CHAPTER 26
     "No ma'am, you know we can't do anything with out your due permission. It's obvious that her videos were leaked by another source definitely not ours because it's quite obvious that she has gathered a whole lot of enemies for herself as a result of her wicked and cruel acts. We didn't do anything like that." He said to Jenn.

"I understand cutie, I just wanted to be sure and I knew you people wouldn't do such a thing without telling. I love you all my sweetheart. Just take care and make sure you're safe. Also, take your time and keep working on evidence that we would use to nail Victoria because she is a very cruel human being." Victoria said and hung up the call and she was happy that it wasn't from her boys rather it was from another source.



Kevin had been trying to get over his assassination attempt but it was way too much for him to comprehend. The State Police had invited him for a thorough investigation of the case so that they could know if he had a suspect or any enemy who could have tried to eliminate him. It wasn't easy for him to move around freely again as he knew that he was now a major target. Kevin had gotten home when he met Jenn who was at the parlor having some fruit juice and potato fries. He greeted her and she responded to his amazement.

"Hello Jenn, it seems you're having a good time seeing your movies as usual." Kevin greeted although he didn't expect any replies from Jenn so, he was shocked when Jenn replied him warmly.

"Welcome my dear, how did your day go, I hope you've started learning how to be safe and free from danger," Jenn said smiling at him as he was very surprised that she would reply to him.

"Thank goodness you replied to me, I'm just coming from the State Police Investigation Center and I'm very tired and exhausted," Kevin explained to Jenn who was surprised that he had gone to the police station.

"You mean you went to the State Police Investigation Center to lodge a report." Jenn asked inquisitively because she wanted to really know his reason of going there.

"No, they actually invited me over for some investigations pertaining to the case of the murder of Edwin and my near assassination attempt," Kevin explained to Jenn tired and weakly because he was already stressed out from the murder investigation and lacked any atom of strength to speak but he actually had no choice than to talk.

"Oh my goodness, I know they must have stressed you out," Jenn said sympathetically.

"Yes my dear, they really did and they almost freaked me out with questions that almost choked me to death." Kevin further explained to Jenn who was all ears.

"Gosh, that's so terrible. Which kinda question did they ask you and I hope they won't call me for investigation too." Jenn asked inquisitively because she really wanted to know the kind of questions that they asked Kevin.

"Well, the major question they were asking me and they wanted to get an urgent answer about was who my primary suspect and enemy was and who I felt could have tried to do that to me," Kevin explained to Jenn whose heart immediately dropped because she felt that Kevin had given her name out as the major suspect and that was going to put her in much trouble because she could be linked to the murder if the perpetrators were not found.

"My God, Kevin you've killed me, how could you tell the police that I was your major suspect." Jenn cried out immediately in utter disbelief.

"I didn't mention you or anyone, I didn't actually have a suspect." Kevin said and Jenn immediately cleaned her tears and breathed a sigh if relief.

"You almost scared me though, thank goodness you didn't mention anyone at all."  Jenn said happily.

"I couldn't have mentioned Jenn because I know how good and loyal you've been to me these few years we've been together and I also know that you have a very tender heart that can not bear to harm anyone. I know that I have messed up a whole lot but I'm seriously willing to change and become a better man. I know it will take time but I will definitely prove my genuineness to you and you will come back to love me and be the wife I married." Kevin said soberly and Jenn looked away because deep down, she wasn't taking any of the stunt Kevin was trying to pull.

"I have heard you Kevin and I will watch you. I hope you don't turn into the monster you are when you get out of this mess." Jenn said trying to feign sympathy because Kevin only talked sweetly to her when he was in a mess and needed some one to tidy it up.

"I promise to be different this time around and I will prove it to you. I just hope I get over the stigma of this near assassination attempt that could have ended my life." Kevin cried soberly and emotionally.

"Well, it's okay Kevin and I know and believe that you'll be okay soonest. I made some chicken soup and rice and I can go get you some now." Jenn said to Kevin.

"Ohh, that's so thoughtful of you, please go get it, I will be in the dining room waiting," Kevin said and Jenn immediately dashed out to go get the food.



"I can't watch Victoria try to play the dirty games to her favor, no I'm going to send those documents to the State Police Investigation Center and watch them track and take her down because she has bitten more than she can chew." Jenn soliloquized aloud and she immediately sent the documents in anonymous format to the State government and she was willing to watch them destroy Victoria
