Chapter 30
Tara's POV
I saw her walk in, with her bag which she held gracefully. It's been days since after I poured her water. She avoided me like a plague.
As soon as our eyes met with each other , we both shared a displeased look at each other, her face scrunched into another frown, the fee people instantly recognized the both of us.
“Of all the malls to shop in, you decide to choose this one to shop for?” Stella's face was like one who had just seen a ghost.
“You don't own this mall, do you?” I asked her, looking her in the eyes.
“You don't belong here. You have no money of your own.” She added, she was right, I had nothing after I left Carlos but atleast I was not with the worst option.
“I don't need money.” I said, as I took out the black card from my bag.
*All I need is this and in one swipe, I'll be done.” I said raising the glass to hims, everyone gasped as they looked at me
At this rate the attendant looked at me with awe and a jaw dropping expression on her face.
As soon as she saw the name on the black card, she turned to me, still not convinced that I could now a black card under Hills Enterprise.
“It's fake! Is that how desperate you are?” Stella began, “ that you had to go and get a fake card from your boss? That's an impersonation!” Everyone turned to me and began to whisper amongst themselves,
“It's not fake! Atleast not the one real thing I have received in place of a friend like you!” I fired in my defense, Stella was taken aback by my utterance but I meant every word of it.
I looked at Stella, her hand shook, she then turned to the attendant who was beginning to lose focus on her judgment.
“I do not care about anything you say and that's why you seem dull and alone.” I said then turned to leave when the attendant dropped me,
“You should not leave this way,” she says. I turned to her.
“You humiliated me? Do you think I would come here to be insulted?” I asked, she instead stopped me, the jealousy on Stella's face was clearly visible but it was my turn this time to shower her with the stuff I am made off.
I walked out of the boutique, but the attendant rushed to me. Nobody wants to get in trouble with a big man like Andrews Hills.
“I'm leaving for another.” I said to the attendant, about to enter the car when Stella rushed up to me. The look she gave me wasn't a nice one at all,
“It's not over yet.” she says to me, I scoffed,
“It's far from over, Stella.” I wined up my glass, driving off to find another Mall, but not that. Anything but that.
I got to the mall, picked a dress, which fit perfectly, like it was the one for me.
I got out of the mall with the gown and other accessories I needed to go on with the look.
I got into the car, as my driver drove off to the house, I opened the door slowly to see Elliot and Andrew in the living room, which seems pretty weird .
“Our princess is back,” he said to me. I didn't know if I should be sad or grateful I was back home.
Nanny Dorothy walked in with a tray of wine, I looked at Andrew, he was not happy,
It was noon already, so I was wondering what these two were doing here all alone.
After Nanny Dorothy served him, I followed her to the kitchen,
“What's he doing here?” I asked her,
“Apparently, he followed Andrew on his way home.” She added, I bit my lips in confusion.
“Isn't it dangerous to know my place? To be honest I don't think i can stay here now he knows here.
“You'll be fine as long as I am here.” Nanny Dorothy says to me.
I walked out of the kitchen heading to my room when I heard him say,
“You know, you look alot like someone I know.” He began, I saw Andrew frown.
“Huh?”.
“You're just the perfect replica of her.”
Andrew turned to me,
“Head upstairs, I'll meet you there in a second.” he says to me.
My face held confusion as I wonder who was this girl, Nanny Dorothy also made mentioned of her while we were talking too.
“Who's this lady?” I asked Elliott, My curiosity getting the best of me.
Elliot smirked, like he was boldi me at the brink of my curiosity.
He turned to Andrew, “ she wants to know dear brother.” Andrew frowned.
“Can you quit this game you're trying to play?” He stood up abruptly, grabbed my wrist as we both climbed the stairs, the laughter of Elliot resonated everywhere.
“Let me go!” I told Andrew as soon as we got into the room.
“Who is this lady? You seize to tell me anything” I added, looking at him, he frowned.
His facial expression switched immediately to a small frown
His eyes held a lot of uncertainties on whether to tell me or not.
He walked to my bed, as he sits down on my bed, he sighs then breathes out,
“It's not that easy, Tara, “ he says lying on the bed.
I turned to him,
“You don't have to tell me if you can't bring yourself to tell me. I'd prefer you take your time to explain to me better” I said to him. He looked at me then smiled, as he sat up
“Give me your hands,” he says to me,
“What's with the smile on your face?” I asked him, as I hesitantly gave him my hands,
“You know whatever I chose not to tell you is because of your safety?” He began giving my hand a gentle squeeze.
“Yes, I do but_” He placed his hand on my lips. Seeing I was not buying this, he sighs then says.
“I hope you don't freak out?” He asked, I nodded.
“You look exactly like my Ex girlfriend.” My jaw dropped.
