Chapter 198 Really Sweet

Chapter 198 Really Sweet

Freya wasn't happy.

It was because she was taking Emma's side.

Elizabeth said calmly, "It's Timothy from the Robinson family."

There was nothing to hide about this. She and Timothy had planned to publicly announce Seraphina's identity when they decided to get married.

Freya frowned. She turned to ask Emma, who looked quite dejected, "Emma, the woman Timothy treated you that way for back then—was that Elizabeth?"

Emma nodded helplessly and bitterly. She put down her scissors, "Godmother, I need to pick up Jane and Tommy from kindergarten later. I'll be going now."

"No rush, we're about to leave too." Freya put down her scissors. She glanced at Elizabeth coolly, then said to Calliope, "Calliope, we'll be going now."

Calliope smiled politely as she saw them out.

Only then did Calliope remember that Emma used to be Timothy's publicly acknowledged wife from the Robinson family.

And then there were Tommy and Jane.

Calliope didn't know if Elizabeth had been a homewrecker who stole someone's man. She couldn't judge these things.

The only thing certain was that Timothy loved Elizabeth.

After Freya and the others left, Calliope walked over to Elizabeth, "Ms. Penrose, I'm sorry."

If it hadn't been for Jake's interference, maybe Elizabeth and Timothy would have been together long ago.

But whenever she thought of Jake, who had already passed away, Calliope's expression darkened.

Elizabeth knew she couldn't stay here any longer. It was too awkward. "Mrs. Sherman, I'll be leaving now. Thank you for your help with Brice this time."

Before Elizabeth left The Sherman Mansion, Eugene had already placed two boxes of fruit in her trunk.

"Thank you."

After thanking him, Elizabeth got into the car. She told the driver, "Let's not go back to the office. Just go straight home."

On the other side, Freya, who had left The Sherman Mansion earlier, looked at Emma with furrowed brows.

"Emma, I've never asked you about this because I was worried that bringing it up would make you sad," Freya took Emma's hand, "Why didn't you tell me earlier that the woman back then was Elizabeth?"

"Godmother, I just felt that... since it's been five years, and everyone's doing fine now, there wasn't much point in talking about it."

Emma rested her head on Freya's shoulder.

Freya's face showed some anger. "Russell was right. Elizabeth is a scheming and manipulative woman."

Otherwise, how could Elizabeth have seduced Timothy and then Jake too?

Russell patted Freya's hand gently and tried to placate her helplessly, "Don't be angry. I only said she was decisive and ruthless in managing the company."

Freya glared at him.

Well, it meant pretty much the same thing anyway!

Russell replied helplessly, "I was wrong."

Either way, Freya's attitude toward Elizabeth, which had been fairly polite before, now turned somewhat disgusted.

Elizabeth had clearly known that Emma already had children and was Timothy's publicly acknowledged fiancée from the Robinson family, yet Elizabeth still chose to get entangled with Timothy.

Elizabeth was truly shameless.

Emma leaned against Freya's shoulder, lowering her eyelids, a smile in her eyes.

Emma would slowly make Freya despise Elizabeth.

Meanwhile, Russell kept pondering something—Elizabeth's face seemed familiar somehow.

As soon as Elizabeth walked into the living room, Seraphina, dressed in a little tiger costume, rushed over and hugged her leg.

"Mommy! I missed you so much!"

Elizabeth chuckled softly. It had only been one day apart.

"I missed Seraphina too."

She touched Seraphina's tiger hood.

There were five or six short clothing racks in the living room, hung with all kinds of children's clothes.

"What have you two been doing at home?" She dragged her leg attachment toward the living room.

Timothy smiled. "Bought some clothes for Seraphina. She's trying them on."

As soon as Elizabeth sat on the sofa, Seraphina poured a glass of water and brought it to her. "Mommy, have some water."

Little Seraphina was so thoughtful.

Elizabeth took the glass and drank. Even though it was just plain water, it tasted a bit sweet.

Timothy leaned over and, following her grip on the glass, took a sip too.

Elizabeth laughed and patted him. "Mr. Robinson, behave yourself."

Seraphina blinked, covering her mouth as she giggled.

Although Seraphina didn't quite understand what Timothy and Elizabeth were doing, it didn't stop her from laughing.

"Seraphina, go try on some clothes and show me." Timothy coaxed Seraphina away.

"Okay." Seraphina loved dressing up. She hopped and skipped over to pick out clothes.

Timothy picked up a cushion to block Seraphina's view, then gently kissed Elizabeth.

He put the cushion down.

Elizabeth glanced at the cushion—useful tool. "Should we start looking for a kindergarten for Seraphina?"

"Should we wait a bit longer?" Timothy planned to let Seraphina adjust to the living environment here before sending her to kindergarten.

"It's fine. We can find a good kindergarten first."

Just as Elizabeth finished speaking, they heard Seraphina calling for mommy and daddy to save her.

They turned around nervously, only to see Seraphina's head stuck in a piece of clothing.

Seraphina struggled and flailed, trying to get her head out.

A moment of silence.

Timothy quickly walked over to rescue Seraphina.

Seraphina blinked, looking silly. "My head is too big. What should I do?"

Timothy stroked his chin, considering seriously. "Should I help you put it on?"

"No, I'm a girl. I need mommy." Seraphina grabbed her dress and went to find Elizabeth.
