words, he was interrupted by a sneeze.

We looked at each other, and I asked first, "Why didn't you go home last night? Sleeping here will definitely make you catch a cold."

"Where you are is home. Other places are even colder than here." After Jason finished speaking, he couldn't help but sneeze two more times.

I turned to get cold medicine and returned to the living room with it.

Jason was still nestled in the blanket. When he saw me coming, his eyes immediately lit up.

"Take the medicine first," I said.

"No, I want you to feed it to me." Jason looked at me pitifully and said, "I'm still a patient right now. You definitely won't make me take it myself, right?"

"If you don't take it, forget it," I said coldly, turning to leave with the medicine.

"Wait! I'll take it!" Jason quickly grabbed me and took the medicine.

Just then, Jessica woke up.

She was delighted to see Jason at home.

Jason took his toiletries to wash up.

I went to the kitchen to make breakfast.

Just as I brought the food to the table, Jason had already put on his suit and came out of the bathroom looking refreshed.

He winked at me and asked, "How about it? Handsome?"

"Jason, you're getting more and more narcissistic." I rolled my eyes.

"This is called confidence. Without this confidence, how could I make you my wife?" Jason answered matter-of-factly.

"Who said I'd marry you?"

"You'll marry me sooner or later."

"You..."

"Stop arguing! If we don't eat now, I'll be late for school!"

Jessica took a bite of her sandwich and couldn't help complaining about us.

I glared at Jason and stopped paying attention to him.

Jason took a bite of fried egg and immediately said, "Sue, your cooking is so good. Even just a fried egg, you can make it taste different from everyone else's! When will you agree to marry me? I'll definitely be so happy!"

Jessica covered her mouth and giggled.

I just gave Jason a speechless look and didn't bother responding.

Before leaving, I handed Jason two packets of medicine. "Today's medicine for lunch and dinner. Remember to take them after meals."

Jason smiled at me. "Sue, you're so good to me. I feel like even without taking medicine, my illness will get better."

"Oh, if you're not taking it, I'll put it away then." I pretended to take the medicine back.

"I want it. I want anything you give me." Jason grabbed my hand and naturally put the medicine in his bag.

I looked down at Jessica and said to Jason, "You take Jessica to school today."

There had always been rumors at Sunshine Kindergarten about Jessica not having a father.

Although I knew about it, I was powerless to do anything.

Now that Jason and Jessica had acknowledged each other, he should show his face there too.

Jason had no objections and nodded, "Sure."

The three of us walked into the elevator together. Jason smiled and said, "Sue, I'll pick you up for lunch at noon."

I ignored him. When we got to the underground parking garage, I immediately headed straight for my car.

After Jason dropped Jessica off at Sunshine Kindergarten, he specially got out of the car to bring Jessica to the teacher before leaving.

In a corner no one noticed, Victoria stared at the entrance of Sunshine Kindergarten.

She saw everything! Jason actually personally dropped Jessica off at school!

She had already made it so obvious. Why didn't Jason care at all? Did he really like that bitch Sue that much?

Victoria was so angry she almost ground her teeth to pieces.

She watched Jessica's figure from afar and suddenly showed a sinister smile.
