Chapter 115 No Condom
Timothy was forced to stand aside and watch.
"Why did you buy so much food? It's just the two of us."
He looked at Elizabeth's busy figure, wanting to help but being glared at by her, feeling a bit wronged.
"It's not just the two of us. Mabel and Yosef are coming over for dinner later. Do you have anyone you want to invite?"
Timothy didn't even think about it. "No."
Inviting people over would mean Elizabeth had to prepare more food, which was completely unnecessary.
Elizabeth thought he would invite Matthew, but since he said no, so be it.
As for the online discussions about her, Elizabeth didn't really want to care.
Timothy originally wanted to take down the trending topic.
But Elizabeth stopped him.
Timothy looked at the ingredients Elizabeth had prepared, something seemed off, so he asked, "What are we cooking tonight?"
Elizabeth smiled without saying anything, feeling guilty and not daring to turn around to look at him.
Timothy's expression was calm, but his eyes stared at Elizabeth with suspicion.
Elizabeth continued to grin awkwardly.
She quietly turned her head to look at Timothy, seeing him leaning against the doorframe, staring at her intensely.
He was still wearing a sleeveless T-shirt that hugged his figure, showing his strong build.
On his collarbone was her lipstick mark, from when they were in the car and she had deliberately put on lipstick to kiss his collarbone.
Elizabeth slowly looked away and cleared her throat lightly. "Don't stand in the kitchen staring at me, it affects my work."
Timothy frowned and guessed, "Mexican food?"
Elizabeth laughed dryly. "Don't worry, I also made some non-spicy dishes. I'll eat the non-spicy ones."
Timothy's eyes flashed with a barely noticeable smile. She was being so sneaky because she still wanted to eat spicy food.
Elizabeth changed the subject. "By the way, do you know any reliable private investigators?"
"Yes."
"I think I heard something?"
Elizabeth and Timothy looked at each other.
Elizabeth wiped her hands with a towel and followed Timothy to the door to check.
At that moment, at the entrance of the European-style villa.
Mabel had one hand on her hip and was pointing at her dented car hood with the other.
"Your driving skills are absolutely terrible!"
Mabel and Yosef's cars had collided at the entrance.
Yosef was suddenly rear-ended, which startled him too. He didn't expect to be yelled at the moment he got out of the car.
He knew who Mabel was, but Yosef wasn't very familiar with her.
Yosef still had a cigarette between his fingers. He smoked while standing there letting Mabel scold him.
It was clearly her own fault for not braking fast enough and hitting his car.
Mabel also knew she was wrong. As she kept scolding, her voice got quieter and her gaze drifted away.
Elizabeth and Timothy opened the door and came out, seeing Yosef with a cold face, looking down as if bullying Mabel.
Elizabeth asked, "What happened?"
Timothy immediately noticed the hood of Mabel's car.
It was dented.
Timothy was speechless. He put his hand on Elizabeth's shoulder, pulled her back inside, "Let them finish arguing and come in on their own."
Mabel felt too embarrassed to argue anymore. "I'm sorry, I'll pay for the car damage."
She touched her nose and slipped into the villa.
So embarrassing.
Yosef took out his phone and first called someone to handle the cars. After finishing the call, he walked into the house.
The courtyard of the European-style villa combined water features with natural scenery.
There was a pond, a small waterfall, and decorative rocks.
Very artistic.
Before Yosef even entered the living room, he heard Mabel's happy voice, "Mexican food, what a great idea."
He walked in and changed his shoes.
The whole house was decorated very warmly.
What surprised Yosef the most was that as soon as he entered, Timothy lazily reminded him, "No smoking in the house."
Yosef followed the house rules and stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray.
Timothy smiled. "Thanks, my Elizabeth doesn't really like the smell of smoke."
After saying that, Timothy walked into the kitchen to help Elizabeth bring out the food.
Yosef raised his eyebrows.
The four of them were actually quite happy eating Mexican food.
Yosef had never seen how Elizabeth and Timothy interacted in private.
But today really changed his view of Timothy.
Timothy's tenderness seemed to be entirely reserved for Elizabeth.
"You can't eat spicy food!" Timothy was annoyed.
"Just a little bit, the flavor is really very mild." Elizabeth was also annoyed.
Timothy couldn't help rubbing his temples.
Elizabeth had already eaten it. Could he possibly dig it out of her mouth?
Mabel ate quietly, occasionally glancing at the two arguing.
Mabel shook her head.
She had reason to suspect these two were showing off their relationship in front of her.
"Should we take a photo as a memory?"
