Chapter 91 – Don’t Take Prisoners!

LETTICE.

I had a hard time recovering from this blow, but from the moment I got to my feet, I realized who did this to me. His smell gave him away. Big mistake, Noah!

I was sure now that my own son also helped these damn beasts to get out of here. Teresa was gone, and so was Sonia. Anger gripped me and crushed me inside, like the flames of hell where I came from.

But I had her blood, which was ten times stronger than Sonia’s. Now I needed time and concentration to mix the right amount in the serum already made in genetic labs.

I still found it hard to believe how naive Gallagher was when he hired me, but I had to admit he did a good job when he discovered me. This was my blood, my idea of immortality!

But my revenge would be cruel, and all who have betrayed me would pay dearly. Agh, Noah, you just signed your sentence! For your own good, I hope you don’t show up here!

Now I had other important things to do than to think about my traitor son. Leaving everything to chance was not an option for me, since I couldn't afford the risk.

I locked myself in the destroyed lab and with what I had on hand; I created a serum from the fusion of the one already made in Bellingham and Teresa’s blood.

As soon as I mixed them, they reacted. Her blood immediately mixed with the serum I made and they remained fused without fail, without falling apart.

The cells were welding so well and so fast. In less than half an hour, I had in my possession one of the most successful serums I had even created.

My evil plan was taking shape. I would forgive no one. I didn’t care that they were my family. Revenge will reach absolutely everyone. Starting with Sebastian and Vicky and ending with Noah, this traitor of a son. I was understanding his behavior and maybe he was the reason Neveh wasn’t here anymore. She couldn’t have escaped on her own. It was impossible. Someone helped her, and I knew exactly who.

I had no one on my side but these demons, and I didn’t need anyone else. The dice had been rolled, so I just had to test the serum on some of my beasts to see how effective it was.

They could no longer transform; they no longer had a human form. From my former army, only Karl and Simon could turn into humans. I called them to the lab to witness this revelation.

That’s how I got into the minds of some of my demons and gathered them in the lab. They arrived quickly. So were the two servants.

“We have become Lady Lettice, as you commanded!” Karl intervened from the door, making room for his comrade, Simon. “What should we do next?”

“Help me with these demons! You will witness the change in the history of our race. We will triumph over death, and this time we will be invincible.”

My frenzy seemed so unreal to me and everything for what I had worked so hard for was even close.

Without thinking too much, I threw myself at them and hurt them enough to endanger their lives. They didn’t have time to fight back. They immediately fell prey to my claws and fangs.

Karl and Simon helped me and I tied them with chains and now came the moment of truth, the most beautiful part of all.

“Come to mama, my lovely beasts, let’s see how this serum works on you!” I addressed one, approaching slowly. The demon was already in agony, struggling between life and death, writhing in pain, trying to get up, but the claws of death always put him to the ground. We could hear their screams all over the valley. “Come on, stay still, I’ll make you live…”

I approached easily, avoiding his claws with which he hit chaotically and I dropped a few drops into his mouth and then I did the same to the others, and I waited. I didn’t have to wait too long, though.

After only a minute, under my very eyes, the wounds were healing. His scream of pain stopped, and he slowly got to his feet. The same happened with the others. Even ten times faster than I expected.

My venom did not spread into their bodies, and the recovery was quick. Now was the time to gather them and put them in touch with what they had to do.

But first, my plans to attack the Bellingham mansion and the Kielder pack were a priority. I took my accomplices, Karl and Simon, and presented them with a well-developed plan. I had made a map of those places every time I went to the location to spy.

It was a fortress, what they had there, and even if it was just a house, it was very well guarded. I had made the plan, and I knew where each sentinel was. I knew every corner and every hiding spot. They did not leave the forest surrounding the house to chance, either.

I laid out Gallagher’s mansion plans on the lab workbench. Karl and Simon approached curiously.

“This is Gallagher’s house! As you can see, it is a veritable fortress guarded so well that it is difficult for me to say where we could infiltrate. However, I noticed that we have a maximum time of thirty seconds on the north side of the house when the guard would change. Then it would be the perfect time to go inside and take them by surprise!” I explained the plan to the two. Karl intervened immediately.

“Lady Lettice, don’t think that they left the interior unobserved. It is perhaps the most guarded. That’s because there is the girl you had in here, a good friend of hers who got turned into a vampire right after we attacked her again, and now Sonia, too!”

I was furious at hearing their names.

“Sonia ... Agh, it would have been better to have killed her when I didn’t need her anymore. I don’t know why I kept her alive for so long!” I screamed and punched the table. “Who else have you seen there?”

“A powerful man. He seems to be a vampire, and he is always with the transformed girl. He has a big cross tattooed on his right cheek around his eye.” Simon described the only person I really feared.

His powers were unknown to me.

“Erik Von Hagen ... I didn’t expect him to still be in Bellingham. I met him at the conference where I presented my invention and he was a man to be feared. Be very careful with him. We still don’t know what damage the original vampire venom can do to us.” I warned them.

He wasn’t invincible, but I had to take some precautions. Now that I had his daughter’s blood, it would be very easy for me to heal my army of demons.

Despite Victoria’s efforts, she still failed to subdue me, but I will also come to her town to visit her. I had a few words to say to her. “If we could sneak into the mansion when the guards change, we will take them by surprise. They do not expect to use that breach, so I’ll make the most of it. Okay, that’s the plan of attack, for now. The sooner, the better. I will gather all the demons in front of the castle and I will tell them the plan. Now go, I still have some things set up before the great invasion!” I yelled at the two of them, returning to my serums. “Take these three too!” I remembered the handcuffed demons.

It was my accomplishment that I was so proud of. Sebastian Gallagher will have no escape, and I will send him to the afterlife, even if it is the last thing I would do.

The evening quickly settled over Wales, and a light, chilly rain completed the desolated scenery. Looking back, I regretted nothing, maybe only the fact that my love got killed and that’s where it all started.

I condemned my parents the most. Instead of being on my side, they kicked me out and kept me away from my boy. Agh, Noah, another traitor! I’ll deal with him later.

Now, I needed to store these containers of serum somewhere secure. I hid them in my office, where Vicky smashed nothing.

Immediately after my huge miracles were safe, I went down in front of the castle. Karl and Simon were already on the steps, transformed into beasts. I called my children one by one, entering their minds. “Come, my dear ones, gather beside me to begin the creation of a new era, ours, of the powerful and immortal. Let’s eradicate those who do not worship and obey me! We will tolerate nothing; we will attack without mercy and we will destroy and turn to ashes all those who stand in our way. I remind you, they are not our fellows, even if they look like us, but our enemies, and what do we do with them?” I shouted enough for the entire valley to hear me.

My demons all roared in unison, making a deadly noise. I watched them proudly as they followed me through the worst war of my life. “Very well then, tomorrow at dusk we will attack the Bellingham mansion. DO NOT TAKE PRISONERS!”
