Chapter 416 Wedding Trouble
"Mr. Robinson, Mrs. Robinson, don't worry. Everything's been arranged. You just rest up now. We've got the wedding pretty much ready to go."
Stefan stood beside Seraphina, respectfully updating Timothy and the others on the wedding arrangements.
Elizabeth nodded. "Good, that's good."
Stefan took Seraphina and the others to the hotel, then left to go over the wedding details.
Although they weren't having a big wedding this time, there was still a lot to prepare.
Mabel got the call that Elizabeth had arrived at the hotel. She happily grabbed her luggage, ready to go find Elizabeth.
Alfonso reached out and pressed down on the suitcase, looking especially helpless. "Mabel, where are you going?"
Mabel gave him a look like he was an idiot, acting like it was obvious. "To stay with Elizabeth, of course. I want to have a good chat with Elizabeth and Seraphina. Let go, stop holding down the suitcase."
Alfonso knew he couldn't talk Mabel out of it, so he could only sigh and help her with the luggage. "Alright, alright, I'll take you over."
Elizabeth's room was right next door. She opened the door to see Mabel and Alfonso, smiling as she let them in.
Before long, Timothy, Brandon, and Alfonso—all three men—were kicked out of the room.
A moment of silence.
"You can fly back on the wedding day," Timothy said coldly.
Brandon hadn't even reacted yet when he too was kicked out by Elizabeth.
"Daddy, I want to sleep with Mommy tonight."
"No, you're a big boy now." Timothy picked up Brandon to go book another room.
"Daddy, I'm not even five yet. I'm still a baby. I want Mommy."
"No, your mommy can only sleep with me."
Alfonso watched Timothy and Brandon arguing as they left. Alfonso snorted inwardly—childish.
Meanwhile, in the room.
After Elizabeth had sent Timothy, Brandon, and Alfonso out the door.
Mabel opened her suitcase and pulled out a wedding gift for Seraphina, her expression mysterious. "Seraphina, this is my wedding gift for you. You can study it tonight."
Seeing Mabel's mysterious manner, Seraphina couldn't help but smile. She took the gift with both hands. "Mabel, you're not giving me something weird, are you?"
Mabel blinked mysteriously. "You can open it now and see for yourself."
Seraphina opened the gift box with amusement and found a lace nightgown and a bottle of scented oil inside.
A moment of silence.
Seraphina's face immediately felt hot. She laughed. "Mabel, you really know how to pick gifts."
Mabel laughed heartily and patted Seraphina's shoulder. "It's your wedding night, after all. You've got to prepare something special. I picked these out carefully. Just use them without worry—you'll be satisfied!"
Elizabeth was also amused, teasing, "Mabel's good intentions—make good use of them."
Seraphina was teased by Elizabeth and Mabel until she shyly covered her face.
She was still a virgin!
Mabel and Elizabeth exchanged a smile.
Mabel held Elizabeth's hand. Seraphina had grown up and was getting married.
It seemed like in the blink of an eye, the children had all grown up.
---
Today, the sun was shining bright with blue skies and white clouds.
Seraphina and Stefan were holding their wedding on September 2nd.
Friends and family were gradually arriving.
Seraphina sat in the makeup room waiting, while Brandon kept changing angles with his phone, taking pictures of Seraphina.
"Brandon, are you tired? Want to sit down and rest?"
"Not tired, not tired."
Just as the wedding was proceeding smoothly, suddenly there was a commotion outside. A group of people was trying to force their way into the wedding venue.
Fortunately, there were security guards outside the wedding venue, so the group couldn't get in. But the good wedding atmosphere was still disrupted.
A middle-aged woman with completely white hair, Wanda, had tears in her eyes, followed by several men and women with equally angry expressions.
Wanda tried to force her way in while crying and shouting through a megaphone, "Stefan, my daughter died saving you! She's only been dead two years—just two years! And you're getting married without a care in the world!"
This sudden situation stunned all the guests.
Stefan had been chatting with guests. Hearing this voice, his eyes turned cold as he walked out of the wedding venue.
Wanda's emotions grew more agitated, her voice getting louder. "Stefan, how can you face my daughter? What gives you the right to get married so soon!"
Timothy's face had already turned terribly dark.
Damon had been talking with Timothy. Faced with this sudden situation, Damon was also dumbfounded.
Seeing Timothy's terrible expression, Damon cursed inwardly. He could only apologize first. "Mr. Robinson, there might be some misunderstanding here."
Timothy's lips curved into a cold smile.
Damon said awkwardly, "I'll go out and see what's going on."
Elizabeth and Mabel were both with Seraphina in the makeup room. They didn't know what was happening outside.
Elizabeth received a call from Timothy.
"Elizabeth, come out for a moment. Don't let Seraphina know."
"Okay."
Elizabeth hung up and put away her phone. "Mabel, you stay here with Seraphina. I'll step out for a bit."
Mabel nodded. "Alright."
Elizabeth left the makeup room and saw Timothy already standing at the door waiting.
"What happened?" She reached out to hold Timothy's hand as they walked outside.
"Someone's causing trouble." Timothy said flatly.
Hearing this, Elizabeth's face immediately turned cold. On such a good day—what terrible luck.
The two of them walked outside the venue to see Stefan confronting the troublemaker Wanda.
"Stefan, if my daughter hadn't saved you, she wouldn't have died! How can you get married now!" Wanda's emotions were still agitated, her voice filled with deep resentment.
Eleanor was her only daughter. Eleanor was smart and clever, and she died saving Stefan right in front of her.
Stefan's eyes were cold. He looked at Wanda and said calmly, "Ma'am, today is my wedding day. Please don't cause trouble on this occasion. If there's anything to discuss, we can talk privately."
But Wanda wouldn't listen. She continued crying through the megaphone, "If not for my daughter, you wouldn't be alive to get married! What gives you the right to marry today! How can you face her?"
Damon saw that Timothy and Elizabeth had come out. He ordered the security guards to take this group of wedding crashers to the police station.
"Let go of me! Let go of us!"
"Stefan, I curse you to be childless for life!"
"Don't touch me carelessly, or I'll accuse you of assault!"
The security guards grabbed the group and put them in cars. The scene became quite chaotic for a moment.
The moment Stefan saw Timothy and Elizabeth appear, he had an ominous feeling.
Elizabeth watched this scene coldly, her sharp gaze turning to Stefan.
Timothy said flatly, "Today's wedding is postponed."
He gripped Elizabeth's hand tightly.
Elizabeth noticed something seemed wrong with Timothy's body. She looked up at him, her gaze falling on his face as he shook his head slightly.
She reached out and wrapped her arm around his waist.
Timothy couldn't collapse today.
