Chapter 172 Hundred Days Banquet 4
Just as Elizabeth's mind went blank.
A hand reached out and steadied her waist.
"Elizabeth, you scared me to death," Jake said, supporting Elizabeth and holding her waist, his brow furrowed with concern. "Are you okay?"
Thank goodness he got there in time.
Otherwise...
Armando, who had also shouted a warning just moments ago, was a step too late. He stood behind them, watching.
Juniper and the others saw Jake, disguised as Timothy, holding Elizabeth, and froze for a moment.
Albert walked forward a few steps with a smile. "Mr. Robinson, thank you. If you hadn't helped, my woman would have fallen."
"Your woman?" Jake asked, his tone unclear.
"Yes, my woman." Albert's smile was flattering.
"The mother of my child, my woman—when did she become your woman? How come I didn't know about this?"
Jake smiled gently at Albert, but his eyes were dark.
"Where did you crawl out from, you ugly toad, thinking you can get the swan?"
The atmosphere was getting weird now.
Elizabeth was Timothy's mistress?
Albert was stunned.
Didn't the Robinson family just publicly acknowledge Emma today?
Albert was scared. He had only found out that Elizabeth was someone's mistress, but hadn't bothered to find out which man's mistress she was.
Anyway, in Border Ridge City, aside from not messing with the Robinson family, the Collins family, and the Sherman family, their Sanchez family could basically do whatever they wanted.
The Sherman family and the Robinson family were sworn enemies, so the Sherman family wouldn't be here today. And the Collins family was run by Mira, who wouldn't keep a mistress.
Albert had even ruled out the Robinson family.
After all, the Robinson family had acknowledged Emma today.
Albert never imagined that Timothy would bring Elizabeth, his mistress, to the party.
Elizabeth pinched the hand around her waist, hard.
Albert quickly let go and smiled at her ingratiatingly.
Elizabeth's eyes were calm as she asked, "Timothy, everyone thinks I'm a mistress. Tell me, what am I to you?"
Emma was holding Jane when she came looking for Timothy, just in time to hear Elizabeth's question.
Emma suddenly felt a bit regretful. If she had known, she wouldn't have sent Elizabeth an invitation.
Emma had thought that when Elizabeth saw their family standing on stage together, she wouldn't be able to take it and would choose to leave the party.
She didn't expect Elizabeth to stay.
Elizabeth sneered coldly, "Timothy, is this question so hard to answer?"
Jake looked down at the angry Elizabeth and laughed. "Of course you're not a mistress. You're my woman."
"A woman to sleep with?"
"My girlfriend!"
"Then what about her?" Elizabeth pointed at Emma. "What's your relationship with her? You just announced the good news. I heard it! Damn it, are you trying to be with two women at the same time?"
Seeing Elizabeth's angry reaction, Jake felt an inexplicable unease. He instinctively replied, "Actually, she and I aren't that close."
Jake's answer was a bit hard to believe, and everyone was confused about what was going on.
Juniper whispered, "Not close? You had kids together and you're not close?"
Jake shot a cold glance at the talkative Juniper.
Elizabeth heard Juniper's words too. Since she wasn't facing the real Timothy, she wouldn't feel suffocated with heartbreak.
Elizabeth laughed lightly and put on another performance. "Will you choose to marry me or marry Emma?"
Emma was extremely nervous now, clutching Jane tightly.
When Emma caught sight of Armando out of the corner of her eye, her nervous expression instantly turned into a smile.
Emma suddenly interrupted, "Ms. Penrose, there's something you'd better come clean about."
Everyone's eyes turned to Emma.
"I didn't want to expose you on such a good day, but since things have come to this, let's make it clear in front of everyone."
"Ms. Penrose, you're pregnant, aren't you?" Emma asked.
Mindy had somehow also come over to watch the drama. She eagerly answered for Elizabeth, "Yes, she's pregnant. I guarantee it."
Armando shot a cold look at his stupid sister Mindy, warning her, "Shut up. This has nothing to do with you."
Mindy pouted her red lips, but she shrank back to watch the show and stopped talking.
Emma didn't necessarily need Elizabeth to answer. She said, "Are you sure the baby in your belly is Timothy's?"
Elizabeth looked like she'd heard a bad joke. "What, trying to throw dirt on me? The baby in my belly is of course Timothy's."
Emma smiled slightly and shook her head. "I'm very certain that Tommy and Jane are Timothy's, but the child in your belly now is hard to say. I heard that before you found out you were pregnant, you were kidnapped. You were missing for quite a long time."
Elizabeth stared at Emma.
Emma was implying that the child in Elizabeth's belly might not be Timothy's.
Armando frowned. "Ms. Sutter, you shouldn't say things carelessly."
Emma nodded. "Sorry, I'm just raising a doubt."
"The child in Elizabeth's belly is of course mine." Jake looked coldly at Emma.
Emma smiled awkwardly. "Mr. Robinson, I'm just expressing my doubts."
Anyway, she'd said what needed to be said. Everyone knew now.
Outside the hotel entrance where the hundred-day celebration was being held, many cars had stopped, and many bodyguards were getting out of them one after another.
Joe got out of the car and opened the door. A bodyguard took a wheelchair from the trunk.
Timothy got out of the car.
Timothy's figure was tall and slightly thin, but not overly frail. His noble bearing was obvious.
He wore a face mask, his gray eyes sharp.
