Chapter 125 Kill Her
Timothy came out of the operating room and saw a message from Joe about Elizabeth.
As a competent assistant, when Elizabeth asked him to check the utility bills at Contentment Court, Joe had already sent someone to find out what had happened.
[Mr. Robinson, this is the footage of that young man taking Ewan to the hospital. I've also sent people to track him down]
Timothy opened the video.
In the footage, Tate had a baseball cap covering most of his face, estimated to be around 5.77 feet tall.
He wore loose clothing, and his build looked neither skinny nor particularly strong.
Timothy knew the human body well. He put his thumb on the phone screen and zoomed in on the video.
He called Joe, "This man's build should normally be on the smaller side. He's wearing fake muscle padding underneath, and his shoes have lifts. His left foot has a limp. When he runs, he'll probably take off the fake muscle clothing."
After hanging up with Joe, Timothy called Elizabeth.
He unbuttoned his doctor's coat with one hand while listening to the busy tone on the other end.
No answer?
Timothy switched the phone to his other hand, took off his coat, and hung it on the rack.
He called Elizabeth's bodyguard and found out where she was. "I'll be there in about thirty minutes."
The bodyguard on the other end acknowledged.
Timothy drove to the mall and went to Elysium Haven on the second basement level.
He saw Elizabeth.
She was sitting there with a tiny fishing rod, fishing for fake fish.
All around her were little kids, and she was the only adult fishing.
Timothy took a hundred-dollar bill from his wallet and exchanged it for game tokens. Many tokens came tumbling down.
He went to the service counter and exchanged ten dollars' worth of tokens for a small fishing rod and basket.
Timothy sat down on the small stool next to Elizabeth, his long legs awkwardly bent, looking uncomfortable.
Elizabeth had been spacing out, but instinctively turned her head and saw Timothy, looking a bit startled.
"Mr. Robinson, off work?"
"Yes, left early to spend time with my girlfriend."
As soon as Timothy said this, it sounded like he was slacking off. He held the fishing rod, dropped the line into the water, and caught a fake fish.
His gray eyes looked at Elizabeth. "I called you, but you didn't answer."
Elizabeth let out a small "ah." She opened her small purse and rummaged through it, indeed not finding her phone.
She suddenly remembered, "I left my phone in the car."
Timothy put the fake fish he caught into Elizabeth's empty basket.
Elizabeth looked at the fake fish in the basket, then turned to look at Timothy. Timothy looked back at her.
They just kept looking at each other.
"Elizabeth Baby." As soon as Timothy called out, Elizabeth raised her hand to cover his mouth.
With his mouth covered, Timothy smiled.
Parents accompanying their children nearby looked curiously at Elizabeth and Timothy.
Both were wearing masks, but from their figures and eyes, you could tell they were the handsome and beautiful type.
Very easy on the eyes.
Elizabeth glared at Timothy in warning and removed her hand from his lips.
In public, how could he call her 'Elizabeth Baby'?
She wasn't a three-year-old child.
Timothy knew Elizabeth was embarrassed. He caught a fake turtle and put it in Elizabeth's basket.
After fishing for fake fish for a while, feeling bad about taking up the kids' play area, they decided to leave Elysium Haven.
As they walked out of the mall, the driver-bodyguard had already brought the car to the mall entrance.
Elizabeth got in the car and indeed saw her phone left on the seat.
Timothy looked at the wounds on her arm, scratches all over, and only then did his eyes turn cold as he asked, "How did you get hurt?"
Elizabeth's gaze fell on her arm, where Sherry had scratched her while struggling.
"Got in a fight, it's nothing. I'll put some medicine on it at home, it'll be fine in a few days."
Elizabeth casually unlocked her phone to check for messages. The fugitive hadn't been caught yet.
Timothy's face turned cold.
He asked the bodyguard in the passenger seat to buy ointment for external injuries and cotton swabs.
Timothy's cold demeanor actually carried a strong presence.
Elizabeth put down her phone. "Don't be angry, it's not that serious."
"If you're going to fight, why do it yourself? Are the bodyguards around you all useless?" Timothy's gaze moved from Elizabeth's injured arm to her face. "Fighting yourself and getting yourself hurt."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "You don't understand, it's called satisfying, so satisfying you don't care about the wounds."
Timothy instantly wanted to rub his temples.
There was a pharmacy nearby, and the bodyguard quickly returned with ointment and cotton swabs.
"Give me your hand." Timothy wanted Elizabeth to be more cooperative.
