Chapter 137 Jake, Timothy, Annie
Timothy finally managed to please the drunk Elizabeth, and he coaxed her back to the bedroom.
"Water." Elizabeth lay dominantly on the bed, asking for water.
Timothy went out to get a cup of warm water.
When he walked back to the room, he saw that Elizabeth had stripped herself naked.
A vein throbbed on Timothy's forehead.
He walked to the bedside, bent down, helped Elizabeth sit up, and made her drink water first.
"Open your mouth, drink some water."
"Okay."
Elizabeth took two sips and stopped. She raised her hands and placed them on Timothy's shoulders.
Timothy had one arm propped beside her, while his other hand steadily set down the water glass.
The light in the room was bright.
Elizabeth opened her eyes and looked up at Timothy. If you looked closely, you could see her eyes were still dazed and confused.
Timothy clenched his jaw, his Adam's apple bobbing. He pulled the blanket over to cover her body.
Earlier in the courtyard, they had already been aroused.
"Sleep properly. When I'm not around, you absolutely cannot drink alcohol."
After Timothy said this, Elizabeth grinned and smiled silently.
"Silly."
The consequence of drinking was that her head hurt when she woke up in the morning.
Timothy leaned close to Elizabeth, rubbing his nose against hers, and said with a smile, "Did you enjoy my licking last night?"
After sobering up, Elizabeth had forgotten about last night. Licking what?
But she was stubborn and wouldn't admit she forgot. She calmly replied, "Pretty comfortable."
"I enjoyed it too." Timothy gave Elizabeth a meaningful look, elegantly put on his watch, checked the time, and said, "I need to go abroad."
"What?" Elizabeth complained, "You're going abroad? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
And she felt that Timothy's meaningful look was hinting at something?
Timothy said, "Something came up that I need to handle. Remember to take your medicine every day."
"Where are you going?"
"Aquilonia."
Elizabeth saw him to the door and yawned, "Stay safe."
Timothy walked out the door, then suddenly turned to Elizabeth and said, "Elizabeth, you have sleep in your eyes."
Elizabeth fell silent.
She quietly closed the door.
Timothy looked at the closed door and chuckled softly.
Joe was already standing by the car door waiting for Timothy to get in.
Elizabeth didn't need to go to work starting today.
She called Mabel to go out together.
She went to the closet to get clothes, then suddenly paused.
Licking?
Elizabeth fell silent again.
She seemed to have a vague memory of fooling around with Timothy in the courtyard.
Aquilonia.
A local woman led a group of people to where Jake was staying. The woman said quietly, "That man is very strange. He finds women to sleep with, but he curls up in a corner to sleep himself. Then when he wakes up, he gives the women birth control pills. So weird."
The group exchanged glances. Timothy had mentioned Jake's mental problems.
On the way to the airport, Timothy received a call from Jake.
"Timothy," Jake said, driving fast and dodging the people Timothy had sent after him. Jake cursed at Timothy, "You think I'm afraid of you? Annie and the baby are dead. None of us should have it easy!"
Timothy said calmly, "You've been crazy for years. Haven't you had enough?"
"I'm not crazy. You're the crazy one. You Robinson family people are really ruthless. Annie was so sweet."
Annie Robinson was a forbidden topic in the Robinson family.
Timothy thought of his dead sister Annie, and a flash of sorrow crossed his eyes. "Jake, hit the brakes. There's no road ahead of you."
Jake switched from crazy ranting back to gentleness. "After all these years, I still haven't killed you. No wonder Annie always said her brother was the best. If you're so great, why did you let Annie sacrifice herself to save you?"
Annie had always thought her brother Timothy was the best, which made Jake constantly resentful.
Jake drove and looked ahead. This time he should be able to beat Timothy.
Before Timothy died, how could Jake be willing to die?
The year Jake first met Annie.
He was fifteen.
Annie was fourteen that year.
Annie looked pale, her eyes distant as she followed behind Timothy.
Jake had transferred back from abroad to a domestic school. The first friend he made was Timothy.
Jake put his hand on Timothy's shoulder. "Why did you bring a little girl? We're going to..."
