Chapter 357: Dinner at the Same Restaurant
The dinner Dean invited Sloane to tonight was definitely not going to be pleasant.
Yesterday outside the Robinson Group building, right after Sloane's car stopped, it got rear-ended by a car behind her.
Thinking back to yesterday's accident, Sloane still felt shaken.
And the person who deliberately rear-ended her car to scare her was none other than Asher, the fired CFO.
Asher was the person Dean had recommended for the company.
Dean organized tonight's dinner under the pretense of having Asher apologize to Sloane.
Sloane knew full well that tonight's dinner wouldn't be a simple apology, but she had to go. Otherwise, it would look like she was backing down.
As her assistant, it was Stefan's duty to accompany his boss to various events.
After leaving Sloane's office, he immediately reported the situation to Seraphina.
[Dione, I submitted my resignation, but I have to stay for a month for the handover. Also, I need to accompany my boss to a dinner tonight]
Seraphina was busy with work when her phone vibrated. She opened it and read the message.
One month? Fine.
Her fingers moved quickly as she typed: [One month it is then. You're accompanying your boss to dinner tonight, got it. I also have to go with my boss to entertain clients tonight]
Stefan saw the message and replied, [Dione, stay safe. Contact me if anything comes up]
Seraphina smiled and replied honestly, [Don't worry, my looks keep me safe]
Stefan saw the message and smiled helplessly.
They didn't continue chatting and got back to work.
During lunch break, Seraphina sent Elizabeth a message saying she had to attend a dinner and wouldn't be home for the meal.
Elizabeth received Seraphina's message and turned to announce to Timothy, "Mr. Robinson, I'm going to the spa this afternoon. For tonight's dinner, it'll just be you and Brandon enjoying it together."
Timothy was still holding a mop, mopping the floor. Hearing Elizabeth's words, he immediately objected, "No way, I'm coming with you. Brandon can have the bodyguard pick him up today!"
"What's with that expression?" Why did he look like she was abandoning him? "You can't come with me. If you wait for me at the spa, it'll make me feel pressured."
Actually, besides the spa, she also wanted to buy Timothy a birthday gift.
Of course, she couldn't let Timothy know about buying a gift.
Timothy was just too clingy.
Timothy frowned, "Really can't come? I won't rush you. Why would you feel pressured? I'm willing to wait for you no matter how long."
She was caught off guard by his declaration of love.
Elizabeth's beautiful face flushed slightly as she glared at him.
Timothy and Elizabeth's lovey-dovey exchange didn't feel tiresome to them at all.
Just when Timothy thought Elizabeth would surely be moved by his words and bring him along.
He heard her say coldly and firmly, "No."
Fine, tonight it would just be him and Brandon having dinner together.
At four in the afternoon, Timothy reluctantly saw Elizabeth off first, then went to pick up Brandon from kindergarten.
Brandon was at school, bored, playing with a Rubik's cube in his hands, waiting for Timothy to pick him up and go home for dinner!
Matilda pulled a milk candy from her pocket and held it out to Brandon, "Brandon, for you. It's yummy."
Brandon immediately put the Rubik's cube in his backpack and took the candy. Nothing was more important than food, "Matilda, thank you."
Matilda smiled shyly. When Matilda wasn't crying, she looked quiet and well-behaved, "I'll bring you more milk candy tomorrow."
Brandon nodded, "I'll play with you again tomorrow!"
"Brandon, your dad is here," the teacher called out.
"Mr. Robinson is here to pick me up. Bye, Matilda!" Brandon grabbed his backpack.
"Who's Mr. Robinson?" Matilda blinked, reluctant to see Brandon go.
"Mr. Robinson is my dad! Silly."
Brandon was in a hurry to get home. He said goodbye to Matilda and a few other friends, walked to the door with the teacher, and said goodbye to the teacher too.
Timothy stood by the car door waiting for Brandon.
Brandon walked out and saw Timothy. With a smile on his face, he ran over on his little legs.
"Dad, quick, let's go home."
Brandon climbed into the car quickly and put down his backpack.
Once Timothy got in the car too, Brandon's first question was, "Dad, what's for dinner tonight?"
Timothy flashed a charming smile, "Guess."
Brandon's eyes lit up as he started counting on his fingers, "Chicken legs! Fried shrimp balls! Chicken wings! Curry rice! Pudding for dessert!"
His demands weren't high.
Timothy nodded, "Not bad, all of those."
"Oh, God!" Brandon instantly broke into a delighted grin.
When Brandon got home, he started calling out happily like a little bird, "Mommy, I'm home!"
Then, after calling out a few times with no response.
He had a bad feeling.
Timothy carried Brandon's backpack and put it on the sofa, kindly informing Brandon, "Your mommy went to the spa, and your sister isn't coming home for dinner either, so it's just the two of us for dinner tonight."
Brandon instantly wanted to cry.
Every time Elizabeth wasn't home, he had to eat vegetarian food with Timothy.
What happened to the chicken legs, chicken wings, curry rice, and pudding?
"Dad, you lied to me again."
"Yes, who told you to believe it."
Timothy answered matter-of-factly.
Brandon silently turned around, his back to Timothy.
He was temporarily not talking to Timothy.
Without the lady of the house at home.
Timothy and Brandon both felt that nothing tasted good.
Brandon because the vegetables had no flavor, and Timothy because nothing tasted good without Elizabeth.
"Dad, when is Mommy coming home?"
"Why don't you call and ask?" Timothy generously handed his phone to Brandon.
Brandon didn't fall for it, "Dad, you call."
Timothy didn't dare call either. Too bad Brandon didn't fall for it.
Timothy and Brandon sighed at the same time.
At six in the evening.
Seraphina, who was attending a dinner tonight, went with Robbie and the others to ElizaTimo Restaurant.
Robbie explained to Demetrius the origin of ElizaTimo Restaurant's name, "'ElizaTimo' is a combination of our boss and his wife's names."
Demetrius nodded after hearing this.
Seraphina nodded along too.
Timothy really knew how to please Elizabeth.
Jacob noticed Seraphina nodding with a smile, and the corners of his lips curved up slightly, his eyes filled with amusement.
The group walked into the restaurant.
Demetrius's gaze swept around the restaurant's environment.
The interior was elegantly decorated with soft lighting, creating a warm yet upscale atmosphere.
The manager led them to a private room. As they passed by one room, Seraphina happened to see Stefan.
What a coincidence.
Stefan also caught sight of Seraphina walking past.
They had both come to ElizaTimo Restaurant for dinners, just in different private rooms.
