Chapter 200 Solving Troubles for Her
Herschel took Emma to the lounge and poured her a cup of hot water.
"The cruise has already set sail. We can't go back now."
"I know."
Herschel took out his phone, wanting to call Mira directly.
Emma nervously twisted her fingers together. "Herschel, do you think godmother will like the earrings I bid on tonight?"
"Probably." Herschel didn't really understand what older women liked. He frowned - his phone had no signal.
"That's strange, there's no signal."
Hearing this, Emma's tense heart instantly relaxed.
---
In a private room on the second floor.
Elizabeth was being forced by bodyguards to sign, and she cooperated obediently.
Fine, she'd sign.
The contract would be invalid anyway.
She could imitate other people's handwriting.
Just then, someone suddenly knocked on the door.
Delbert frowned.
There were still bodyguards at the door, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about.
The knocking continued.
Delbert signaled for a bodyguard to check.
The bodyguard opened the door a crack and saw a man wearing the cruise's standard service uniform.
But this server was wearing a mask.
"What is it?"
"Hello, guest. Here's the wine you ordered."
So they'd delivered the wrong wine.
The bodyguard said, "We didn't order any wine."
He was about to close the door when a hand stopped it.
The door was suddenly pushed open forcefully.
Timothy, wearing a mask, walked into the room, followed by several other masked people.
Delbert looked over and frowned. "Who are you?"
Elizabeth turned to look and recognized who it was.
Timothy had come.
She glanced at the phone in her hand. The signal was back - Timothy must have dealt with it.
Her phone had a tracking device. As long as the signal was restored, Timothy could find her.
Timothy first looked at Elizabeth. Seeing she was fine, the coldness in his eyes faded.
He pulled out a chair and sat down beside Elizabeth.
He glanced at the contract on the table, picked it up to read, and understood what it meant after reading it.
He looked coldly at Delbert, his thin lips curling up. "One dollar. Pretty reasonable."
Joe understood what Timothy meant. He took the contract over to Delbert.
The meaning was clear - he wanted Delbert to sign.
Delbert wasn't afraid.
He thought through everyone in Border Ridge City he couldn't afford to offend - those people wouldn't meddle in other people's business.
Delbert smiled and asked casually, "Who are you?"
Timothy turned to look at Elizabeth. "Did anyone bully you?"
Elizabeth shook her head and smiled. "No."
She leaned close to Timothy's ear. "Your timing is perfect. A little later and I would have been thrown off the cruise to feed the fish."
Hearing this, Timothy immediately looked coldly at Delbert.
His thin lips curved up as his large hand held Elizabeth's. "I'm her boyfriend, of course."
Delbert suddenly clapped and laughed. "Who would have thought - Jake just died and Ms. Penrose already has a new lover."
Timothy raised his eyes and lifted an eyebrow. "You're wrong. An old lover."
Now Delbert was surprised. "So Jake was being cheated on the whole time. Could it be that Ms. Penrose got the Sherman Group shares through shady means too?"
Timothy ignored Delbert. He looked at Elizabeth. "Want to throw him overboard to feed the fish?"
Elizabeth nodded without hesitation. "The window is just big enough for his body to fit through."
Delbert's smile instantly vanished. He looked at Elizabeth and the masked Timothy and sneered. "Putting on a show. A man who doesn't even dare show his face wants to scare me?"
The bodyguards from both sides faced off.
Since Delbert dared to use the Collins family's charity event to get the shares from Elizabeth, he naturally brought more than just the few bodyguards in the room.
A flash of ruthlessness crossed Timothy's eyes.
He leaned close to Elizabeth. "Go wait outside. I'll have a good chat with him about life."
Elizabeth hesitated. Actually, she wanted to watch.
Timothy was worried Elizabeth might be soft-hearted. He lifted her chin, his cool mask touching her red lips.
"Go wait outside."
"Okay."
Since Timothy didn't want her to see, she'd just listen.
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes and walked out of the room with a smile.
Actually, even if Timothy hadn't made it tonight, she could have protected herself.
---
Elizabeth left the room and leisurely went to watch everyone play. Half of the entertainment facilities on the second floor were actually a casino, and the other half were like an arcade.
Elizabeth was playing basketball when Timothy, wearing a white shirt and suit, walked over.
He put a mask on Elizabeth's face.
Both of them had their faces covered now.
He stood openly behind her, holding her hands to help her shoot.
She had a smile on her face.
The basketball went out and scored.
She turned to look at him. "All done?"
Timothy raised his hand and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Done. Should we go home?"
Elizabeth shook her head. Since they were already here, she hadn't achieved today's goal yet.
Timothy made a sound of agreement. "I'll wait and go home with you."
They were very close. She could smell the faint scent of pine on him.
Timothy went to the private room to wait for her. Elizabeth gave him the mask and left the room to network.
When Emma came downstairs with Herschel, she saw Elizabeth chatting smoothly with others and instinctively stopped in her tracks.
Elizabeth's eyes briefly swept over Herschel and Emma.
Elizabeth looked away and continued chatting with others.
It seemed the Sherman Group couldn't cooperate with the Nightingale Group after all.
Seeing Elizabeth standing there perfectly fine, Herschel thought to himself that Elizabeth clearly had some skills.
He turned his head. "Emma, what's wrong? If you're really uncomfortable, we can go back to the lounge."
