Chapter 285 Want to Be the Third Party
A voice came through the phone, "The wedding has just started. We've arranged everything."
Alfonso narrowed his eyes slightly, a hint of coldness flashing in his gaze. "Good. Continue according to plan. Don't make any mistakes."
Silas sat obediently to the side, quietly watching Alfonso's every move.
Alfonso put down the phone and looked at Silas, his expression softening. "Silas, do you know what to do when you see Mabel later?"
Silas nodded his little head vigorously and smiled. "Dad, I know."
Alfonso showed a satisfied smile. Silas was really smart.
The car arrived at the venue of Mabel and Albert's wedding.
Alfonso pushed open the car door himself. After Silas got out too, Alfonso and Silas walked into the wedding venue hand in hand, big hand holding small hand.
Alfonso wore a suit, and Silas wore a little suit too. The big one and the small one looked very much alike.
At that moment, at the wedding venue.
Albert and Mabel stood on the platform, listening to the officiant's speech.
Suddenly, the projection screen on stage lit up, playing a high-definition video of a man and woman having sex.
The male lead in the video was none other than the groom Albert standing on stage right now. No one knew who the female lead was.
The guests instantly erupted in shock. The scene descended into momentary chaos.
The Sanchez family's faces turned dark.
Cassius quickly had someone turn off the projector, but the awkward atmosphere was already beyond saving.
Albert stood awkwardly on stage, his face looking terrible, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
Who was trying to mess with him!
Mabel frowned. She wasn't angry. She didn't care how many women Albert had. She was just worried about who was behind this.
Thinking it might be Alfonso, Mabel felt like crying.
She shouldn't scare herself. It couldn't be Alfonso.
The moment the high-definition video appeared, Timothy's expression remained calm as he turned Elizabeth's wheelchair around.
The wheelchair now faced away from the screen. They could only hear the sounds of collision as the man and woman had sex.
The woman's moans of pleasure sounded a bit fake.
Elizabeth actually wanted to watch too.
Unfortunately, Timothy had moved too quickly.
The projector was turned off.
The scene was awkward for a few seconds.
Mabel smiled and asked the officiant to continue.
No matter what, the wedding had to go on.
Hearing Mabel say to continue, Albert calmed down too.
So what if it was a video?
Everyone knew what kind of person he was anyway.
Seeing the wedding about to continue, Alfonso smiled faintly and walked in with Silas.
When Mabel saw Alfonso walking in slowly, she looked like she'd seen a ghost.
Mabel's face instantly turned ugly, her heart in chaos.
How did he get to Border Ridge City! Wasn't he supposed to go to Solstice? Did his mother Maya's side show some flaw?
Mabel was really confused.
The guests also noticed Alfonso and Silas's appearance.
At first, they thought they were friends or relatives of the Sanchez family, until they saw Alfonso and Silas walking toward the platform. Everyone sensed something was wrong.
Alfonso let go of Silas's hand and gently patted his head, his gaze tender. "Child, go ahead."
Silas nodded and walked up to the stage on his little legs. He walked up to Mabel, hugged her leg, looked up with tears in his eyes, his voice full of grievance and expectation. "Mommy! Don't you want me anymore?"
Mabel was even more confused.
The moment Timothy and Elizabeth saw Alfonso appear, they knew today's wedding probably wouldn't continue smoothly.
They looked at Silas on stage in shock, also completely puzzled.
Albert looked at Mabel in shock and asked in disbelief, "You have a child!"
Mabel almost fainted. "He's not my child."
She had never given birth!
Silas looked at Mabel with tearful eyes. "Mommy, why are you marrying this man? Daddy said our family should be together. Am I being bad?"
Mabel looked at the crying Silas, then at Alfonso standing below the stage. She pressed her lips together. This situation was getting hard to handle.
"I'm not your mother." She frowned.
"But you are my mommy." Silas cried even more pitifully.
Alfonso walked up to the stage and stood beside Mabel and Silas, his voice gentle. "Mabel darling, we're a family. We shouldn't be separated. No matter what happens, we should face it together. Do you want the child to grow up without a mother?"
