Chapter 79

Henry, the school's major shareholder, was present, so the teachers didn't say much. They just smiled and welcomed them, even encouraging the kids to join in the welcome.

Julia loved the atmosphere of the kindergarten. She smiled at each child and then found a quiet corner to sit with Henry.

After the morning exercises, the teachers started playing games with the kids.

Julia and Henry were sitting in a bit of a blind spot, and as the teachers got busy, they seemed to forget about them, relaxing a bit.

The teacher intentionally placed Tiffany in the center, with Joseph and Stephen flanking her like little knights.

With their lead, the other kids also started interacting with Tiffany.

Henry watched the scene unfold. Tiffany still wasn't speaking or reacting at all.

After several attempts, Joseph and Stephen began to look disappointed.

Julia noticed their downcast expressions from afar and felt a pang of sadness. She had hoped that returning to a familiar environment would help Tiffany, but it seemed to have no effect.

Tiffany still had a blank expression, standing among the crowd like a soulless doll.

But soon, Julia noticed something else: although Tiffany's expression hadn't changed, she seemed to stick close to Joseph and Stephen, not wandering off. She stayed by their side the whole time.

Wasn't this the best change?

Julia felt a surge of excitement.

She glanced at the time; it was time to head to the Alice Research Institute. Though she was reluctant, she got up to leave.

Seeing her go, Henry followed suit.

Julia finished her work at the Alice Research Institute early and left ahead of schedule.

She arrived at the kindergarten early to pick up the three little ones.

As soon as she pulled up, she saw Henry already waiting there, having arrived even earlier.

She suddenly remembered Henry's serious words from the morning: since she had helped Tiffany, he wanted to give something back.

His idea of giving back was probably picking up and dropping off the kids from school, right?

Julia didn't stand on ceremony and waited behind him.

In less than five minutes, school was out.

The three little ones quickly emerged, easily recognizable.

They looked like little princes and princesses, with Joseph, Stephen, and Tiffany standing out with their refined demeanor.

Stephen's eyes lit up with surprise when he saw his dad.

Julia noticed the smile in Stephen's eyes but couldn't tell what he was happy about.

Once in the car, Stephen began recounting everything that happened at kindergarten to Julia and Henry.

"After nap time, Tiffany seemed to have a nightmare and woke up crying. The teacher couldn't calm her down, but Joseph and I managed to soothe her. Mommy, do you think Tiffany already knows us in her heart?"

Julia had felt this way in the morning. Hearing Stephen's words, she hoped everything would continue to improve.

She gently stroked Stephen's head. "Yes, it's because you and Joseph took such good care of Tiffany that she's recovering so quickly."

"Really? If Joseph and I keep trying, will Tiffany get even better?" Stephen patted his chest and promised in his sweet childlike voice, "Mommy, I'll definitely be even better to Tiffany. Don't worry!"

Julia looked at Stephen, feeling a wave of tenderness.

The way mother and son interacted made Henry glance at them through the rearview mirror.

Julia had raised the kids well. Their way of speaking and actions were far more mature than their peers.

Did this woman really not know she had given birth to a baby girl years ago?

Henry drove them home, initially planning to leave right away.

But Julia suddenly called out to him, "Stay for dinner. Tiffany would probably love to see more of you."

Henry looked at his daughter, who was being carefully protected by Joseph and Stephen.

He hadn't expected Julia to say that.

A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, and he nodded. "Alright."

Julia led the three little ones inside.

Henry parked the car and followed them in.

Joseph and Stephen were very considerate and hygienic. They washed their hands and then helped Tiffany wash hers before playing with Lego on the carpet.

Henry wasn't sure whether to help Julia in the kitchen or do something else.

There was a nanny in the kitchen.

What about him?

After thinking for a moment, he decided to stay in the living room.

Just like before, he would help the kids with whatever they needed.

He watched as the Lego pieces, which were challenging for adults to assemble, quickly turned into complete sections in the hands of the three little ones.

Once assembled, Stephen hesitated before handing the completed section to Henry.

Henry calmly reached out, and Stephen carefully placed the Lego in his hand. He meticulously assembled the kids' creations.

He knew this was Stephen's way of trying to get closer to him.

Tiffany had been sitting on the floor, watching them play. Suddenly, she reached out towards the Lego.

Joseph and Stephen immediately stopped what they were doing.

They exchanged glances, not daring to say a word, afraid Tiffany might stop reacting.

Tiffany then started to join in, assembling the Lego pieces at a pace similar to Joseph and Stephen.

Joseph and Stephen's eyes lit up with joy.

Henry saw this too, first feeling shocked, then moved.

It seemed Tiffany had already considered them important in her heart. Otherwise, she wouldn't have reacted so quickly during her autism episode.

Julia finished cooking and saw them engrossed in their puzzle.

She called out, "Dinner's ready!"

As soon as she spoke, the soup in her hand fell to the floor with a loud crash.

Henry rushed to her side. "How could you be so careless!"

He examined her arm.

Her arm was visibly red.

Before she could speak, Henry scooped her up and took her to the sink to rinse the burn.

Joseph and Stephen were worried but couldn't help.

They wanted to help clean up, but Lexine quickly took the broom from them.

Lexine said, "I'll do it. You guys stay back; you might get burned."

Joseph and Stephen tried to lead Tiffany away, but she resisted, refusing to move.

Joseph and Stephen exchanged glances and turned to Julia for help.

Julia was rinsing her burn when she heard a sob from outside.

Listening closely, she realized it was Tiffany.

"Tiffany?" Everyone concerned about Tiffany froze and looked towards the sound.

Tiffany was crying pitifully, her eyes red and her face wet with tears.
