RedHury Or Fury

RedHury Or Fury
Chapter 34.

The Sun cast its warm glow on the earth, tilting everyone's head and its direction as it became the star of the moment.

"I regret complaining about the cold because it seems like the goddess heard and made us regret it." Kael murmured with a smile, as he arrived a few feet shy of the Pack.

Horses neighed in the distance, a sign of life. It was a quiet place but sufficient enough for Aria to perfect her recovery. Nobody was going to enjoy watching all of the stress gone through by somebody who should have just relaxed and enjoyed every waking moment.

Aria laughed, "you seem excited to be here. This is the first. Who would have thought that you have all people who would love to be somewhere like this?"

Kael dragged out a throaty laugh. "Look, there are many layers to me that you would never know. I don't mean to be rude but I came to be sheltered in such a way that no one can predict my next move." He bragged.

It was definitely one of those times that Aria had a glimpse of the kind of man he was behind the mask he had perfected.

Nobody had the right to question him about his choices but that didn't mean that people didn't have suspicions or questions that might have sounded rude.

"I don't know anything about you because you have not deemed it fit to tell me what I need to know." She continued, as they set on. She balanced on his back, while hoping that he didn't drop her out of pain.

It was an overreaction but that didn't change the fact that there was nothing to worry about when it came to this man.

He was as sturdy as a tree.

"You don't need to keep worrying about things that do not concern you. It leaves you cynical, and gives off the wrong ideas. I don't want you to be caught up in that trap when you can just have a swell time. You deserve some rest." He brushed her off gently.

"Some rest will be had when I have the time to finally deal with it. For now I need something that keeps me away from my reality but gives me hope that I can be better than what I currently am."

"Okay, then. If there is anything else to add to this I will not hesitate but as the days go by, I think that we need to be careful about the people we allow into our space because they can end up turning on us." Kael stopped in front of the gate with an insignia.

"RedHury Pack." Aria tested words on her tongue just to be sure that she had gotten it right.

"It is known for its ability to keep secrets. I don't think it is much considering the fact that there are a lot of things going on in the werewolf world and no one has access to that later information but it works." Kael supplied as they walked in.

After wandering for a long time. He was one of the best people to seek advice from when it came to mingling with others and she would be damned if she didn't take his advice whenever he issued them.

"He doesn't take anyone anything to break in but they wouldn't because of the formidable empire they have built for themselves after a long time. I'm sure that most of them do not compromise their standards and that was why I brought you in here." He reiterated as though she was going to forget the major reason they came here in the first place.

She could have been weak but that didn't mean that she was dumb and that shouldn't have been his only consolation to getting things done accordingly.

"Look, I'm a little bit tired and I want to rest but I hope that this place is not going to weigh me down like other places or try to pull some stunts that I'm not used to."

"It is crazy that you would think that I would subject you to some sort of problematic conditions after everything I have told you." Kael's voice tainted with hurt.

"I'm sorry for assuming but I can only be sure of myself to protect me and nobody else in the world. It might take a longer time but I'm sure that I will do a great job." Aria laughed even though there was nothing funny.

As soon as they stepped into the gates, she felt a gust of wind blow through her. Whatever that might have been, it wasn't normal and if she wasn't careful she was going to be blown away with the entire season.

"We are here."

A man looking so majestic appeared. "What brings you over here after decades?" He inquired.

"Come off it Micah. I told you I was bringing a new person in. What did you think I was talking about?" Kael brushed his intimidating stance off

Most of the time Aria had always seen him in a serious mode but now that he was contrasting it with a playful one she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows at the fact that she could have been wrong all along.

"Still ever uptight. So nothing has softened you up as the days go by."

If this was the way the men communicated then the bear wasn't going to be anything else other than the fact that this was the right place for her to be.

"You brought her in after knowing what she's capable of? I don't want any problems on my land. We have been at peace for the longest time. If you can assure me that she is not going to bring any problems then we have nothing to worry about." Alpha Micah said.

"Are you going to bring problems to this place, Aria?" Kael threw the question at her.

"No."

"Then we have a winner. You are welcome to the RedHury Pack."

A sense of foreboding scratched at Aria.
