Chapter 350: Reading Until Foolish

Chapter 350: Reading Until Foolish

When Seraphina heard that Stefan was going to give her the keys, she stretched her body with effort, "Okay."

After the two agreed on a time to meet tomorrow, Seraphina suddenly remembered that she was going to start work at Seraphina Enterprises.

Bringing up this topic made Seraphina, who was hiding her identity, feel a bit guilty.

She leaned closer to the camera, "I'm going to report to Seraphina Enterprises in a couple of days to work as the chairman's assistant."

"Congratulations," Stefan was genuinely happy for Seraphina, "I wanted to interview at Seraphina Enterprises before, but there were no openings. I didn't expect you'd be lucky enough to find one."

Seraphina smiled guiltily - she got in through connections, "Yes, very lucky."

Stefan thought about the internal power struggles at the Robinson Group and frowned slightly, "Good thing you're not coming to the Robinson Group."

Otherwise he would have to worry.

Seraphina asked curiously, "How are things at the Robinson Group? Is your boss easy to work with?"

Stefan smiled, "The work is manageable for now. Chairwoman Johnson is a fairly capable woman, but the Robinson Group's internal problems have been building up for a long time. To fix them, management needs both skill and time."

Seraphina nodded. Both Elizabeth and Timothy had analyzed the Robinson Group's problems with her.

After chatting for about an hour, both were satisfied and hung up.

As soon as Stefan hung up, he received a call from his mother.

He answered warmly, "Mom, what's up?"

Kennedy Hope's voice came through the phone, "Stefan, the housekeeper told me you're not living there. Don't you like it? If you don't like it, we can buy another house. You're really something - graduated and didn't come back to Majestic City, but went to Border Ridge City instead."

Stefan smiled, "Mom, don't worry, everything's fine here. No need to buy a house, I rented a place."

Kennedy said, "We already bought you a house in Border Ridge City, but you're not living there and renting instead? Stefan, did all that studying make you stupid?"

Stefan, accused of being book-stupid, twitched his lips slightly, "Not stupid. I have my reasons for renting. Mom, it's late now, you should get your beauty sleep."

Kennedy asked unwillingly, "Give me a reason - why did you go work in Border Ridge City? And why do you insist on renting?"

Stefan smiled gently, "Mom, you and Dad take care of yourselves and rest early. Good night."

After hanging up, Stefan breathed a sigh of relief.

When he met Seraphina at school, he knew her family's financial situation was average.

To avoid putting too much pressure on Seraphina for now, he chose to hide his family background.

Their relationship seemed stable at the moment.

If they could remain this stable after both starting work, then he could come clean without worry.

Kennedy looked at the phone that had been hung up on her and frowned. Stefan was definitely hiding something from them!

Early in the morning, Elizabeth and her family moved into Port City Garden.

In the morning, the family organized their luggage themselves without asking servants or housekeepers to help.

Even Brandon had to organize his own room.

His room was much smaller than his original one.

Of course, Brandon didn't care about the room size.

Seraphina knocked on the door and heard Brandon say to come in before pushing it open, "Brandon, I'll help you pack."

Brandon really felt that Seraphina was super, super nice, "Sister darling, thank you."

In this family, the baby was Brandon, and the darling was Seraphina.

Of course, in Timothy's eyes, there was another treasure in the family - Elizabeth.

At noon, Seraphina brought some local specialties to Seraphina Enterprises.

She didn't ask Jacob to come down to meet her, since for the foreseeable future she would just be an ordinary assistant.

Jacob had already notified the reception staff in advance.

After registering with security, Seraphina walked into the building and went to the front desk, "Hello, I'm Dione, here to deliver something to Mr. Grant."

She used the name Dione everywhere outside.

When the receptionist heard the voice, she thought it would be a delicate young woman.

When she looked up and saw Seraphina's figure, she mentally scolded herself for guessing wrong, but she had no attitude of looking down on others' bodies and said with a smile, "Dione, Mr. Grant is on the 30th floor."

Seraphina thanked her and went to wait for the elevator.

It was noon, when everyone went out to buy coffee and food, so there were quite a few people waiting for the elevator.

The elevator arrived at the first floor, and everyone lined up to enter.

Seraphina, carrying a large bag of specialties, was second to last to enter the elevator, and the last person to enter was Quinlan.

After Quinlan stepped into the elevator, the overload alarm went off.

This situation made Quinlan a bit embarrassed.

She turned to look at Seraphina and smiled, "Miss, it's overloaded. Why don't you wait for the next one?"

Quinlan sneered inwardly: Someone this heavy would definitely cause an overload.

Seraphina raised an eyebrow, her eyes quickly falling on Quinlan's badge. Quinlan was a new employee. Seraphina said calmly, "You were the last one in, so logically you should wait for the next elevator."

Quinlan's face changed slightly, looking somewhat uncomfortable.

The elevator kept beeping.

Seraphina smiled. Just as she was about to step out of the elevator, Demetrius Kramer, wearing a suit, walked out first, followed by two other men.

The elevator was no longer overloaded, and the alarm stopped.

Seraphina curiously looked at Demetrius who had stepped out first.

This Demetrius was extremely tall, probably 6.4 feet.

As the elevator door was closing, Seraphina saw that Demetrius had very sharp eyes and a cold face.

The elevator door closed.

Through the bright elevator door, Seraphina could still see Quinlan, who had just asked Seraphina to leave, blushing deeply.

Quinlan probably thought Demetrius had stepped out to help her save face.

The employees in the elevator gradually got off along the way.

Finally reaching the 30th floor, Seraphina stepped out of the elevator to see Jacob waiting for her outside.

"Seraphina, why did you bring so much stuff?" Jacob quickly took the things from Seraphina's hands, "If I'd known, I would have come down to meet you."

"It's okay, looks like a lot but it's not heavy." Seraphina smiled, "Mr. Grant, I'll be going now."

She was only here today to deliver the specialties.

Jacob nodded and smiled, "Okay."

Just then, an elevator opened.

The three men who had stepped out of the elevator on the first floor walked out.

Seraphina heard Jacob respectfully address Demetrius.

At this moment, Seraphina had no idea that she and Demetrius would have any connection in the future.