Mabel put down her utensils, opened her phone's camera function, moved closer to Elizabeth, adjusted the angle, and got all four of them in the shot.
She sent the photo to Elizabeth, then added Yosef as a Facebook friend and sent him the photo too.
The four of them finished all the food today, everyone had a good appetite.
Yosef called Uriah to come pick him up. He looked at Mabel, "Ms. Simpson, should I give you a ride home?"
Mabel was rubbing her stomach, sprawled on the sofa chatting with Elizabeth about nothing important. When she heard Yosef ask this, she nodded, "Sure, thanks."
Her pretty, slightly chubby face looked carefree when she smiled.
Yosef only knew a little about Mabel, not much, just that she was Manuel's third wife, Timothy's father.
Yosef inexplicably felt a trace of sympathy.
Sometimes a man's different feelings for a girl start with sympathy.
Yosef didn't know this himself, and neither did Mabel.
Their acquaintance was wrong from the very beginning.
Yosef drove Mabel back to Faith Residence community. He watched her walk into the building before taking out his phone to call Emma.
At that moment, Emma was holding a book, reading aloud for prenatal education. Seeing Yosef calling, she put down the book. "Yosef?"
Yosef didn't beat around the bush. "Emma, move back home. You and Timothy will never have a chance."
Yosef's personality was decisive.
The way Timothy looked at Elizabeth was full of affection. It wouldn't be appropriate for Emma to continue living at Greenview Mansion.
The smile on Emma's lips faded. "Yosef, this is already my property. Mr. Robinson has given it to me."
She hated hearing that she and Timothy had no chance.
Emma never explained to her family why Timothy gave her Greenview Mansion.
This led the entire Sutter family to believe that Timothy and she had once had a romantic relationship.
Emma wanted exactly this effect.
She didn't want her family to stop her.
Fortunately, she had told Matthew not to tell Yosef about her pregnancy, otherwise, knowing Yosef's temper, she would be forced back to The Sutter Mansion.
"Yosef, the back garden here has all kinds of precious flowers. I really love it here. I want to paint them all." Emma's voice became cheerful again.
Hearing her say this, Yosef had no choice but to say, "Timothy seems to really like Elizabeth. Just be aware of that yourself."
"I know. Don't you and Matthew also have many women? I won't mind if Mr. Robinson has women before marriage."
Many men in aristocratic circles basically have several girlfriends before marriage.
Emma saw it very clearly. What mattered most was who was the one getting the marriage certificate.
Elizabeth couldn't even hold onto Armando, let alone Timothy.
Besides, she had already discussed everything with Manuel. Everything would wait until she safely gave birth to the child.
Yosef on the other end of the phone was momentarily speechless.
He did have many women, but his relationships with them were all clear-cut financial transactions. He currently had no one he loved.
Yosef had no way to deal with Emma. He had already given the warning he needed to give.
The two hung up.
After hanging up, Emma's mood was still affected by what Yosef said.
She would succeed.
European-style villa.
Before going to bed at night, Elizabeth logged into her Instagram account and clarified the online rumors about being an abandoned woman from nobility suspected of being a murderer.
Whether netizens believed it or not didn't matter.
After she finished showering, she climbed into bed.
Timothy had actually gone to bed before her, which was quite rare.
Elizabeth got into bed very quietly, but unexpectedly, just as she lay down.
The man beside her, who she thought was asleep, reached over with his large hand and pulled her into his arms.
His thin lips touched her ear, his voice lazy. "Want to."
Elizabeth's eyes widened immediately, very confused.
She was silent for a moment.
Then very honestly and shyly said, "That's okay too."
"We don't have condoms at home." He suddenly said lightly.
Elizabeth nodded, turned to face him, and ran her fingers along his shirt to his abs. "Then we can't make love."
His hand caressed her waist, his voice tinged with regret. "I'll go buy some tomorrow."
Elizabeth raised her hand to cover her eyes. Who would say such embarrassing things in such a serious tone!
The next day when she woke up.
Elizabeth sat up with very messy hair. Timothy had already gone to work.
She was meeting private investigator Harry Brooks this morning, so she wasn't going to work for now. Actually, she was already considering not going to work at all. Her colleagues would probably feel very awkward seeing her.
She arranged to meet Harry in a private room with good privacy.
Harry had a round, chubby figure.
Wouldn't Harry's build make him easy to spot as an investigator?
Elizabeth trusted Timothy's judgment. She told Harry directly about her situation. "I want you to help me investigate Sherry's family."
Elizabeth pulled up Sherry's photo and singer information on her phone. "It's her, Sherry."