He winked suggestively.
Fifteen-year-old Jake had an outgoing personality, unlike the adult Jake who became a seemingly gentle madman.
That year, Timothy was also fifteen. He lazily put his hands behind his head. "My sister, Annie Robinson."
Jake looked at Annie. "So she's the legendary genius girl from your family. Hi Annie, I'm Jake Sherman."
The Robinson family protected Annie and rarely let her appear at parties or in public.
However, Jake had also heard that this Robinson family socialite wasn't in good health and often got sick.
Annie looked at Jake with a bland expression. "Hello, Jake."
Jake smiled and scratched his head sheepishly.
Because Annie was there, Jake and Timothy changed their plans that day to play basketball instead.
Annie just sat there, took a book out of her backpack, and read.
Every time Jake shot the ball, he looked over at Annie. He quietly asked Timothy, "Did your sister come out just to read?"
Timothy said, "You have a problem with that?"
"No!"
Annie didn't come out with Timothy every time.
But the three of them gradually met more often and got to know each other.
Timothy went against Manuel's wishes and was determined to study medicine.
Jake also chose medicine.
Whenever Jake had something good, the first person he thought of giving it to was Annie.
Youthful feelings are always pure and hazy. As they grew up, Jake and Annie's feelings gradually became clear.
Not long after Jake and Annie got engaged.
Annie died.
Along with the baby in her belly.
The second day after Timothy went abroad.
Elizabeth changed into a simple athletic outfit, bought some offerings, and went to the cemetery to visit Quinton.
The weather was a bit gloomy, looking like it might rain.
"Today Sherry will be sent abroad by her father to escape debts. She won't be able to come back."
"Oh, Quinton, I haven't told you yet—I'm not Calista's daughter."
Elizabeth heard footsteps and turned to see two elderly people supporting each other as they walked over.
The woman muttered, "Strange, I clearly remember our son's tombstone is around here. Why can't I find it?"
The man said, "You must have remembered wrong. Let's look slowly. If we really can't find it, we can call our daughter."
They passed behind Elizabeth.
Things suddenly happened.
By the time Elizabeth sensed something was wrong, it was too late.
Someone standing behind her covered her nose with a cloth soaked in drugs.
She struggled and scratched the person behind her, but her whole body had already lost consciousness.
When Elizabeth woke up again.
She realized she had been kidnapped.
This was a small room with a moldy smell in the air.
She was tied to a chair. She moved her hands—the rope around her wrists was tied very tight.
Who could it be?
She had brought bodyguards when she went out today. They were at the bottom of the hill—they could see her if they looked up.
Where were they?
Elizabeth had a vague feeling that something was very wrong about this.
Outside the door, voices could be heard talking.
The door was opened from outside.
Elizabeth stared at the doorway, her heart pounding, her eyes alert as she watched two men walk in.
When she saw that both men were wearing grotesque masks, Elizabeth immediately thought of Elijah from the orphanage.
Elijah's room also had these kinds of masks hanging in it.
When Elizabeth chose to report to the police, she knew that one day they would trace it back to her.
The man wearing the grotesque mask glanced at the now-awake Elizabeth, then turned to the man beside him and said, "We almost got hit by that car chasing us today. We need to get this woman out of here quickly."
They rechecked the ropes binding Elizabeth and walked out of the small room.
One man took out his phone and dialed a number. When the other end picked up.
He said, "Mr. Johnson, we've completed our deal with Mr. Sherman. Mr. Sherman's intention is to have her stay at our place for a while, then you can come rescue her. Be the hero saving the beauty."
Armando's face darkened when he heard this. Jake had changed his mind again.
"I'll come pick her up right now."
"Sorry, Mr. Johnson, that won't work. Ms. Penrose reported us to the police and destroyed several of our orphanage locations. We need to teach her a lesson. That's also why we agreed to deal with Mr. Sherman."
The other party hung up.
Armando put down his phone and turned to Tom. "Cancel today's meeting for now. Find out as soon as possible where they're going..."
Before Armando could finish, he received a warning message from Jake.
[Don't ruin my plan]