Cassius looked at the family of three on stage with a dark expression. He had thought this would be a good marriage alliance, but now it was utterly embarrassing.
Mabel guessed that Alfonso had deliberately brought a child to disrupt the wedding.
She took a deep breath and tried to say calmly, "This child is not mine. Sir, please don't disrupt our wedding."
Alfonso smiled slightly, a hint of mockery in his eyes. "Mabel darling, he's the baby you carried for ten months and gave birth to. Saying this now, aren't you hurting the child's feelings?"
Mabel suppressed her anger. "Alfonso, can you please stop talking nonsense?"
Silas looked up at Mabel with red eyes. "Mommy, do you really not want me anymore?"
Mabel's temple throbbed.
She knew any explanation would be unclear.
Everyone was probably already suspecting Silas was her child.
The wedding was called off.
The Sanchez family saw the guests out.
Cassius, Albert, and their family all sat on the sofa in the lounge with unpleasant expressions.
Elizabeth and Timothy were there too, as were Mabel, Alfonso, and Silas.
Elizabeth watched this farce, never expecting Alfonso would bring a child to disrupt the wedding.
That was really ruthless.
Although Mabel and Albert had already gotten their marriage certificate, Elizabeth didn't know what other tricks Alfonso might have up his sleeve.
Mabel explained to the Sanchez family, "He's just my ex-boyfriend. As for this child, he really isn't mine."
Alfonso smiled and added, "Right, he's not our child."
His comment only made the Sanchez family more skeptical.
Albert's face was dark. He figured he'd be laughed at for a while.
Cassius also frowned in silence, clearly dissatisfied.
Timothy spoke up calmly. He looked at Cassius. "The little boy is definitely not Mabel's child. I'll take responsibility for the losses from this wedding. Albert and Mabel have already gotten their marriage certificate. If the Sanchez family has no objections, this marriage can continue."
By taking responsibility, Timothy obviously meant giving the Sanchez family good compensation.
Alfonso smiled faintly. "It's fine. I don't mind being the third party. After all, Albert is always finding women outside anyway."
Everyone was speechless.
This was the first time they'd heard a grown man say he wanted to be the third party.
Cassius quickly calculated the pros and cons. Looking at Alfonso's attitude, he said in a deep voice, "Sir, are you threatening the Sanchez family? Mabel has already married into the Sanchez family."
Alfonso's smile instantly disappeared, his tone cold. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Alfonso Carr. Although I can't do anything to the Sanchez family, I will often visit Albert for discussions."
Alfonso glanced at Albert lightly.
Albert, who had been angry, felt a trace of fear when he saw Alfonso's cold gaze.
Albert shrank back.
Albert felt like crying.
He never expected agreeing to this marriage alliance would be so unlucky.
A few days ago, he had been bragging to his friends about how great he was for being able to marry Mabel.
Today he was humiliated like this.
Mabel stood up and apologized to the Sanchez family. "I'm sorry about this. I didn't handle it well. Let me talk to my ex-boyfriend first."
Since things had already happened, Mabel didn't plan to drag it out.
She had already gotten the marriage certificate. That was a fact she had to face.
Cassius went from feeling embarrassed and angry at first to quickly calming down.
For the Sanchez family, this might not be a bad thing.
He knew Albert's nature wouldn't change. Albert definitely had plenty of women outside.
And Mabel seemed like she wouldn't care about that kind of thing. Continuing the marriage would benefit the Sanchez family.
However, the trouble was this Alfonso. If he came to make trouble from time to time, it would be very annoying.
The Sanchez family needed to discuss today's events.
The Sanchez family left the lounge.
Elizabeth gave Mabel an encouraging look. Timothy pushed Elizabeth out.
Alfonso also had his bodyguard take Silas out.
Only Mabel and Alfonso remained in the lounge.
Mabel spoke first. "Alfonso, I've already married Albert. That's a fact. If you keep making trouble, it'll just make things bad for everyone."
Alfonso slowly unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, a smile on his lips. "I'm not here to make trouble. I'm clearly here to offer myself as the third party."
