Chapter 168 A Family of Three
Jake held the back of her head firmly, and Elizabeth found herself caught off guard in Jake's crisp embrace.
Elizabeth was instantly speechless. She quickly pushed him away with her fingers, "Why are you suddenly hugging me like this?"
Jake narrowed his eyes.
He felt like someone had just been secretly photographing them.
The two of them were now at the zoo. Early this morning, Elizabeth had very enthusiastically announced that she wanted to visit Border Ridge City's biggest zoo.
Although Jake found it boring, he had no choice but to come along.
Jake leaned close to Elizabeth's ear, his posture looking both intimate and suggestive, "Do you feel like someone's secretly taking pictures of us?"
"I don't think so?"
She replied quietly.
Elizabeth really didn't feel anyone was photographing them.
Jake looked around again. Maybe his feeling earlier was wrong.
"Let go of me quickly. There are lots of kids here. Don't be all lovey-dovey, it's not a good look."
"Okay."
He continued holding her for a while longer without letting go.
Elizabeth directly pinched his waist.
Only then did Jake let go.
The person responsible for taking secret photos breathed a sigh of relief after the close call. How could he detect that? Jake had the instincts of a wild animal.
He sent the photos to Joe.
Border Ridge City, Timothy's residence.
"Ms. Penrose's photos have been taken," Joe reported, having just opened Facebook when another photo came through from the other end. Joe was quite speechless.
What kind of idiot was this?
They only needed to take one photo of Elizabeth, why did they include Jake too!
"Let me see it." Timothy, sitting in his wheelchair, seeing Joe's stunned reaction, guessed something was up.
Joe didn't have time to delete the photos now. He could only helplessly hand his phone to Timothy.
Timothy took the phone and looked at the embracing Elizabeth and Jake. Timothy stared at the photo without saying a word.
Joe cursed inwardly. What kind of mess was this?
"Next time if there are more photos of Elizabeth, send them all to me." Timothy's expression showed neither joy nor anger. He returned the phone to Joe, coughed a few times, his lips colorless.
Timothy understood her. In the photo, her lower body was instinctively pulling away.
Elizabeth had noticed it, hadn't she?
Joe didn't know what Timothy was thinking. He respectfully took back the phone and responded, "Yes."
The day after going to the zoo, Elizabeth stayed in the hotel room the whole time recovering.
Until this morning when she woke up and checked the date.
Elizabeth walked out of her room and saw Jake sitting on the living room sofa.
She stretched lightly, rubbing her eyes, walked over, and lightly kicked Jake's calf with her little foot to confirm, "Today's the hundred-day celebration, right?"
Having just woken up, without makeup, her face was rosy, and one side of her camisole strap had unknowingly slipped off her shoulder.
Jake's gaze fell on her shoulder as he replied absentmindedly, "Yes."
"Have the paternity test results between you and Tommy and Jane come out yet?" Elizabeth asked while rubbing her neck.
Jake paused slightly, raising an eyebrow, "Yes, they're out."
"Show them to me." Elizabeth stopped rubbing her neck and stared at him.
Jake smiled and stood up.
He placed his fingers on the strap, touching her shoulder, and hooked the strap back up, "You'll see at tonight's banquet. Go eat breakfast first, we still have things to do. Our time is a bit tight."
He checked the time.
Elizabeth, being rushed by him, didn't continue asking and walked to the dining table, "What else do we have to do?"
Jake cleared his throat lightly, "You'll know when we get there."
Elizabeth was speechless. So mysterious.
After she finished breakfast, the two of them left.
The car departed from the hotel and stopped in front of a shop after about half an hour.
When she was helped out of the car, she looked up, saw the bridal shop in front of her, and froze.
Elizabeth was shocked!
"Mr. Robinson, what's the meaning of this?"
"To take wedding photos," Jake's hand wrapped around her waist as he smiled, "I want to see you in a wedding dress."
Elizabeth said, "We can wait until after the baby is born to take wedding photos."
"We're already here, let's just go in and try, okay?"
Elizabeth was about to refuse.
The bridal shop manager had already come out to greet them.
Jake led the speechless Elizabeth into the shop.
While Elizabeth went in to change into a wedding dress.
Jake had already changed into a suit. He looked at the face in the mirror and chuckled softly.
Timothy, look, we're taking wedding photos.
I'm going to turn your Robinson family upside down.
Jake smiled gently.
He walked out of the changing room and sat on the sofa waiting for Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth came out wearing the wedding dress, he was momentarily stunned, then his eyes filled with smiles.
The wedding dress on her was handmade, with clever designs at the chest and waistline.
Just as he had imagined, wearing the wedding dress, she was a beautiful bride.
Jake walked over and stood in front of her, "Very beautiful, just missing a necklace here at the neck."
Like magic.
The hand that had been behind his back reached in front of Elizabeth, with a necklace resting quietly in his palm, "Let me put it on for you."
He moved closer to her.
Around her neck, he fastened the necklace.
Her delicate skin matched perfectly with the necklace.
Jake smiled, "Now you're even more beautiful."
Elizabeth touched the necklace, unable to quite figure out Jake's motives today. She looked at him with curved eyes and brows.
"You planned this all along?"
Otherwise, the wedding dress and shoes couldn't possibly fit so well.
She caught a fleeting smile on his face and knew she had guessed right.
Come to think of it, it was quite funny.
This was her first time wearing a wedding dress for photos.
Jake reached out to hold her hand, "Let's go take photos first, photos of our family of three."
At this moment, at the Robinson family's hotel, the staff were all busy preparing for tonight's banquet from top to bottom.