Elizabeth shifted her bottom and moved away from Timothy, leaning against the other car door.
The ointment would sting on the wounds.
She figured the wounds would heal in a few days anyway, no need for medicine.
Elizabeth huddled by the car door without moving. Timothy was speechless - he knew this would happen.
"Are you coming over, or am I coming to you?"
"I choose neither."
Timothy snorted coldly. He stopped asking her to come over and went to her himself, opened the ointment, dabbed some on his finger, and decisively grabbed Elizabeth's hand.
Applied the medicine.
Elizabeth's skin was already delicate, making the nail scratches on her arm look even more noticeably red and swollen.
Timothy was very serious while applying the medicine, less casual than his usual demeanor.
Elizabeth thought about what Sherry had mentioned - she had been raped by a stranger at the Starlight Hotel.
Now she had time to think about this.
Elizabeth looked at Timothy gently applying medicine for her, and as she watched, she felt like crying.
Sherry said it was a beggar, but whether it was a beggar or not, it was a stranger.
Timothy finished applying the medicine and looked up to see Elizabeth's eyes red. He touched the corner of her eye with the finger that hadn't touched the ointment.
His voice was low as he said, "Want to cry? Didn't see you wanting to cry when you were fighting."
"I..."
Elizabeth was about to explain she wasn't crying because the wound stung a bit.
She had wanted to tell Timothy about what happened to her at the Starlight Hotel a year ago.
However, Timothy's phone rang at that moment, the ringtone interrupting what Elizabeth was about to say.
Timothy answered the call, glanced at Elizabeth, listened to Joe's report on the other end, and when Joe finished, he said, "Okay, I got it."
Timothy hung up and said to Elizabeth, "The two men you wanted to catch have been caught. Do you want to go see them now, or send them straight to the police station?"
Elizabeth was instantly delighted. "Let's go see them first. They also took photos and videos of Jessa."
After being questioned by Jessa like that, she actually felt very upset.
Originally, her initial acquaintance with Jessa was based on their mutual interests.
But Elizabeth couldn't quite describe how she felt - she just felt guilty.
On the way to see the perpetrators Tate and Uri.
Elizabeth told Timothy about Jessa.
After hearing the whole story, Timothy first reached out and pinched Elizabeth's face. "So you can compose music. I thought you could only sing off-key."
He was referring to the broken notes from when they drove to Regal City together.
After pinching her face, before Elizabeth could explode, Timothy instantly became serious.
"Elizabeth, when you sold the song rights to Jessa, she had already met you. Why did you choose to sell her the rights? A smart person would have figured out you were targeting Sherry."
"Since Jessa chose to accept, she has to bear the consequences of accepting."
This might sound a bit heartless, but that's what Timothy thought.
"Human nature is like this - seeking benefit and avoiding harm. If she doesn't want anything more to do with you, she should stay away. And you don't need to feel guilty about this."
Elizabeth said sullenly, "Why don't you ask me why I'm targeting Sherry?"
If it were another man, he might think Elizabeth was jealous that Sherry got Armando.
Old love dies hard.
Timothy had been sitting very close to Elizabeth.
After hearing Elizabeth's question, he casually and very properly moved to sit on the other side.
Elizabeth looked at Timothy in confusion.
Timothy smiled, was silent for a second, then said, "I was the one who had that photo of Sherry and the hit-and-run driver sent to that idiot Armando."
At that time, Elizabeth had amnesia and was determined to win back Armando, which actually made Timothy feel a bit down.
Timothy had already planned to give up because he felt there was no need to force feelings that didn't belong to him.
So when his subordinate got that photo of Sherry and the hit-and-run driver, he sent it to Armando.
It was a final chance for everyone to choose.
But after receiving that photo, Armando actually chose to drive Elizabeth out of Silverlight City.
Thinking about this, Timothy sneered, "I should really thank Armando for the choice he made after receiving that photo."
Going full circle, it turned out Timothy had provided the photo of Sherry and the hit-and-run driver.
Elizabeth fell silent.
She definitely wouldn't tell Timothy that at the time, she had deliberately pretended to have amnesia to get close to Armando, with the purpose of making trouble for Sherry.
If Timothy knew about this, he'd probably call Elizabeth stupid too.
Timothy glanced at Elizabeth. "Actually, I suspect Sherry was the mastermind behind that car accident."
"Elizabeth."
"What?"
"Your methods could be more ruthless," Timothy said with deep eyes. "No need to follow the rules."
Elizabeth looked at Timothy, paused, then said, "Should I find someone to drive and run her over?"
