Chapter 91

The aquarium was so crowded and noisy that Julia didn't catch the second half of what he said.

She looked puzzled for a moment, then gave Henry the address.

Henry didn't say much more, hung up the phone, and rushed over. "Wait for me."

Julia saw him hang up and waited in place.

She looked up and saw the three little ones playing happily, feeling a mix of emotions.

She was really afraid that Henry would spend too much time with Joseph and Stephen, and eventually find out about their true parentage.

Joseph and Stephen were so adorable. What if Henry took them away? What would she do then?

How would she live?

With these heavy thoughts, she watched the three little ones for over half an hour.

Julia's brows remained furrowed, never relaxing.

Henry called again. "Where are you? I'm here."

The three little ones had already run out of the play area, clamoring to see the whale show.

Julia said, "Meet us at the whale exhibit."

She hurried over with the three little ones.

Henry was also on his way.

Tiffany saw her daddy and waved happily at Henry. When he waved back, she turned her attention back to the whale show.

Joseph and Stephen, on the other hand, pretended not to see him, ignoring him completely.

Their obvious distance made Henry realize they were still mad at him for that night.

He felt helpless but couldn't do anything about it.

Julia gave him a slight nod, without any extra expression.

Henry, feeling like an outsider, sat in his seat, but his mind was entirely on the four of them.

Behind the large glass, the staff were dancing with the whales, spinning in the water.

The music rose and fell, perfectly synchronized.

In that moment, it felt like humans and animals could coexist naturally.

The three little ones watched with wide eyes. "Wow, so beautiful!"

A few minutes later, the song ended.

The dance with the whales was over too.

The three little ones were still a bit unsatisfied, resting their chins on their hands, looking at Julia with hopeful eyes, as if to say, "Mommy, can they do it again?"

Julia rubbed Stephen, who was closest to her. "Whales get tired too, you know. They can't keep jumping."

Stephen nodded understandingly. "Okay."

Tiffany suddenly said, "I'm disappointed we can only see it once."

Julia clearly heard the words come out of Tiffany's mouth.

She even doubted her own ears.

Did Tiffany just speak?

Joseph and Stephen also turned their eyes to Tiffany.

"Mommy, did Tiffany just talk?" Joseph asked in surprise.

Julia heard it too and, coming back to her senses, looked at Tiffany and replied softly, "Yes, I heard it too."

Tiffany's voice was pleasant and fluent.

Not like a child who hadn't spoken in years.

She sounded perfectly normal!

Henry, coming out of his shock, realized he hadn't heard his daughter speak because he was lost in thought.

He quickly asked, "What did Tiffany say?"

Julia was a bit taken aback. Stephen repeated, "Tiffany said she's disappointed we can only see it once."

Joseph was puzzled. "Isn't Tiffany mute?"

They had always thought Tiffany was mute.

Since they met her, Tiffany had never spoken.

She always wrote in her little notebook to communicate.

No matter how angry she got, she never spoke.

Henry immediately defended his daughter. "I never said Tiffany was mute."

Julia thought, 'Oh my God! What a big misunderstanding.'

Not just Joseph and Stephen, she had always thought Tiffany was mute too.

Joseph and Stephen looked at each other in surprise.

Julia was also skeptical. "If Tiffany can talk, why do you always give her a notebook to write in?"

Why not encourage her to speak more?

Henry realized they might have misunderstood because of the notebook and explained, "It's because Tiffany is autistic. She doesn't like to talk. Sometimes, even I only hear a word or two from her. She prefers to write to communicate with us."

So that was how it was.

Julia understood.

Henry took a deep breath, feeling complicated. Tiffany had rarely spoken since she was little.

But since being with Julia, she had spoken twice.

The first time was when Julia was leaving.

The second time was also with Julia.

Could this be the power of blood ties?

Henry's eyes darkened as he looked at Tiffany and gently asked, "Tiffany, did you enjoy the show?"

Tiffany smiled deeply but didn't speak, habitually nodding.

Henry patiently continued to encourage her to talk. "What did you see? Tell Daddy about it."

Stephen also wanted to hear Tiffany speak and urged, "Yeah, tell us too. We all want to hear."

Tiffany looked at them, then turned to get paper and a pen from her bag.

Henry saw what she was doing and didn't push her.

Julia was also eager to hear Tiffany speak.

She glanced at Henry and saw a flash of disappointment in his eyes.

She softly comforted him, "Don't rush. Tiffany is just starting to improve. Let's not push her too hard. Let her take her time."

For now, that was all they could do.

Henry wanted more than anyone for Tiffany to speak.

But reality was as Julia said.

Tiffany speaking was a step in the right direction.

What more could he ask for?

As long as she was happy, healthy, and safe.

Tiffany wrote for a while before showing them her answer.

Joseph and Stephen were a bit disappointed. "Tiffany, can't you talk to us? You can speak, after all."

Tiffany pouted and tried to speak, but no sound came out.

She lowered her head in frustration.

Julia saw this and told Joseph and Stephen not to push Tiffany anymore. "Take it slow. Tiffany is more eager to speak than you are. Let's not pressure her."

"Okay." Joseph and Stephen saw Tiffany was upset and stopped asking.

They thought, 'Mommy is right. Tiffany must be more anxious than they are.'

The whale show was over. Julia checked the time and decided to let them play a bit longer.

It was still early, and going back now would be boring.
